I agree with you..My first post says use some sort of BC..If they don't want to use any sort than abstinence is the only answser...BC it is not an answer to have an unprotected sex, & have an abortion...Its not fair for one to have unprotected sex than have a child and put it up for adoption or in the system at tax payer's expense..I think you would agree to that.Originally posted by: Luv4games
I honestly cant see the point of giving birth to someone when you cannot take care of them...when I was living in pakistan I used to see couples in slums have tons of kids and they didnt have food or clothes...other times there are children that are being neglected because their parents werent ready for them...why bring up a child when you are just going to let them be miserable?
I understand that if one doesnt want a child then they should take precautions but no form of birth control is 100% effective...and expecting people to practice abstinence for life is not realistic...all pro-life activites should invest their energy on those children that are already in this world and dont have food, clothes, shelter or love...there is no need to force others to have kids who will be just as neglected because they didnt want it in first place...

only time we may agree. however, i dont agree with the rape concept though. for me if people are against abortion because of the claim that there is a living child inside the body, then does the child stop being a child because the violence used in its conception. i dont think people would say yes to that. i know that the most difficult thing to do after being raped is carry the rapist child.it is an awful thing to do but worse for me is to kill a human being. i can't imagine telling a rape victim no to an abortion but at the same time how can i say a fetus is a human being but not if it was rape. anti-abortionist tend to think that a fetus and a child out of womb is on the same status. i cant say rape as the exemption if i want to keep my beliefs consistent. i too used to be exemption rape untill a girl in my class stated that what fault is it of the child that he/she was concieved in rape. i bring this point forward bc i dont think many people think about the actual child of rape bc their focus is on the rape victim and they dont want to further trauamatize them. its too much of a horror to ask them to carry their rapist child. and yet throughout the century its been done. in fact during the banagladesh liberation war woman were systematically raped and bore their rapists child to full term.i think this is a very good topic to open up because we have opened up a dialogue for a very serious issue in the real world. rarely in this forum has such a serious issue been discussed and this is a great teaching moment
