I choose not to edit my post because men around the world are not brought up the way they are brought up in India our so call "sanskars" are suppose to be superior we are taught to pray to goddess Laxmi and we are taught values from day one. This is a problem in India because we gave corruption everywhere and the menatliy of our people is in the gutter. Unfortunately I am of Indian decent and grew up in India, so when I'm ashamed I have no shame in speaking about it. My family was raised in India as well we are all very ashamed and I can really spark about India in a good light. Telling me that rape is a universal problem spray make things better for India it just creates an excuse. Lets face it my daughter is safer outside of India.

Rape is not confined to any country, race, or religious grouping. We find these deranged persons in every society. It would appear that throughout the world this phenomenon is increasing as we become less values based and more materialistic, as we become more individualistic than community oriented, as we become more worldly and less God-fearin, as we lose our spitiruality for the more mundane things of the world.

It's high time the international community becomes aware of the extent to which rape takes place in India. For decades, every 20 minutes a female is raped in the dalit community and nobody addresses the situation because these people are considered "sub humans" by other higher caste. Now that women in the other castes are facing the same fate, it now appears to be a problem! ...When would people realise that religion was made by man, but man was made by the almighty and powerful God who made everyone equal? Will they ever get it!

Rape is a scourge on the world. India is one place where it is happening, but it is happening at alarming rates in other countries too. There's a form of rape that we do not talk about: state sponsored rape. This is the rape wof men women and children that happens during war. It is happening in every place on this earth where people are at war: Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur, Syria, Palestine, Kashmir, Mogadishu, Somalia, Ethipoia, to name but a few countries.
