I am glad you agree with me on several points, even if not on the town hall meeting for handing over the invitation.

Just now, I stumbled on the thread about the article "Ovi attempts suicide in Pavitra Rishta". I do not manage to cover more than a fraction of the huge number of posts in the forum, so I had not seen it earlier, but I think you had mentioned it. It says, at the very end:

We hear that the pre-wedding rituals of Arjun and Purvi will be shown in the coming episodes, and the wedding sequences will be aired in the last week of August 2012.

If this is true or at least reliable, one can hope that even if Purvi tries to bolt, and all the indications yesterday seem to point that way, we can look forward to the option (b) in my post of August 22, Dark clouds gathering, coming true, with Purvi's lemming-style attempt to get out of the marriage being blocked by the Archana-Arjun combo.

Only a few in that thread seemed to have focussed on this wedding aspect, with most of the attention going to Ovi and her suicide attempt. What do you, Jyothi and the others, think ? Has there been any more info contradicting this article?

As for the Ferrari in my post, I am afraid I have disgraced myself irretrievably in Laurie's eyes by actually saying that it would take 50 seconds for it to get from 0 to 60 mph, or 100 kph. Now I see that it was probably 5 seconds, and I shall have to hide lest Ferrari finds out and sues me for wrecking their reputation with the kind of drivers who have more in their bank balance than in their top storey!!

Now for the green tea. There is a hidden message here that has been missed out by all the others, and to which I can claim the first finder prize. This is that Balaji Telefims has landed a promotion deal with the green tea producers and marketers. So you see its virtues being touted religiously in the Balaji serials - to Ayesha in BALH, and to Ovi in PR, and I am sure to assorted other characters in the others.

What I want to know is why the ones who need the soothing properties of green tea the most are not being given free samples, and by that I naturally mean us, who have to jhelofy PR five times a week, week after week!😉

I rather was Ok with Archana giving the invite to the whole family enmasse. Like she said, she wanted to get it done, even when she knows no one is going to come. The look on Ovi's face, the anticipation was worth watching, I thought. I have no sympathy left in me for that girl. After what she did yesterday with Archana, she deserves what she got from Archana. I dont think it would have mattered if Archana told her in private or before her famly, it would have the same impact in her. I rather, would have preferred Archana also mention Ovi's visit too before the entire family so they know what she has been upto. But, Alas, not so.. But, yes, I did like the way Archana talked to her.

I liked that. Instead of just apologizing that she could not give Ovi what she wanted, she told her straight that she saw through her attempt. I so wish Manav would have heard that. The interaction with Archana alone has finally helped Ovi to start to even think about what everyone has been saying. This was long time coming. And, I dont have any sympathy for her. Sorry to say that, but that is so.

And then, comes the alleged suicide attempt.. I was initially taken aback about all this talk of green tea, and where it was leading to.. Like Shyamala said, she knew Teju will be there looking for her,and this is all a ploy to gain the sympathy of everyone and put the blame on Archana. It was not a random act of panic or high emotion. It was an deliberate attempt on the part of this girl. I know this sounds harsh, but that is the way I see it.

Now, coming to the precap, it was very obvious, that Purvi is tottering on the edge of a getaway.. She is there after the conv, with her Aai, and am almost sure, she is going to ask Arjun to atleast postpone the wedding for a while. Now, when she comes to know of Ovi, god help the poor BOY !! I have said this before and will say it again.. Arjun is his own blissful world of wedding where he still thinks, for Purvi, he is the center of the world, as she is for him. If it is just a postponement, it will be ok, but if is a cancellation after they get to know the OVI-DEED, that will be the biggest shock for him. And, am not sure, how he will even react...

In all this mess, my heart goes out to Arjun, for he has not foreseen this at all !!

so, we are back to where we were a few months ago.. at a stalemate for the wedding, for sure...

How is the mild green tea going to calm us down? Its potency is nowhere enough for the stress that we bear day in and out with this brainless serial that we watch ... It has become an addiction that we can neither bear nor walk away from easily...😊
what we need is strong cups of Starbucks of coffee (my preference, Sumatra Extra BOLD), that has enough caffeine kick to keep us on our toes to take this all in. I rely on this extremely to get me through this 😃...

There has been no other article out yet.. But, see it is still friday.. They always hit us on saturday morning (our time here), when we are all set to enjoy the weekend and then comes the dhamaaka !!! Has been the trend for the past couple of weeks, atleast...

