Oh, thanks for the comments. Soham is related to Purvi in two ways because Purvi is from another family. The man Varsha ran off with had a brother, which is Purvi's real dad. Soham grew up thinking Varsha was his mom and that her "husband" was his dad, but they weren't really. Now Soham knows that Archana is his mom and Purvi is his adoptive sister. Either way, they are technically brother and sister. :) And Nikhil is Arjun's friend from college...

Recap: Arjun invites Purvi to the party, Arjun picks Nikhil up from the airport, Purvi and Archana talk.
Chapter 11: New Memories, Old Faces
March 30^th, 2012: 5:00 p.m., Event Hall
I got out of the rickshaw and went inside. I didn't actually know anyone, but was glad that there weren't many people. I saw Riya and my first instinct was to walk over to her. She was wearing a medium length dark purple dress with thin straps and finished the look off with an up do. She looked amazing! Much better than what I was comfortable in anyways.
Purvi: Riya, tumne sir ko dekha?
Riya: Nahin, Purvi. I haven't seen him. Tumne badi sir se mila?
Purvi: Nahin.
Riya: What's funny is he doesn't even know that the party's for him. Pura ka pura surprise hain! *smiles*
Purvi: *smiles* Sachi? Wow.
*Teju up on the stage*
Teju: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Yeh one hundred percent mera kaam hain, isliye main kar toh rahi hoon na?
*zoned out*
Riya: Yeh hain Tejaswini. Badi Sir ki beti. She's my childhood friend and a riot, Purvi. Uski baap aur bhai se amazingly alag.
Purvi: *smiles* That's cool!
Teju: Today, I'm announcing a special day in my most favorite person's life. Baba' Baba, tum hamesha meri liye tha, and so I want the same in the future. Baba, tumhari bina, na jaane hum kahan hote. Baba, tum meri liye mera Baba aur Aai ki kaam bhi ki. Baba, tum subse best Baba ho, and mein khabhi bhi nahin tumko khona jaati. Guys, aaj meri Baba ki 45^th birthday hain--
*zoned out*
Purvi: *Aaj Baba ki bhi 45^th birthday hain...*
Teju: Aur khaas, mein uss insaan ko bolana jaati hoon yahan. So please, give a round of applause for aaj ka birthday boy, mera Baba, Mr. Manav Deshmukh.
*zoned out*
Purvi: *M--Manav... D--Deshmukh? Woh toh... Baba... Aur... Kya? Looks up at the stage, only to see him. Her Baba. Her Aai's husband. Purvi slowly started backing up in the crowd and she turned. Riya didn't notice her as she ran. She ran through the crowd with an immense heartache. She didn't remember who saw her or who she bumped into, all she knew was that she had to leave.*

All I remember is this of bright blue before she knocked into me. It got me really annoyed. She hadn't even talked to me yet and now she's pushing me around. Oh, this isn't over.
Arjun: Miss Deshmukh' *turns as Purvi bumps into him and mumbles* Woh kahan jaa rahi hain? *checks his phone* Oh crap! Forget her, Nikhil kahan hain? *Arjun starts looking. He realizes that by now Purvi would've been gone, so he can't lecture her. Riya and Tej were too busy having fun, and Sachin was nowhere to be seen.* Maybe I should check the parking lot' *walks to the entrance to see Purvi telling Nikhil to move*
Purvi: *sniffs* Excuse me, please.
Nikhil: But, can you tell me the date? I really need to know and-- wow you look sad. Anything bad happen?
Purvi: Excuse me, I need to go.
Nikhil: Are you sure you don't need help with anything? Are you positive?
Purvi: Yes, I'm positive. Now can you please let me through!
Nikhil: Do you need anything... *zoned out*
Arjun: A newfound anger boiled inside me. I could honestly care less AT THIS MOMENT where Miss Deshmukh was going, but why did Nikhil have to be so adamant on making sure that he got girls to talk to him? I swear, mein uska baap hota na, toh phir uska shaadi na jaane kitne pehle se ho gaya hota! Iss insane ki koi limit nahin hain, bus!
Arjun: *hand in tight fist* Nikhil!
Nikhil: *looks up and turns pale* A--arjun?
Purvi: *turns back, confused*
Arjun: Teju is waiting inside for you. Let's go.
Purvi: *turns away, completely ignoring Arjun*
Nikhil: Can you give me--
Arjun: *He was having way to much fun. A lot more than needed. Voice a little bit louder:* No! Teju's been waiting for half an hour now. Let's go.
Nikhil: Fine, yaar. *mumbles to self and walks with Arjun*
Purvi: *The minute whoever the hell that was left, I bolted out the door and stopped a cab.*

Nikhil: I can explain--
Arjun: Mein tumse baad mein baat karungi. Just go in.
Nikhil left with his head hung slightly low. He could tell that I was mad and why. But... why did Miss Deshmukh leave... she didn't even meet Manav uncle or talk to me before leaving... Is there something I'm missing? I stared at the door for a while, thinking maybe she forgot something, and then I walked in. I had to admit I was "curious" as to where she left to all of a sudden. She didn't return again later that evening.

