then Ekta took the first leap and suddenly changed the whole story .Wanted to put in an extra marital affair for Manav( with Ashna ) .Sushant left the show then because he had enough of it .

Ankita stayed on ..Even though she is in her 20's , Ekta Kapoor made her a mother of girls of the same age and in fact Teju is older in real life than Ankita ...still Ankita gave it her 100 % .At that time Ekta even promised her a new role and what not ...

But instead of a new role , Archana was made into a grand mother ...That is when Ankita decided to leave ...

I am 100 % with Ankita ..She is probably here for just another one month or so and then she will leave ...but till she is here , I hope to see her looking gorgeous in nice clothes and enjoying herself ...

All the best to the actor who will replace her , hope she will not be taken for granted the way Ankita was .

If this show carries on then I will not be surprised if after 6 months , Ekta will take the next leap and we will see Shruti Kanwar ( who is only 20 right now ) playing a mother of a 12 year old kid ...

Can't blame actors for getting fed up one day .

I want to agree and I disagree as well. I know, ambivalent me.😆

While the tracks were forced upon the actors by Ekta Maiyya, with complete disregard to what they were told before, isn't it upon the actors to decide to stay on? AND if they do choose to stay on, act the part, honor the commitment. Just because EK doesnt keep her word, doesnt mean that all of them have to be that way.

We all know Anki is beautiful, young and dazzling. We have seen that in PR for so long. Just being the mother of 4-5 should not take away from that fact. But adding a touch of grey or draping a saree will not make Ankita old. It will make Archana old. Ankita is not Archana. Isnt that the first rule for actors? While you have to relate to the part you are playing, you should not be that character in real life? Reel vs Real debate?

But on the plus side, I am enjoying Ankita looking fabulous. I wish more of us would look like that at 50 plus as the character Archana looks. It is indeed good to portray women as someone who not only takes care of the family, but of themselves as well.

Touch of grey ??

Who has grey hair in PR ???

Manjusha , Savita , Sulochna , Manav , Vinod ...all these characters are older than Archana ...so why only this demand of greying your hair for Ankita only ...

I think to grey the hair , the demand should first go to Sulochna and Savita ( the oldest girl in PR )

The character of Varsha is just a few years younger than Archana but she too is wearing full make up, has not done grey hair ( she is supposed to be poor )

These days women who are 50 do not have grey hair ( I am talking about the majority who live in cities and have rich husbands like Archana has ) , they get their hair died and enjoy experimenting with different hair styles ...

She wil lcomplete her notice period and thn only leave ..She is not doing anything wrong here ...Actors have left the show earlier also , Ashna , Ajit, Shravani, Dharmesh ...all of them left as they did not wish to part of leaps ...

Now Ankita too is leaving but after completing her notice period .

but archana as a chrter is wearing better clthes in the age of 50 plus,she used to wear bad clthes at strt of pr

there are many ators who play chrcters above their age

i know anki is not comfy,and i totally agree

she shld have quitted befre,and if she wants to leave the show

leave it gracefully na

i am not saying grey ur hair etc

but wear sarees,she used to do it berfe na

I really dont understand what the fuss is over her dressing...

1. Like many have pointed out, there are many other things to worry about in the show than her dressing. She is not even getting a meaty role here so it doesnt matter. she is not the lead anymore, she is only there for few seconds so who cares what she is wearing.

2. who said women in 50's cannot look that young. My mom is mid 50s.. she doesnt have wrinkles on her face, her hair is natually black and obviously living abroad, she wears western outfit.. no one can say she has 2 grown up and married children. and this is just one example. i know of so many. one of my aunts 40+ is absolutely gorgeous (natural beauty) and has maintained her body as well and we all feel inferior next to her. plus she has a rich doctor husband so she is always decked up.

3. and talking about Archana as a character, come one she was with Ovi... if the daughter is wearing a short western dress, and mom in a kurti... i dont see any problems there... they looked perfectly normal to me.. thats how most of this generation is.

and like it or not, i was actually laughing seeing her with a whole new attitude... reminded me of myself when i gave in my 2 week notice at work and how i enjoyed last 2 weeks ( and almost last month because i knew i was leaving)... its a great feeling...

Times and situations change in life and we too change according to times ...

What someone wears when they were 20 would be different what htey wear at 50 ...

What I am trying to say that the wife of a multi millionaire , a beatiful woman of 50 years of age ...wearing Kurta and jeans is something I find complelety natural and do not find anything wrong with it .l..Yes , her face looks very young ...but what to do ..

She is here for only 2 or 3 more weeks yaar ..Just let her fans enjoy this little bit of her role ..She only gets one scene anyways ...

I am in mid forties and the last time I wore a saree was 6 years ago at my cousin's wedding ..

Most of my days I am wearing track pants and a t shirt and also wear a pony tail because I find it easier to work around with my hair tied up ..I am sure I will be dressed this way for a long long time ...

My aunts and cousins in Karachi and Lahore ( above 50 ) are all dressed in Kurtas and jeans and leggings ...

I do not find anything wrong in what she is wearing at all...but yes, her face looks very young to be a woman of 50 ...Maybe they should get someone who is older to play Archana now ...

i feel she is getting few scens cause she doesnt want to coperate

i wont blame her for dis,i get irritaed whn sum1 of my age calls me aunty

but wat i meant was,i was okay till it was a salwar kammez dupatta,

but nw dupatta flew away,wich honestly i cant digest seeing archan wearing

if varsha wld ahve worn dis,it wld b still okay

for eg-after leap we saw purvi wearing bengali saree,but if v wld have seen her wearing microminis,it wld b not acceptable easily

i go to gym where i see aunties wearing shorts working out,but i will b shocked if i see my mom wearing jeans

if ankita wears minnis or shorts,kurtis i am okay widit

if archan wears it so i have a problem

Sherma dear Archu is not wearing some out of tradition clothes,she is wearing typical modern day dress that woman of all age wear i.e chudhidar..She is wearing kurtha/chodidhaar which is normal and now a days many ladies above 50 wear it.What difference it makes if she wears saree or chudhidhaar.

In fact if they grey her hair and ask her to wear granny style saree ,she will look way out of context there.The fact that Anki is way too young to portray a granny role is the true factor.No matter what make up you do,the youthfulness of the person will come out.Just like no make up can hide your aging old,similarly no make up can hide the youthfulness of a person too.It is bound to show anyways.Ekta wants all her leads to look beautiful in TV with nice clothes .We have seen this trend in all the shows and at the moment its not like Archu is wearing some western dress or something,all she is wearing is Kurtha/chodidaar which is common across and even my mom wears it.Saree or kurtha ,she is going to look gorgeous in it anyway and I guess there are way too much senseless non-sense and illogical crap shown at the moment that searching logic in dressing of characters/actors becomes negligible here.

I think what was much more objectionable was a 5 months pregnant Ovi , having complications in pregnancy but still wearing 6 inches heels ... I think Ankita is fully co operating and her role is less because the writers want to slowly fade her out of important tracks ...

and that is the right thing to do ...they will bring in the new Archana just before a track that relates to Archana ...

the same happened when Sushant was leaving .Slowly his role was faded into the back ground and manav 's track only became important when the new Manav came i nthe show ...
