Oh no, definitely not Soap. Forget about falling into Ovi's lap, we don't even want his gaze to fall on her even unintentionally!! Lol

I love her simple look-just the sari wasn't pleasing to the eye. But then I guess another reason is we don't want her to look too hot for kidnapper Vishnu either (who should actually be her Bhai but that's another discussion!)

To be honest, to me it looks like the bone of contention for the majority of posters here is that Ankita came away with more visual attention than Asha...

I don't see anything wrong with her having bangs. She's not going to look convincing as a middle aged woman no matter what hairstyle or clothes she wears, so might as well let her dress to her liking. In case none of yall noticed, the Hindi television industry doesn't care much for being convincing, so why should she make herself look older or let the attention yield to someone else, despite her being the lead?

Another thing, yall act like middle-aged women don't like to dress up. Come on, none of them want to purposefully look older, all of them will try to look young and beautiful, so if anything Archana is staying very much in character. ;) Old does not equal boring or frumpy.

Foxxycleopatra, not at all, I for one was not comparing Ankita to Asha. Ankita can look drop dead gorgeous, no doubt about that. The bangs were a little unseemly on Archana today (notice I said Archana not Ankita). True what you say, no middle aged woman wants to look older but in real life if a woman of 50 dressed like a 20 year old, tongues would wag however pretty the woman looked. Again, we are not referring to Ankita the actress but Archana the character. There were comments that the fringe would have looked better on Ovi or Tej so the comparison was not between Asha and Ankita. The comment about Purvi being dressed simply was separate from the bang bit. :)

As you have said, Ankita will never be able to look the part of a 50+ mom because of her appearance. If you have seen episodes after the leap, she looks beautiful and young as ever, no doubt.

The fact of the matter is that these bangs just didn't flatter Ankita, regardless of her role. I would have loved to see Ankita in a Marathi style like the ITA lavani picture I posted. These bangs and contacts threw off her natural beauty. It distracted me from the rest of her look and sari.

Of couse old women like to dress up. Just look at Savita and her daily "designer" sarees! 😆 But the contacts and bangs were too much. Ankita would've looked best in her simplicity.

I for one enjoyed her looks..Hell even in a simple nighty she looks drop dead gorgeous..so no props for me 😃..So far in PR in all functions Archu has always dressed with lot of flavors. I enjoy those Maharashtrian style flavors. I believe age has nothing to do with dress.And this is a daily soap and especially PR - a world far from reality so cant expect logic here.Hence I guess I enjoy what I get to see,a gorgeous woman. Unfortunately no matter how hard the CV's try ,they cant show Anki as a mom of 5 grown up children..This is beyond their script and whether a simple dress or traditional or modern whatever Anki/Archu wear she is going to look gorgeous.so who cares 😊..

Regarding logic of a 50 year old looking like 20 year old (CV's or anyone cant do anything about it ,if Anki/Archu is going to look so younger like Ritesh mentioned) with the dress setup,well where there is no logic in storylines themselves how can one expect a logic of dress sense here.This is PR land and I guess people trying to analyze logic here need to see that this is PR land - Land of unreality ...😆...

So as for me , who cares as long as I am able to see Archu in some amazing dress wear looking dead gorgeous. ..😉

Well first, thank you both for writing my username correctly. Sounds silly, but people constantly write Foxy instead of Foxxy and it just about kills me every time. 😆

@soapwatcher1: I understand you were talking about Archana, but sometimes the lines start to blur, and when it comes to looks it's even harder to differentiate. I'll be straight up, the bangs aren't my very favorite look either... but if you take them and the whole outfit and put them on Sulochana for instance, it still wouldn't look that out of place. Maybe it's just a matter of personal tastes as far as what is age appropriate... IMO for a festival it's not too much.

@nalonynnej: That really is just a matter of personal taste in your case. Can't do or say much about that.