March 30, 2012: 6:06 p.m., Karanjkar Chawl
Purvi had come home earlier than I thought. She had this weird smile plastered on her face. I knew something was up. Soham had come back with Seher from the market at that time too. Purvi "happily" convinced us to do the pooja. Ever since Manav left, I've been doing this pooja on his birthday for his safety. That's the only way Purvi and Soham found out about Manav. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bugged them with anything from my past. Purvi grew up doing this pooja, and Soham understands it too. Seher seems lost still, but I don't need to bug her about. I have to see how long she stays. On the other hand,
Purvi seemed disturbed, and I got really worried.
Archana: *after distributing sweets* Purvi beta, you don't seem very happy. Did something happen at the party?
Purvi: Nahin, Aai. Kya hain na, the party was too boring. My work was done, so I got permission to leave early. Plus, we had the pooja to do too, na?
Archana: Right... It's just that you seemed disturbed.
Purvi: It's nothing Aai. Tum chinta maat kar.

March 30^th, 2012: 6:30 p.m., Event Hall
Arjun: Psst. Teju.
Teju: Arjun! I'm so sorry about the whole phone mishap and--
Arjun: Yaar, it's alright. Come with me when I go take Nikhil to Manav uncle.
Teju: Kyun?
Arjun: He won't be as mad if you're there. I've been playing hide and seek with Manav uncle the whole time. Right Nikhil? Nikhil?
Teju: Looks like he's already talking to Baba...
Arjun: *whiny voice* Whaaat?

Manav: So... Nikhil. Nikhil Chopra. Right? Vahi Nikhil?
Nikhil: Uncle, it's me.
Manav: At least you look PRESENTABLE today.
Nikhil: Thank you, sir.

Arjun: Does he look okay? Is everything fine? Tej!
Teju: Yaar, calm yourself. He's fine. When Baba gets mad, we run over there, got it Mr. Khadoos?
Arjun: What?
Teju: Nothing! Nothing at all. Just... go on with what we're doing.

Manav: How's your dad doing?
Nikhil: Fine, actually. He's working with profits from the first quarter, but he should be swinging through Delhi soon.
Manav: Tell him I need to meet him when he does.
Nikhil: Yes sir.
Manav: Hey, Mr. Chopra, did you finish college?
Nikhil: *scared voice* Um, not to the same extent Arjun did but--
Manav: I have to go.
Nikhil: Sir. Sir. Sir! Excuse me! Sir! Ugggh!
Arjun: *walks up with Tej* So what happened?
Nikhil: I think I said something wrong.
Teju: Nik, did you bring up anything about college?
Nikhil: Uncle brought it up! I had to answer!
Arjun: Great. I knew Manav uncle was never going to live THAT down. Crap.
Teju: Don't worry. I'm with you guys.
Riya: *walks up* Am I invisible?
Arjun: No, sis.
Riya: So then why am I the one in the group who never knows what's going on?
Arjun: Um, well--
Riya: Oye! Mr. Khadoos, please. I'm here for you guys too. AND NOT cause you're my brother.
Arjun: What did you call me?
Riya: The truth hurts sometimes.
Arjun: Sidhe sidhe jawaab do!
Teju: Our point exactly.
Nikhil: Okay! Okay! We get it. Arjun khadoos hain, now let's go come up with something over there.
Arjun: WHAT?
Riya: And... Run away! *Tej, Nikhil, and Riya run to the bench while Arjun follows behind mad*

Okay I did say that I would give comments regularly, but I didn't and I'm sorry for that...Okay, now I would straight away go to the point.

My POV for this chapter, I liked how Teju was giving the speech about her baba..It was so sweet. But why did Purvi left when she saw Manav?

😆Arjun is jealous...*jumping up an d down*...I'm just so happy now, hope he falls in love with her soon..

So sweet that Archana realized that Purvi was disturbed by something..But why did Purvi lie when Archana asked what happen. Why didn't she say that she saw Manav?

What did happen during college, oh I so want to know..Please please please update it soon...Break the suspense please...

I'm think that Arjun would argue with Purvi about why she left the party thing, its just my thought.

heyy esha..amazing part..
but m still curious about manav and nik's part..
ohho nik flirting wid purvi...woah m waiting for that moment when arjun will develop feelings for her so after that when nik flirts wid her he would be so jealous..
I think purvi was right on her place for not telling archu about manav...archana will find it out anyways..
tej nik ria and arjun are making a plan..sounds interesting..waiting for next part..

It's a wonderful post😛

I liked Purvi's expression after seeing Manav he's her baba and her aaji's husband😉

The way she ran through the crowd without realizing she had actually not on Arjun was good. Nikhil seems to be flirting with Purvi and Arjun is pissed off with him. Surprisingly till now, Arjun has not even the slightest feeling for Purvi or he already has is yet to be known.

Manav and Nikhil conversation although turned out to be good but am curious on what actually happened in College.

At first, was wondering why Purvi is not telling about Manav to Archana but felt that its better for Archana to find out.

It's cute when Riya sort of upset said whether she is invisible. I loved the part where Tej and Riya teased Arjun as Khadoos and said that truth hurt sometimes. It's so fun y how Tej, Riya and Nikhil ran towards the bench leaving Khadoos Arjun behind😆.

What are they actually planning😲. It sounds interesting.
