I don't know if anyone remembers the slight hullabaloo that happened last year when RD was practicing for the ITA and he jokingly said "What was the need to bring in Purvi?" He was joking but some members took it the wrong way and demanded he publicly apologize for what he said. They even bashed him when earlier they called themselves his fans. It was only later when Asha had to defend him and clarify things that things quieted down. There was an interview and you could clearly sense from the way RD was talking how hurt he was and I'm very proud that Asha stood up for him because she knew what people were saying was wrong. So did RD deserve those hurtful comments from his "fans"? No. Similarly, you can't expect Shruti to let everything roll off of her like water. Things like this do hurt the actors.
