There were so many speculations of what is to come, what will happen next, who will be the father of Purvi's child, Who will be the father of Ovi's child, What will Arjun do, How did Purvi get to Kolkatta, How will it end before the leap.
Well... today we got some of our answers, for the remaining numerous questions, we will have to wait post leap. We are now Facing the Unknown in PR's world. As of today, each person has come to a new point in their lives, a new stage their destiny and what is next to come and what next they will face, is anyone's guess.
YES - Some of the dialogues made us want to laugh as we know better, and yes - we got upset hearing the words. But listen and look beyond the words to see the real feelings.
Arjun: As Arjun realised what he has done, he could not believe he lost his cool and readily apologised. But not apologised for saying what he said, for he loves Purvi and that is the ultimate truth ' but for making a scene. As he faced the love of his life outside the hotel and shouted at her that he loved HER ' no one else, his frustrations and pain were evident. His hurt and anger that she does not listen to him. As she went on about you how he hurt Ovi's feelings ' he stood there and his expression was "But my feelings are hurt". Arjun threw his hands up in frustration and slumped his shoulders in grief. Next, it was not the words our hearts wanted to hear that came out of Purvi's mouth as she begged him to make Ovi happy and work on their marriage, nor was it the words Arjun wanted to hear ' but for her sake and upon request ' he closed his eyes ' slowly ' with love and reverence for the woman that stood before him and held his pain in and the tears as well. Firmed his jaw in rebuttal against what she said, and even with his eyes closed you felt and saw his pain at her words. His love caused him his pain and sorrow. He could not look her in the eyes as he promised to TRY to forget her and not to look for her... he could not face her while doing so. But that is all he promised and he had to let her know that HE LOVED HER - "I love you Purvi".
Purvi: Yes - she is mahaan, yes - she is foolish, yes - she left Arjun even after he announced to the world and beyond that he loved her. But ' the girl really had no choice today. Today, she saw and felt that she is the cause for her aai's problems. She felt that without her, Ovi's insecurities would fade away; she felt that for Arjun to move on ' she needed to be away from him. As she spoke to Arjun, it felt as if that was one of the hardest things she had to do in her life... and it probably was. There was pain, sadness AND regret in her eyes as she pleaded with him. She could not leave him with him looking at her with his pain and love ' he had to close his eyes. As she went to the only home she ever knew... and faced the only family she had ' she said goodbye to that life. Purvi did what was right for Purvi today... she did what was right for her aai and Ovi and she did what she FELT WAS RIGHT for Arjun. We may wonder how is it that Purvi sees everyone's pain and not Arjun's ' she does see it... but she is now helpless to do anything about it, so she decided to do the next best thing - LEAVE.
Ovi: Today, I did not dislike Ovi. No - I pitied Ovi. One can only feel sorry for such a person. Ovi, needs help, she needs to see a professional. Her parents should have seen to it, but they didn't and things will get bad for her before they get better. Today, I continue to see Ovi's self involved nature. For if she was looking at Arjun, she would have seen that he was "saying the right words" but with pain in his eyes and sadness in his voice. The hug was a comfort to her, but a compromise for him. How can a woman in love with a man, not be aware of HIS feelings, HIS sadness and HIS pain. Because she is not in love - she is only obsessed. And for this to be treated, she needs help, instead of being treated with kid gloves. Ovi will make bad for herself and no one seem to have the power to help her. I truly feel sorry for her.
Archana: No mother, no matter the circumstances, want their child to go out into the unknown without their protection, without knowing if they had their breakfast, is safe, is healthy. That's one of the worst feeling a person can have ' and its 100 times worst for a mother. Archana today had to let go of her daughter... of her Purvi. She didn't have much of a choice. And I feel the helplessness of the situation is what is painful more than anything else. It's debateable whether Archana showed enough of a concern for Purvi or Ovi post the wedding fiasco, if she did, she would have known that Purvi was in pain and could not see Arjun with another woman. She would have also known that Ovi was facing insecurities and not be victim to Punni's machinations AND she would have seen that "Arjun has moved on" NOT! But, all that aside, today, you felt that Archana was indeed sad to see Purvi face the big bad world alone and indeed helpless, for she knows she contributed to the situation with her actions as examples in Purvi's life (she did say Purvi is like her... Purvi too is following her lead). Today - I felt a mother's pain.
ArVi: YES - They are still ONE! As Daarmiya played in the background and we had many many beautiful flash back scenes, including our famous Arjun Confession, Purvi's confession, dahi handi, chawl scene, hug in the rain at the airport ' Arjun and Purvi showed their love. Her - gently, remorsefully touching his picture...in a true sense of saying GOODBYE and him, unable to drive for he is so consumed with his thoughts of Purvi and how things went wrong. We all felt that love, we were touched by it and some of us may have even given up on that love and cried for them.
Is this the end of ArVi? As Purvi left Arjun standing alone at the hotel with no looking back and Arjun looking at the heavens when he realised Purvi had left and dropped his head in acceptance - do we wonder "Is this it?"
We are indeed facing the unknown and only time will tell my friends. Do I hear 6 months time? 😉
p.s. Cannot complete this post without saying FANTASTIC acting by the cast!!! No matter how crappy the story line, we all stay in it for the fabulous portrayal of the characters by Rithvik, Asha, Ankita, Shruti and today even Jia with her smirk looks and Hiten as the loyal husband Manav.They actors of this show made us all feel for our fave characters today!!!
