Chapter 26: The Start(s) of Something New
April 28^th, 2012: Karanjkar Chawl, 7:30 p.m.
Purvi: Aai! Aai!
Archana: I should've known that that was why you were busy asking me questions—
Purvi: Aai—
Archana: How did you that he was here anyways—
Purvi: AAI!
Archana: *deep breath* What?
Purvi: Are you…. Not happy with what we did?
Archana: No, it's not that. I don't know what I was feeling, I was shocked, I—
Purvi: Aai, I was only trying to help you get what you want.
Archana: I appreciate that but—
Purvi: But what? All my life you've been talking about Baba, and now that he's back, you're running away!?
Archana: I wasn't running away!
*Kunjal, Soham, and Seher (Soham and Seher are all caught up now) slowly walk out of the room in which they were hearing the conversation in*
Archana: *calms down* Look, I was shocked. Did you seriously think that I could handle that?
Purvi: No, Aai. But I didn't expect you to run away like that either.
Archana: I know it's what you want, what I want, what everyone wants, but I'm not ready for it.
Purvi: Well Aai, even after today I wasn't done. And now, I'm not going to stop either. Archana: *deep breath* Purvi, I think it's best if you—
Purvi: No. You can't—you won't stop me. *leaves the room slowly*
Archana: *puts her head down on the table*

Archana: *gets up to leave*
Soham: Wait, Aai. We (him and Kunjal) have to talk to you.

Sachin: Okay, so hold up. You (Arjun) and Nikhil knew everything about her and where she was, and thought that this—
Arjun: Was what we had to do.
Teju: They're right, Dada. This is what they—we have to do. It's a now or never situation and you very well acknowledge that.
Sachin: How did Baba take everything though?
Nikhil: I'm honestly…. Not too sure.
Sachin: But don't you think that after everything—
Teju: We should forget the past and just start over.
Riya: Teju's right Sachin. You have to accept the fact that everything that did happen, was all stupid. And if the time to fix any mistakes does come about, then you should very well take it. God knows if you'll ever have the chance again.

Arjun, Nikhil, Teju, Riya: Yes!
Sachin: So wait, where did Baba go?
Arjun: He's showering.
Riya: For two hours?
Teju: Well, he always thinks in there. Maybe…
Nikhil: Maybe we'll find a way through this, na?

Manav: Okay, seriously, I understand what's going on. Arjun, actually everyone, what you're doing is beyond amazing. I can't not appreciate that.
Everyone's face suddenly lights up, and all worries vanished.
Arjun: So…
Manav: I'm ready. 21 years is a long time. Just tell me what to do.
Teju: Hmmm… well, we were thinking….
Manav: Oh…. Great.
Everyone had a good laugh at that one.

*ring ring*
Purvi: Hello?
Arjun: I had the feeling you would still be up.
Purvi: Hmmm… I wonder why.
Arjun: Hey. Don't use that tone with me.
Purvi: You seem to be in a good mood.
Arjun: And you seem to be in a bad one.
Purvi: You first.
Arjun: Well, Uncle scared the living hell out of us pretending he was going to practically kill me, and then he started laughing and said what we were doing was sweet and that he was ready. We just… have to keep him in the loop.
Purvi: That's great.
Arjun: At least try and be happy na?
Purvi: Well, considering Aai is being a chicken, it's kind of hard for me to.
Arjun: Oh… Sorry.
Purvi: You know, the first time you told me you were sorry, I started freaking out. "He knows the meaning of sorry!?!?!?"
Arjun: Thanks. *sarcastically* I'll remember that.
Purvi: Sorry.
Arjun: You know what your problem is? You say sorry way too much.
Purvi: You know, it may seem to you that way because you hardly ever use the word.

Seher: Tai! Dada! Didi!
Kunjal, Soham, Purvi: Seher? You're still awake?
Seher: *out of breath from running* Who—cares—aunty—said—she's—ready.
Kunjal, Soham, Purvi: WHAT!?!?!??!?!?!?
Seher: She said she would do it. *takes breath* She wants it more than anything too.
Purvi: Perfect timing. *sarcastically*
Archana: *walks in* See what happens when you don't lose hope?
Purvi smiles, then runs to go hug Archana.
Archana: Okay, so Seher, maybe it's just me, but am I the only one that remembers you have school tomorrow?
Seher: Haan, but—
Purvi: No buts, Seher. First school, then… life.
Soham: *laughs* Let's go Seher*

Who said I fell asleep later that night? I'll get to work on time. And if not, I'm pretty sure Sir won't kill me.
Why was everyone using the same phrase, though? Coincidence, maybe?
Life, is confusion.

April 29^th, 2012:
-A: Most of today went by in a blur. To think, I've spent so long, regretting what we did back in our college days. Now, soon—tomorrow, I'll fix it. I'll fix it with an idea that Nikhil came up with. I'll fix it with the planning I did with Miss Purvi. Most of all, I'll get to see a happy family. And I'm probably psyched because I've never had one.

-P: The minute I told Sir what had happened early this morning, I could automatically see the relief in his eyes, even though smiling wasn't a part of the equation. He truly was looking out for me. To think, soon—less than 24 hours from now, my family will be complete. My Aai's family. My Dada's family. We'll be happy. And most of all, I'll remember how many (seriously) relationships changed in this experience.

-R: My brother… he's… well. Okay, so at least I know why he's been acting the way he has. The only reason I worried in the first place was because it didn't make sense. But now, I'm convinced, and happy. Happy that my brother's happy. Happy that Purvi will get her family back. But most of all, I'm happy that my brother learned a couple things throughout all this.

-N: Okay. So, tomorrow's the day. I was so excited that I even forgot to eat my in between dinner and midnight snack—snack. That's a first. It's really great, to see that Arjun—and Riya too. They're both… relaxed actually.

-A: Soham and Purvi caught me up. I'm ready. I'm ready to fix this mess that I helped make 21 years ago. But through all the things Purvi's put me through these last two days, I realized that I want my family back. And it's time. I'm not losing the opportunity to get that. It happens tomorrow, or never. I'm now, determined.

-M: The kids caught me up, and I'm more than prepared. I don't even need to think about what to say. It's been 21 years since I've been gullible. And I've been ready. Ready since I found out. It all happens tomorrow. I get the family that I want—that my kids want tomorrow. And most of all, I get the answers to my questions tomorrow.

April 30^th, 2012: Beach, 7:30 a.m.
-P: Today… it's cloudy. That, right there was probably the most positive thought I've had so far. I'm worried, irritated, and under rested. NOT a good combination. *sarcasm* And lucky for me, no one else seems to be either.
Arjun: Riya! Where the heck is Teju!?!?!
Riya: I just called her and she said that she's on—
Teju: Sorry! I'm here!
-T: There were a lot of questions running through my mind. Most of them will be answered today. Arjun had explained to Sachin and I the whole Aai's other daughter situation. The whole how this daughter came about thing… well let's wait and watch. But I have to say, she was… really beautiful. And modest… like the younger version of what Baba described as our Aai.
Purvi: Okay, Riya, did you—
Teju: Oh! Sachin just said that he got things going at home. Nikhil's on his way.
Arjun: What about you?
Purvi: Kunjal's working it too.
Riya: Okay, so—hey look it's Nikhil.
Nikhil: It sooo seems like we're planning a mastermind robbery or something. So much running back and forth—
Arjun: *snaps* Hey! No time for the fimly junk, got it?
Nikhil: Sorry…
Riya: *mumbles* Someone didn't have coffee this morning…
Arjun: What did you say?
