I love her simple look-just the sari wasn't pleasing to the eye. But then I guess another reason is we don't want her to look too hot for kidnapper Vishnu either (who should actually be her Bhai but that's another discussion!)

Princessjojo, I am already hyper-ventilating, dreading my poor ladli's fate at her kidnapper bhai's hands! Heaven forbid, Varsha fancy her for her bahu!!!

I've rarely ever liked Archanas get-up since the leap. Her make-up is often too gawdy, the foundation too white for her and her outfits are no good especially with the puffy sleeves she is often made to wear. To be honest, to me it looks like the bone of contention for the majority of posters here is that Ankita came away with more visual attention than Asha...

I don't see anything wrong with her having bangs. She's not going to look convincing as a middle aged woman no matter what hairstyle or clothes she wears, so might as well let her dress to her liking. In case none of yall noticed, the Hindi television industry doesn't care much for being convincing, so why should she make herself look older or let the attention yield to someone else, despite her being the lead?

Another thing, yall act like middle-aged women don't like to dress up. Come on, none of them want to purposefully look older, all of them will try to look young and beautiful, so if anything Archana is staying very much in character. ;) Old does not equal boring or frumpy.

Foxxycleopatra, not at all, I for one was not comparing Ankita to Asha. Ankita can look drop dead gorgeous, no doubt about that. The bangs were a little unseemly on Archana today (notice I said Archana not Ankita). True what you say, no middle aged woman wants to look older but in real life if a woman of 50 dressed like a 20 year old, tongues would wag however pretty the woman looked. Again, we are not referring to Ankita the actress but Archana the character. There were comments that the fringe would have looked better on Ovi or Tej so the comparison was not between Asha and Ankita. The comment about Purvi being dressed simply was separate from the bang bit. :)

@FoxxycleopatraI don't think we're out to for a "Who Did It Better" between Asha and Ankita.

I for one enjoyed her looks..Hell even in a simple nighty she looks drop dead gorgeous..so no props for me 😃..So far in PR in all functions Archu has always dressed with lot of flavors. I enjoy those Maharashtrian style flavors. I believe age has nothing to do with dress.And this is a daily soap and especially PR - a world far from reality so cant expect logic here.Hence I guess I enjoy what I get to see,a gorgeous woman. Unfortunately no matter how hard the CV's try ,they cant show Anki as a mom of 5 grown up children..This is beyond their script and whether a simple dress or traditional or modern whatever Anki/Archu wear she is going to look gorgeous.so who cares 😊..

Well first, thank you both for writing my username correctly. Sounds silly, but people constantly write Foxy instead of Foxxy and it just about kills me every time. 😆

@soapwatcher1: I understand you were talking about Archana, but sometimes the lines start to blur, and when it comes to looks it's even harder to differentiate. I'll be straight up, the bangs aren't my very favorite look either... but if you take them and the whole outfit and put them on Sulochana for instance, it still wouldn't look that out of place. Maybe it's just a matter of personal tastes as far as what is age appropriate... IMO for a festival it's not too much.

@nalonynnej: That really is just a matter of personal taste in your case. Can't do or say much about that.
