Purvi is coming back from meeting Soham. She sees Ovi standing at the edge of the balcony. Purvi is shocked. She screams…

Archana comes out from the D clan house. She is looking at Purvi who has just thrown her bag down and is running at full speed.

Aditi rushes to Archana.

Aditi :- Archana…it's Ovi…She…Ovi….Ovi she is on the balcony…she is about to…

Archana rushes to the balcony…

Archana sees Ovi on the edge. For the first time literally, her heart has skipped a beat. She can't believe it…Oh God…no…please tell me this is not happening.

Archana goes near Ovi.

Archana :- OVI…Don't do it…Please don't…

Ovi :- Don't come any closer or I swear to you. I will jump.

Flashback Purvi's birthday.

Soham :- Come, Purvi let's cut the cake.

Purvi is too stunned to answer. Archana is looking at Purvi. She can't believe her eyes. All these years she had bought Purvi's cake and has been the first to wish her happy birthday and today someone comes and wishes her daughter Happy Birthday and tells her that she has been celebrating her birthday on the wrong date.

Soham :- Let me go get the knife.

Archana had enough, not anymore. She is not going to watch someone who she doesn't know come to her house and celebrate her daughter's birthday. I have lost enough in life; I am not going to lose my daughter. Not to this family anyways.

Archana :- Stop right there. You are not celebrating her birthday today.

Soham :- Why not? You feel left out, it's ok I understand. Purvi has told me how much you love her; you can cut the cake with us too. I don't mind.

Archana :- It's not her birthday.

Soham :- It's her birthday, she was born today.

Archana :- It is not and if it is she has her family to celebrate with, she doesn't need you. You are nobody to her ok. You are not her brother, she has only one brother and that is Sachin.

Purvi :- Aai…he is..

Archana stares at her and tells Purvi to keep quiet. Purvi doesn't know what to do.

Soham :- Accept the truth, you can't change it even if you want to. She belongs to my family too.

Archana :- To a kidnapping family. Are you crazy, I will never let my daughter join that family of yours? You and that family of yours only know how to steal, threaten and kidnap people. I will never let your shadow also fall on her. First you kidnap and threaten her, and now you are here to celebrate her birthday. What a great family?

Soham :- So, you and your family are good and Mahaan right. We are just low class; wait let me show you how good your family is. Where is that daughter of yours?

Soham sees Ovi standing on the door way, she has just come back from shopping. Soham goes to Ovi and drags her to Archana.

Soham :- Ask her what she did?

Archana and Manav are looking at each other.

Manav :- What are you talking about?

Purvi :- Dada, no…

Soham :- I kept quiet long enough, just for you not anymore. They think I am bad, it's ok why do they have to bring our family into it. Who are they to stop me from seeing and talking to you? I am so bad, that I can't even celebrate my sister's birthday. I grew up alone, I had no siblings, so now that I have you I want to spent time with you is that wrong.

Purvi :- No, it's ok but dada this is your family too.

Soham :- No…I can never accept them, not even for you. If they hate me, why should I like them? I just want them to know that their family is not perfect.

Soham turns to Archana.

Soham :- when I kidnapped Purvi, I didn't know she is my sister but this daughter of yours hired gundas to hurt Purvi. So, that she will leave Arjun. Tell me now, who is worse? What kind of sister wants to hurt their own sister?

Everyone is looking at Ovi. Ovi is quiet.

Manav :- Don't lie my daughter is not like that.

Purvi :- He is not lying baba.

Purvi tells what happened that day to Manav. Manav and Archana are shocked. Manav is very angry; he is holding his hand tightly.

Soham :- Purvi, I am leaving. I don't want to be where I am not wanted.

Purvi :- But dada…

Soham goes to the cake, he takes a small piece. He feeds Purvi the cake.

Soham :- Happy birthday little sister. I love you.

Purvi :- I love you too, dada. Thank you for everything. I don't know what to say.

Soham :- It's ok, enjoy your birthday with your family. I will go. Can I see you later? Will you come to the hotel and see father and grandpa? I know you don't like them but will you come. For me?

Purvi is quiet. She wants to say no but she can't see Soham hurt. He brought me all this, anyways I have to go to be close to him. I have to tell him the truth soon and get him out of my family.

Purvi :- Ok…

Soham smiles. Thank you.

