Laurie, all this is far too risky. The only comfort is that the CVs are nowhere near as creative and convoluted (that is a compliment!) as you are, and they are not going to tangle themselves up in this ball of wool!

As for your last sentence, my poor dear Laurie, do you really believe that the CVs and Ekta worry about our section of the 'audience'? TV spot ad rates depend on the TRPs, and the TRPs depend on the viewing preferences of just 8000 set top box owners scattered across the Indian metros. Where do we figure in all this? And how do we know that the bulk of the consumers of PR would not like to wallow in the misery of Arjun and Purvi separated and hitched to two other people? It just might be their cup of tea, you know!

Arjun should then respect her choice, and the only thing he has to do is to vote with his feet, and fast, before Ms.Ovi (just in case limpet is now non-PC) latches on to him.

Our boy has taken enough from the Karanjkar-Deshmukh women, and it is high time he calls a halt to this endless process of dancing to their whims and fancies. If not, even if he does get married to Purvi, his fate will be worse than that of the proverbial doormat.

I only wish someone could set some tests for Purvi to pass for the privilege of marrying Arjun.Why should it be so one sided? As of now, the feeling seems to be that it is enough for her to merely exist , refrain from dressing him down as of old, and make him eat pani puri and pao bhaji.

They put a stop their marriage plans. Archana would be upset (maybe they tell her or not - if they don't it will add to the credibility of the situation). Maybe DK is in on the plan.

They secretly get married to make sure no one can come between them 😈 (maybe or not) and because Arjun doesn't bet on unicorns like Purvi does 🤣. Sticky - yes! Impossible - No!

Punni exposes Ovi's demands to defame her (putting phase two of her plan into action) so everyone is aware of Ovi's selfish ways. Punni gets her just desserts from Ovi for trying to come between Ovi/Arjun.

ARVI acts then completing the 'sacrifice'. 😭 Manav & family see what ARVI is doing just to make Ovi and family happy but all know that Arjun loves only Purvi. Arjun keeps looking at Purvi longingly whenever she's around and everyone sees or tells Ovi 'Purvi used to do this' or 'Purvi used to do that' and this will drive her nuts!

Ovi will try to get married right away. Manav or Savita will stop the wedding because they won't let her live a life of unhappiness! (Of course ARVI would have a back up plan to get out of a sticky situation just in case it actually comes to the marriage) 🤓

Soham will come to take revenge on Arjun and will try to shoot him again with his butter gun 🤢 - this time Purvi is the one who gets hurt (how's about that for our girl's demonstration of love and devotion to her man?)

The doctor asks who are the family members in hospital and Arjun says he's her husband. Everyone is shocked. 😲

Soham gets arrested again - non bailable offense because this time Archana saw him! 🤣 That was the one witness missing from the first case.

Arjun reveals the plan to everyone. Ovi FINALLY realizes how much Purvi loves Arjun by sacrificing her life to save his and how much they both care for the family to do all this to bring them together. 👏

She forgives Arjun for what he did to her and apologizes to both of them. Manav & Archana go for divorce and they both say, 'Nahi' complete with the hand across the forehead 🤣

Sachin gives dirty looks while Tej is eating vada pav outside. 🤣

Then we move on to getting Soham out of jail and bringing him back into the fold but he gets another extension because he's lost his id card and needs to find out who he really is! 🤣

I do not have it, as you would remember from our previous jousts, so I shall not argue against practically everything you have said, which is perfectly possible. Only about a little.

@red. That is because you never exercise the same critical faculties when it comes to Purvi. That is what I meant by an American MIL. You are now sure that Arjun deserves Purvi because of his love for her and all he has done to prove it. Do you give any thought to whether she deserves him?

But I shall be pointing fingers at her if she concludes that however wily or whimsical the girl in question is, she, Purvi, should not let go of this opportunity to get her aai 'all that she deserves" even if, in the process, she has to jettison every promise she has made to the man she claims to love, and actually proceeds to try and make him the bali ka bakra for her purpose, taking advantage of his being blindly in love with her. If she does NOT do any of this, I shall stand up and give her a Bronx cheer.

If Archana cannot bring home to Purvi the folly of her tyaag syndrome, how on earth can Arjun be expected to be able to do so? Anything he says to dissuade Purvi would be immediately suspect of being due to rank selfishness.

This apart, I hope that Arjun,not being entirely brainless, is not going to follow Purvi like a besotted sheep and do what she wants of him (though his behaviour towards her so far might have justifiably given risen to serious doubts on this score. I never saw such a perfect joru k ghulam). If, however, he lets me down big time on this, I shall wash my hands of him without a second thought. I do not like besotted wimps.

I am not in tacit agreement with Purvi at all about wanting to give up Arjun for her mother if that is indeed the way she is headed. I am not sure why you insist on believing I am against Arjun just because I have taken him to task for his past mistakes, the guy is not God, he is not perfect and he has made mistakes. But that said, he loves Purvi and rightly deserves her, he does not need to pass any test (even Archana's nonsensical one) to prove his love.

While I don't endorse Purvi's sacrificial tendencies in any way, I can see where she would be coming from, having doubts, self-doubts especially when weighed down by a heavy debt of gratitude (adoption) is not unnatural, that too for a mother who has lived 18 years on the hopes of reuniting with her real family. Deluded, yes, to have such hopes in the face of blatant disregard and disrespect towards her mother by her real family but natural of Purvi to question herself if her happiness should be at the expense of her mother's unhappiness, the shattering of all her mother's hopes.

I do wish somebody would help Purvi rid her mind of such thoughts, her confusion about her guilt. Archana cannot do it so the only other person Purvi is close to and loves is Arjun. So it is a natural corollary that he rises to the occasion not as her savior or a test taker but as her friend and lover to help her make the distinction that her sacrifice will not necessarily guarantee her mother's happiness . My hope is for Arjun to desist and not follow her (senseless) lead in vowing to give her up for the sake of her love and for her kasams. That is a far cry from a test.

As an aside, we berated Purvi for not being sensible enough to be cognizant of Manav's angst and disinterest in Arjun's and her betrothal yet we are ready to point fingers at her when she is aware that her mother's hopes of 18 years are to be shattered because of the whims of a wily girl.
