are not an immoral piece of clothing...😆

Purvi's backless blouses are not immoral but a recent fashion trend in Kolkata..😳

Its been the trend in last 4-5 yrs in Kolkata. Ladies get such blouses tailored with fancy cutout designs in the back and on the sleeves. Many of my lady friends (all respectable, married ladies😆) did get such blouses tailored and wear them to Pujas, functions and parties.
Its the IN thing now...in fact one of my friends got a blouse tailored, exactly like Purvi's, with the tassle at the neck and hooks fastening down below.

This trend in backless blouses amongst Bengali ladies has been influenced by the huge Marwari/ Rajasthani community in Kolkata. Their Chaniya choli is completely backless with only strings attaching the 2 sides throughout. Fancy cutouts on sleeves are also inspired from Choli style.

Many tribal women in Rajasthan and Gujrat wear those completely backless blouses attached only by strings, that is the Choli style. Its a traditional thing in many states so adapted by latest fashion designers across the country including Kolkata.

And Purvi's style of wearing saris is also common in Bengal, especially in traditional homes and in villages. My late Saas used to wear it that style at home, our grandmas, grand-aunts all wore sari that style at home and even outside. Its called the Gharoa style in Bengali which means "Homely" style.
Nowadays many fashionable ladies and girls wear benarasi or kantha saris Gharoa style to weddings and religious functions. Many traditional fashions are coming back into vogue like the gharoa style and choli style blouses.
I hope Purvi's dressing confusion is cleared now...😃

Yeah but I am sure your friends don't so preach sanskaars, morality etc and point out others when her standard of good doesnt match them
I wear clothes like Ovi too , at least used to before I gained weight
And I see nothing wrong in it
But if I preached about sanskaar , etc i wouldn't wear transparent saris and backless blouses as it diverts the kind of attention many woman wouldn't want

Do u mean to say my friends and cousins who wear those backless blouses are un-sanskari? Immoral? 😲 I take offence to that!
What do saris and blouses have to do with sanskars?😕
As for transparent saris, even Archana wore them, I remember the white one, she looked gorgeous in it. Why point out every single thing that Purvi does or wears to express hatred/dislike of her character?
Yes, u can make fun of her horrible wigs, even I do that...😆
But criticizing her blouses means ur saying Rajasthani choli, Gujju tribal cholis are all indecent and immoral, unsanskari items of clothing? Now that is bashing a culture, isnt it?

I can't believe you judge the character Purvi by her backless blouses. There is nothing wrong in it. Even some naked people look good. It is how they are perceived. Have you ever considered that your perception may be wrong?

Backless blouses come in as she was a married lady in Kolkata, where I visited recently and saw women wear such blouses at functions. Its not abnormal or indecent.
Its wrong to judge a traditional piece of clothing without knowing anything abt the cultures that wear it!
Purvi doesnt live in red light area anymore. Their kholi looks completely different from that kholi they had initially rented in red light area.
If Purvi still lives in red light area, then Savita's friend also lives there...right next door! Savita visited her friend in red light area? 😲😆
That doesnt make sense, does it? 😆 Im sure Onir moved house as soon as he knew it was a bad area, hes not that irresponsible!

Stop twisting my words , I said I am sure your friends don't PREACH about Sanskaars and JUDGE people of they don't match up to their standards
India is a free country they can wear whatever they want
But then don't be a hypocrite and point finger at others 😆
If wearing backless blouses which gains the wrong sort of attention from
Men in the streets are okay , she should not point finger at punni when she had an affair with Mittal and she should also not point a finger at Ovi when she was drinking
If her dressing is her choice , then their life is their choice too
Now coming to the part about sanskaars and etc , I think , personally any clothing that gains the wrong sort of attention from unwanted people are immoral
When you're referring to people wearing cholis etc
They live in a place where it's common
Girls wear shorts here too , it doesn't mean it becomes good
Of course it's personal choice again
I wore them too
But guys themselves call those girls horrible thing who wear short shorts and tight shorts
Just because they are trendy , they don't become okay
Also keep in mind Purvi is no high society woman where it's alright
My mom wears sleeveless blouses
But she wouldn't wear that on streets of India or public places where people can look at her twice 😆
