Honestly, I have been watching the show since the inception... and even tho I loved ArMan, I always thought Manav was too much of a mother's boy and he more times than not could not stand up to his mother for Archu.
Jai can shed more light cause I lost interest after the 4 year leap... watched it half heartedly after. Then came back FULLY and in full force with ArVi. Thats why I like Arjun... he doesn't allow anyone to rule him (at least thats what he used to be) and I like that in husband material.
btw. On a lighter note... when the 3 of u (Jyothi, Jai and Janhvi) liked my post - at the bottom, it looks so cool together. lol.

You make us sound like we are hard to please, Ash !!! 😃 Just noticed, it is all the J's...PJ 😛

On a lighter note too,
the Arjun Kirloskar, we got back is not our "real Arjun K" anymore...We got robbed !! We just got a suited booted naya Arjun as Arjun Kirloskar ! I PROTEST !!
He has not gone to work since the first day, goes around temples with Purvi, has dinners at CC homes, eats road side food that can cause havoc with the dude's digestion, and keeps thanking her for this new life. It is as though, he led a life of deprivation before...Ms. Purvi has him tied to her little finger very well looks like.. He better wake up fast or she is gonna dump him real hard and it might be too late to shake off the limpet on his arm...
Let Laurie's lion roar again !! He is just a bheegi billi now...😊

hahaha good one Ash...three J's 😆...Yes Ash/Jyothi ,the props with Arman is they are same whereas Arvi are different meaning personalities are different which is good as they wont make the same kind of mistakes..In case of Arman ,if you remember Ash on 14th sept 2009 epi (those golden days of PR) where Archu confesses her love to Manav and stats that "they both are same"...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipOvPuVnWn4 (video explains better 😆)..

Archu stating "we both are similar" is so true..And thats their disadvantage coz they both are emotional fools and make the same mistake and since 2 these two are the same ,they cant correct each other too...They lack guts to come out with the truth coz they feel others will get hurt..They put their life, relationship over others coz for them others happiness is more important than their own life. They are ready to sacrifice anything for their closed ones without given a thought and irony is these same qualities attracted them towards each other in form of love of the purest form and these same qualities have have separated them too..They are too good of human beings to think about themselves and that is their down fall. They love each other to the core and are connected by their souls but they cannot unite with the fear of hurting their closed ones. This is their life history infortunately and the day they think about themselves, thats the day they will think about their relationship and their life..All I can hope is one day it happens for the good human beings theey are.😊

Congratulations Jyothi and Shyamala for becoming Goldies!!! 👏👏👏
**sighs** from the description it sounds like the sacrificial route is a given. Based on bits and pieces of the update I thought Archana successfully made sound arguments to explain to Purvi that the divorce is not her fault. Then I read that she goes on to utterly negate this and ends up doing worse damage by telling Purvi that she misses her kids and husbands...reconciliation is impossible now after she took a stance to support ARVI, and cries bitterly. Well, I guess thats that.
I thought Vishnu was going to have something to do with the separation of Arjun and Purvi too. But I have to admit, even though I definitely prefer him clean-shaven, and do admire his acting skills, in my mind, I thought we would be getting into even more dangerous and murky waters by going there. If a misunderstanding were to be created between Arjun and Purvi and exploited by Ovi and Punni because of Purvi's growing sympathy and irrational tendency to defend Vishnu, the damage would be far far greater. I just could not see how, unless Purvi somehow comes to know Soham is Archana's own son, and therefore her brother, Arjun could ever forgive such a betrayal.
Being Mahaanta for her Aai's divorce will definitely cause a misunderstanding and Arjun will of course be upset that despite all that he has been through for her, Purvi is willing to give him up to save a marriage that was on the rocks from the beginning anyhow---because of circumstances that truly have nothing to do with him. The fact remains that Manav's unhappiness over their marriage is just another factor to add to an already pretty long list...
I also remember him saying as much during the rain scene where Purvi meets him to tell him that Ovi slapped her at the twins' birthday party and Punni thai had outed their relationship in front of everyone. I think (correct me if I am wrong) that he said something to the effect of "thats it?? Mujhe aisa chodsakthi hai...Buss...itna pyaar kiya mujhse???" Like you can leave me just like that...thats how much love you really had for me? He is clearly not the Mahaanta types...and like you said, has no idea that the roof is about to cave in.
Well we shall have to see how it plays out. At least this can be salvaged. Even though it is utter stupidity and foolishness on Purvi's part...we know that Archana will not allow her to sacrifice her and Arjun's relationship on account of her divorce...and even if she did...it is no guarantee that Arjun will automatically fall into Ovi's lap. Suicide attempt or no...he would definitely rather be single than be saddled with her for the rest of his life...any attempt at forcing her on him will probably drive him to suicide himself. So I really dont think we have to worry on this point.
What follows is predictable. Purvi will stop the wedding and the separation track of ARVI will begin. Then someone will come to know Purvi's real motive in calling off her wedding...for the sake of her parents...eventually Arjun will find out as well and all will be forgiven. They will then end up on the mandap finishing their saat pheras after all.