Archana is staring at Purvi. Before she can say anything, Manav goes to Ovi.

Manav :- Did you try and hurt your sister?

Ovi :- She is not my sister. She is adopted by that lady and I don't care…

Manav slaps Ovi really hard. Everyone is shocked.

Archana :- Manav…

Manav :- Can you believe her? She tried and hurt Purvi.

Ovi :- She hurt me too. She took Arjun from me.

Manav grabs hold of Ovi.

Manav :- ENOUGH. Arjun doesn't love you, he loves Purvi. She didn't take him from you, he went to her. When are you going to understand this? I have tried to understand this madness of yours for months but not anymore. YOU WILL FORGET ARJUN…UNDERSTAND. He is not yours. Come to terms with it. You will never be happy with him because he can never love you.

Ovi :- That's a lie. He loves me only. This Purvi has corrupted his mind.

Arjun :- Enough Ovi. Uncle is right, try and understand. When I told you in Canada I will marry you, I didn't know what love was. The only reason I said yes is because I wanted dad, uncle and you to be happy but I have never loved you. Tell me, Ovi have I ever said that I love you.

Ovi is quiet.

Arjun :- No, right. That is because I have never loved you, and now…now, I can never love you Ovi. My heart only belongs to Purvi. I am very sorry Ovi, but uncle is right. I can never ever make you happy because I don't love you. I love Purvi.

Ovi is crying, she is looking at Purvi.

Ovi :- No…you are all lying.

She runs to her room, Tej follows her to her room.

Arjun :- I am sorry, uncle. Maybe if I told Ovi earlier. She…

Manav :- It's ok beta. I will talk to her later.

Arjun :- Ok, uncle. I better leave. I don't think she would want to see me here. I will come later.

Manav :- Ok.

Arjun goes to Purvi. He sees everyone watching.

Arjun :- I will call you.

Purvi :- Ok.

Arjun hugs Purvi. He whispers in her ears.

Arjun :- Take care, I love you and Happy Birthday.

Purvi smiles.

Arjun leaves.

Manav :- You should have told me what Ovi did?

Purvi :- I know baba, I am sorry. I thought I could make her understand. I didn't want you to feel disappointed.

Manav :- Well, I am with both of you but you did what you thought was right and she, I don't know what to say.

Manav goes to his room.

Sachin :- I am going out. I think I need a drink.

Archana stares at him.

Sachin :- I mean, I need fresh air.

Sachin leaves.

Archana is about to leave to see Manav.

Purvi holds Archana's hand.

Purvi :- Can we talk about this?

Archana is quiet.

Purvi is hugging Archana and crying.

Archana :- I don't like your family. I don't like them coming to see you. I can't see you talking to them. It hurts a lot when they seem to know more about you then I do.

Archana is looking at the cake.

Archana :- I know they have a right to be a part of your life but I can't see it. It hurts too much. When they talk about your parents and when I saw that picture of your mother it felt like a knife had when through my heart. I can't share you and I don't know what to do about it. So, I rather not talk about it because if you keep asking me to talk I will ask you to stop talking and seeing your family. I will tell you to forget them, I know it is not right but that's what I want. So, don't ask me to talk anymore.

Archana goes to her room. Purvi is crying.

An hour later…Purvi is in the balcony. Tej brings Purvi kheer.

Purvi :- What is this?

Tej :- It might be the wrong time, wrong place and wrong moment but it is your birthday and I think we should celebrate it. So, open your mouth.

Tej feeds Purvi the kheer she made.

Tej :- So, how does it taste?

Purvi :- Perfect. Thank you.

Tej :- He is not that bad you know. He come to wish you and worked hard to buy you that gift. He does love you. Minus, the kidnapping part he is ok for a brother.

Purvi is looking at Tej.

Tej :- What?

Purvi :- He is your brother too.

Tej :- Sister, I love you and all, and I totally understand that since he is your brother so tactically in some twisted way he is my brother also but I am sorry I can't accept him. Not yet.

Tej is about to leave.

Purvi :- He is your brother more than mine.

Tej :- Ok, now stop it.

Purvi :- I don't share any blood relationship with him you do.

Tej :- What are you talking about?

Purvi :- He is Soham…your Soham dada…aai and baba's Soham.
