I wish they would unite everyone at this point and come up with new story lines...this is just taking too long with the divorce, the truth etc etc etc...

I've said this before and now I'm saying it again. Purvi needs to BACK OFF!! Doesn't she get that Ovi will always be Manav's priority? Yes, he said that he would be there for u, but Ovi is still his priority. The fact is that ur not his real daughter and even tho u didn't intentionally bring sadness into Ovi's life, she is still miserable cuz of u. Whether u like it or not, ur happiness is causing their misery and it is Manav's priority to get Ovi out of this misery. If Manav wants to wholeheartedly accept u and forgive u for unintentionally bringing misery into Ovi's life, he will do so on his own time. But honey ur just aggravating him by coming in front of him all the time and asking for unrealistic things. Be happy with ur aai, aaji, Damodar, loving fiancee, and father-in-law.

I agree that this would be the obvious and very easy solution. It is also true that Archana feels she is not wanted there because her daughters hate her, and that is one of the reasons she does not want to go back to Manav, but is the incredibly foolish promise she gave to Sachin not the key factor?

She is always talking of her majboori, and this is what she meant and means by that. I remember the scene she made at Punni's saakarpuda, after meeting Sachin in the garden, when Manav asked her to go back with him to Canada; I could not believe my eyes or my ears, the way she put up a gold digger act for Manav's benefit. I felt like shaking some sense into her then.

This said, here is a husband who, for 18 long years, did not think of checking up to see how his wife of many years was doing all by herself, and even if she was alive or not. I have felt strongly about her letting him down when he needed her the most, in the chawl demolition affair, and then there was the Soham tragedy, for which, whatever others might have done in the past, she was largely responsible when it actually happened.

But none of this can absolve Manav from his responsibility to provide for his legally wedded wife. He failed spectacularly to do any such thing. What can one say about such extreme irresponsibility?

There has been a lot of talk of how she did not contact him to check up about her daughters. How could she have done that when she had no idea where he and they were in Canada? She is a lower middle class woman with very limited resources, and contrary to what some have suggested - that Purvi, with her technical capabilities, could have tracked Manav down for Archana - Purvi has been around as an adult only for the last 4-5 years. For him, on the other hand, it would have been child's play to contact her or check up on her. He does not do it because he does not want to do so.

Anyhow, there is no salvation for those who are so blind that they will not see, and so deaf that they will not hear. On second thoughts, I feel that Archana simply cannot afford to let go of her core belief - that Manav loves her no matter how he had behaved and behaves now, and that theirs is a pavitra rishta that is of the soul and cannot be broken by a divorce. She needs this belief; it is her lifeline. If she had to face the truth about Manav and their relationship, she would crumble internally and collapse. So for her to cling to it is a self defence mechanism against a dark night of the soul.

Today he knows very very well that this is the reason why Archana is not coming back... she may be talking about money or alimony but for sure he knows the real reason for Archana not coming back and that is the hate that is there for her in his home ...But he still is not the least bit interested in correcting what he did wrong ...

I am pretty sure that Archana told Purvi about the forged signatures on the divorce papers because i remember Purvi taunting Sachin about "forged signatures" so my guess is that the affidavit is to ask the courts to verify the authenticity of the signatures. This way she doesn't break her promise to Archana not to reveal this information because the courts will do it, and the kasam or whatever it' called on Purvi's life doesn't apply.

No, Ash. They would probably give their Savita aaji and their Sachin dada a vote of thanks, for dirtying their hand to get the needful done. How will learning about the forgery mitigate their hatred for Archana, which is rooted in their sense of being abandoned by her, in the slightest?

And that is how, the girls end up siding with Archana... She was the only one who didnt come in to the living room for the famliy gathering before Manav left... 😃

I dont remember if Archana told this to Purvi, but if that is what Purvi did, then it is a smart move, I think.

Dear Naava and Jyothi,

As far as I can remember, Archana did not tell this specifically to Purvi, but she did tell her and Sulochana that she had NOT signed the divorce papers. She insists on this when Sulochana drags her to Manav's hotel room. From this, it is natural for Purvi to conclude that the signature was forged.

There was no kasam given by Archana on this point. The kasam, and that was given to Sulochana, was not to reveal what Sachin has asked of her. and that she was now asking for the divorce, alimony property, etc. only because of that.

So Purvi need have no qualms about alerting the court to a possible forgery of the signature. But how would that hold when Archana herself never raised the point at the first hearing? Even if it was forged, the minute Archana authenticates it by saying that she had signed the papers, it becomes authentic, So now it IS authentic, and the forgery charge is a non-starter. Of course that is only in real life. Not in PR.

Yes Shyamala , You are absolutel yright .It was extremely wrong of Archana to give in to sachin's demands.No way can I defend her here...

She was wrong and she put sachin before Ovi , Teju and even Purvi because Purvi wanted Manav to be part of her life ...

Archana put Sachin over and above everyone else and for that I just hated her .Sachin in no way deserves that kind of loyalty and love ...In fact he should have been told off for endorsing forged documents but she just fell for his whole act of ' please give my mother her love she has waited for Manav so long ' ...nonsense , utter nonsense ...

when his brother's fiance got pregnant with a baby he took her responsibility and he hardly had any money then but he took care of her , her kid and fullfilled that responsibility and even till today is taking care of Sachin who is a grown up adult ...

Then what about the mother of his children ..Someone who is always taking responsibility of everyone around him , just left Archaan alone there to die ..She too had lost a son and he took her babies and never ever looked back ...

Brilliant Shyamala , very very well said .You have understood the situation so well..This show may be called Pavitra Rishta but for me this is the story of a very foolish and unlucky woman who was always betrayed by those she loved so much( only Purvi was the one who did not betray her and loved her back ) ..Who was trapped in this pathetic relationship with a man who was God to the world but he knowingly did wrong to his wife because deep inside he was his mother's son before being anything else ...even though he knew how wrogn his mother was to his wife ...

You are right Archana knows very well that she is nothing in Manav's life if Savita does not approves of her ..The sad truth of her life which she just does not wish to bring out ..

Manav's true love has always been his mother Savita only even the twins come after Savita .

I agree with you about the first sentence. That is quite clear.

As for @red, please do see my post to you and Jyothi above. Once Archana fails to deny the authenticity of her signature, as she did at the first court hearing, and thus implicitly confirms that she signed it, the signature automatically becomes authentic, and no accusation of forgery can stand. Of course in PR, anything can happen.

Manav and Archana would have to refile for divorce if they didn't want to stay married. Maybe they would just stay married, in contact, but no more (i don't think so though)

Ovi holds in the key to their getting back together in my opinion. Let's see what she does. I don't think Purvi will sacrifice Arjun but it could be wishful thinking on my part.
