Arjun knew he was in trouble the minute he saw Purvi. She was glaring at him with full force. Arjun smiled at her & in response the intensity of Purvi's accused glare doubled. Arjun's smile vanished. It was evident that Purvi heard the call he made to DK. He breathed deeply & took a step towards her.
Arjun- Purvi...listen...
Purvi- I dont want your excuses. I just want to know that why did you ask Dad to tell Baba to meet us somewhere outside home???
Arjun- Purvi...what's the difference? We will be meeting them na. Outside or home. Does it matter??
Purvi- Yes it does matter. It matters Arjun. He wanted to come & meet us here. Not outside. Baba will be hurt Arjun.
Arjun- Purvi, I know you are upset. But I have a reason for doing this. I have a reason.
Purvi- What reason???
Arjun- I dont want Ovi near you anywhere Purvi. I dont trust her. Moreover you are pregnant Purvi. Ovi will not take this news the good way.
Purvi's expression softened as she subconsciously placed a hand on her stomach. She was happy that Arjun loved her & the baby so much, but she thought he was overreacting.
Purvi- Arjun, outside also we will still be meeting her.
Arjun- Umm...yeah...
Purvi- What is it Arjun???
Arjun- Yes. We will be meeting Manav uncle & Ovi. We as in...me, Dad & Archana Aunty. I dont want you to go Purvi.
It killed him to say that to Purvi. He had seen how excited Purvi was on this...but Purvi's safety is more than her happiness, especially now when they were going to be parents. He watched her as her face drooped & became sad. Her eyes watered. Arjun went near her & took her in his arms.She started weeping.
Purvi- Arjun...how can you say that?? He is my Baba. I want to see him.
Arjun- Trust me Purvi. I understand. If Ovi would not have come na...I would have surely asked Manav uncle to come to our place. Trust me.
Purvi- But why are you so afraid of Ovi being with me?? Will she be able to do anything to me when you, Baba, Aai & Dad will be there?? I dont think so.
Arjun- I know Purvi. But I dont want to take any chances. You & baby are both very precious to me. Please Purvi. Please stay at home.
She did not say anything. She just stood there crying for a long time with Arjun holding her tightly. When she pulled away, she wiped her tears & smiled at him.
Purvi- Come back soon Arjun & tell me what happened there.
Arjun- Thank you Purvi.
Purvi- Okay. Now go get ready or you will be late.
Arjun- Yes ma'am.
Arjun was finally relieved that Purvi was staying at home safe.