I actually didnt give too much credence to this article, because there have been so many, and each contradicting in their tracks, I mean, they were all in different directions. Even though this article favors our direction, I didnt give too much credibility to it. But, they caught me by surprise, yesterday. As I was watching the episode, I was like, "OMG, it is coming true !!".. There is no guarantee that all of it will come true. So, I think we better be cautious before we sit back and relax. It also says Ovi will do a lot more before the wedding. If that is true, we are not over the hurdles yet. Lot more craziness to deal with and throw us all into frenzy..😊..
As per them, the wedding is planned for last week of August, which is just a week away. Isnt the court date, and divorce date at the same time too..They did not mention about those at all. If the wedding is over so quickly, then what is after that for Arjun and Purvi? Just bystanders while everything else unfolds.. What else is left for Ovi if the wedding gets done in a week. I am concerned that she might do something on the wedding day itself. What is this about a party they all have where Ovi does not attend. That is a little unbelievable that everyone else from the D-family will attend a Arjun-Purvi pre-wedding function. Kind of bizzaare..
So, in a nutshell, we cannot really rely on this article either. They might throw another wrench in our way, when we least expect it. Of course, we all hope fervently that OPTION B is the way it is going to go. But, we have to wait and see what happens today which might give us some indication of where they might go..

Jyothi...I fear I have turned into a cynic as well where I used to be an optimist! I think it is just because the CVs have messed around so much in the past few months...in ways that are impractical and illogical...so although I fervently hope Shyamala's Option B is what we get...at the same time I am not holding my breath.

Soo... it might be a VERY small thing... but... at least Arjun won't take NO for an answer from Purvi. He strong arms her with the dance and shopping. I mean... they are minor in the big picture of things... but at least AK still has his way... and the determination to get his way is still there.

I hope I'm not the only one paddling in this boat with my lifesaver jacket on 😉 😳.

Dil Kyon Yeh Meraa Shor Kare is back !!!

It has been so long since we heard it, brought a smile to my face instantly 😊.. Loved the Arjun-Purvi dance.. was shorter than the Pune dance, but was very nice !! ...Loved it !! was not even for a minute, I think..but gave me a reassurance, that the magic still alive and kicking !! What a relief !!😃
The past few episodes have been making me nervous, wasn't sure if we ever will see anything like this again and it is all fluff from now on...we may not see this again for a few weeks, with all the other drama going on, but still...was nice today...

Ok, getting back from my cloud safari...

What game is this Purvi playing with us now?? 😊.. We were prepared for everything else except what she said today.. Totally confusing us poor mortals... There was no separation talk, deserting, Ovi, nothing.. moreover she assures him that his mere presence with her makes her very happy and cannot think she can express to him enough how much his being in her life means to her. Just that she was worried about her Aai. We can take that, cant we... Arjun does his usual mantra.."Everything is gonna be OK"...:).. Poor guy, must be rueing inside..we are on a romantic dinner and all this girl talks about is her Aai :)... He is surprised that Purvi can remember that person from the Pune conference. hmmm...shouldnt it be the other way...

We have a small shopping trip, where he is forcing Purvi to buy something for the choodi rasm..dont know what that is..is it like mehendi ceremony?..For all his talk, his shopping skills seem to be limited to picking from what the mannequins wear.. remember, that is how he picked the blue saree too...But, a nice one too, this time..

Ms. Ovi after this little episode seems to be accepting the fact that she has lost Arjun for good.. Crossing my fingers, about this though..not sure if that is right.. Ms. Punni after getting to know this, is a little freaked out that her ploy hasnt worked. Her little brain is in serious business now, trying to come up with something else. Even though Ovi asked her to leave her alone, I am sure Punni tai will talk her into something else soon.
What is wrong with Purvi? she wants to invite the Punni family again to her house.. ufff... Punni will have something again up her sleeve this time...got to see what she comes up with.

I loved the way Manav was with Archana today...👏.. It was very foolish of her to keep trying to talk him into coming to atleast one of the ceremonies for Purvi. Come on, give the guy a break...Isnt that a little tactless of her to keep insisting on it. She has seen Ovi's state, so why does she keep at it still? It seems very insensitive of her.
I liked every word that Manav said. He was crystal clear on why he doesnt want to do it and put Archana in her place about it. He is right. He is and will always be Ovi's father first, as he should be. He acted rightly as the father that he should be and is. Even when he came to know about what Ovi did, he didnt admonish her, just lovingly comforted her. It is the not time to lecture her, just be there to support Ovi. I am glad he recognized to Archana, about Ovi's paagalpan. He has recognized that in his daughter. I just hope that he does something about it now at least. He is probably thinking that once the divorce is over, they will all go back to Canada which will be soon.But, I hope he gets her some treatment for her and not just molly cuddle her like he does now.

The divorce date, is it accelerated? How come it is so soon? They have mixed up all the time frames, and am totally confused on the sequence now..Vishnu case, wedding, divorce...

The divorce drama unfolds next week... I am sure it will be stopped somehow.. Since we got a glimpse of Sachin on thursday, hopefully he will get to say some lines, atleast next week. If he doesnt do it even now, what is his role anyway? Just a mime artist? no words, but glaring disapprovingly at people...

OK, truthfully, I dont know if Arjun-Purvi are going towards a marriage or something else is gonna happen. They are truly playing with us, I tell you.. !!! Atleast, we dont have a stressful weekend ahead.. knock Wood... hopefully not another article again to drive us up the walls...Crossing my fingers tight..., real tight...😊