Archana,
Thanks..
Despite saying all that I did in my post, for some reason, I still think there is no separation. Yes, Purvi will try to atleast postpone the wedding till the divorce is settled, but will they separate is the question. The real deal breaker is what she does when she comes to know of this suicide attempt. As long as she doesnt push him towards Ovi, they will be fine, I think. For now, I am discounting vishnu from the picture. Cant handle too many angles now...

so, for now, I am shooting for option B... Remember, Shyamala's option B 😊... I am going to be the steadfast optimist in this.. (read a foolish one 😉)

Yes Jyothi...I want our Sher back too...not a big ol tabby cat! I want to see some strength, power, and no-nonsense..which he is more than capable of...and our AK better get his strong, agressive, dominating self back...he, more than anyone, is going to need it.Call me old-fashioned or whatever...but, at least to me, a woman wants a strong powerful confident man...not a wimp. I know this is horrible but I just dont know what to do with an overly sensitive man. A lovesick guy who goes around trying to quote sonnets and satisfy his lady love's every whim is not what Purvi needs. She needs a loving, yet very firm hand to keep her in line...that much is obvious. **sighs** as you can see...God help the Romeo who ever tries to mistake me for Juliet!! I am not the "leaning out of the window...batting lashes and whispering sweet nothings" sort...I would probably rather throw cold water on him instead!!!

Dear Ash,

Just go to my response to Janhvi above, where I have said:

As for Vishnu, I have an idea that even after he learns the whole truth, he will still stand by Varsha. She has been the one great, uncomplicated and loving reality in his life, for all of 20 years. That is hard to beat. Manav and Archana and the rest would, even after he knows they are his family, be merely theoretical constructs.

So you see, not all of us think that Vishnu will bolt towards Archana, shouting Mayee! when he eventually finds out the truth. Does that make you feel better?

Shyamala

Hmmm...

Forgive me for pointing this out... and I may be climing up the wrong ladder, but... just a thought.
I know many ppl think that Vishnu does feel this immensely strong pull to Archu and he will be her defender and such in the forthcoming episodes (with the CVs record this will VERY likely happen). However, The same amount of time Purvi spent with Archu (not her bilogical mother) is almost the same amt. of time Vishnu spent with Varsha (not his bio mother either). So... all Im saying is that, if Purvi can have this special bond with Archu then why not Vishnu with Varsha. One mother being good and the other being bad does not change the fact they are looked at as mothers by the ones they raised.
So why should we expect Vishnu to turn on Varsha just like that?
Dont know where that thought came from or if it should even be in this thread.
p.s. If anyone ever saw the movie Face on a Milk Cartoon, its almost like what happened to Vishnu.

Jyothi, not a Romeo, she has her Petruchio signed and delivered!! Right, Arch?? Me too hate wimps, dumping cold water would not be enough, puking would be better.

Jyothi, as for Manav, he is a mama's boy alright. The wise say a mama's boy maketh a gentleman husband, with Manav, I would have preferred less of a gentleman, less of a boy, more of a man that would have kept their marriage together!
