Part 13
Purvi had called up Archana informing the arrival of Manav & Ovi to their place. Archana was really happy but at the same time she was sad. She knew what was this visit all about. The uncompleted divorce proceedings. But Ovi's visit was unexpected. She looked forward to seeing her daughter again. Even if she hated her.
But she was very delighted when Purvi gave her the news that she was pregnant. Archana thanked the Gods repeatedly for bestowing so much happiness in her daughter's life. Archana was also worried that how Ovi might react to it. Ovi had desperately wanted to stop Arjun & Purvi's marriage. She worried that Ovi, in her anger, might do something to harm her. That would be disastrous. So she called up Arjun.
Arjun- Yes aunty??
Archana- Arjun I heard that Manav is coming to visit you guys.
Arjun- Umm...yes...Manav uncle & Ovi.
Archana- So...are you okay with it??
Arjun- Aunty I would not lie to you but I dont want Ovi near Purvi. Now I know that sounds bad but aunty, I dont trust her at all.
Archana- (sighing) I know Arjun. I understand. Have you talked to Purvi about it?? About being a little careful??
Arjun- I couldn't. She is so happy aunty.
Archana- Tell her what you think Arjun. What we think. Tell her to be careful around Ovi & if possible dont tell them that Purvi is pregnant.
Arjun- I will talk to Purvi. She is all I have. Thanks a lot aunty.
Archana- She is my daughter Arjun. She is all I have too. I may not have given birth to her but she is my life. I hope everything will be fine.
Arjun- I hope so too aunty.
Arjun hung up & felt a little better. At least there was someone who thought like him. When he talked to his father about Ovi, he had said that there is nothing to worry about.
He knew Ovi from the childhood. She has got everything she has wanted. Not a single thing was denied to her. If there was something she did not like she kept on throwing tantrums & sometimes being super hyper until it was removed. It would turn into her obsession & this time Arjun was her obsession & the only thing she thought was in her way was Purvi. Arjun thought of a way to keep Ovi & Purvi away from each other. He suddenly got an idea & called DK.
DK- Yes son??
Arjun- Dad...can you please ask Manav uncle to meet us somewhere outside??
DK- Outside?? Why??
Arjun- Please dad...can you do that for me??
DK- Okay. I will ask him. But what is the matter Arjun??
Arjun- Nothing Dad. Thanks Dad.
He hung up feeling relaxed. He turned around & saw Purvi standing behind him with her arms crossed & staring at him angrily.
