Archana-Purvi: An incomplete circle

Over the past couple of weeks, there has been major drama in ARVI's lives with the open proclaimation of Arjun's love for Purvi as we all know. But, for me, something is still missing. Arjun has declared to one and all about his love and his commitment to Purvi. It was absolutely marvellous...Yes, we have also seen Purvi's commitment to him in that beautiful rain scene.

My one greivance is, that so far, there is no direct conversation between Archana and Purvi about Purvi's feelings for Arjun. Even Sulochana was wise enough to ask Purvi if she loved Arjun and Purvi mustered enough courage to admit to her. How come Archana hasnt asked her about it yet even once? For the kind of bond between them, i would expect this conversation/confrontation to happen immediately after Arjun's declaration. After all this, how come Archana hasnt reflected back on Purvi's anguish after the engagement, her depression later on. She herself had tried to question Purvi a few times back then. Why is it that she is not thinking about it now? Forget what Arjun's feelings are. Granted, Archana has a right to question his feelings (although done in an unacceptable way) given the circumstances. But, why is she not even asking Purvi about what she feels? I dont think that it is the case that Archana doesnt care about Purvi. so, why this reluctance? Is it because she is afraid to listen to what Purvi has to say? Is it because then, she will have to choose between the two daughters? Doesnt Purvi deserve this from her mother? I am still taken aback by Archana's behavior in this regard.

I don't think Purvi with all her dedication to Aai, will ever speak up about her feelings to Archana by herself. Quite a few times, it happens in real life too. It falls on the parent to have a direct confrontation. Children tend to avoid these situations unless needed.

All this still niggles my mind. For me, this is still an incomplete circle, given the bond between Archana and Purvi..

You are so true, totally agree with your post.

I also feel the same that Archana should ask Purvi before taking any major decision. Everybody has the right for clarification. When Archana came to know about their relationship, she has done some emotional yelling and asked Purvi about the matter. Any girl would be scared by seeing her mother doing this, Purvi's case was the same - she got scared, afraid & nervous..

I do not know on what basis Archana has build the conception that Purvi's feelings for Arjun is not love (or vice versa). She even knows that arjun is not the right person. But she never asked Purvi about the initial days stories - like how the hate - hate relation with boss turned into love - love feelings for the same man..so surprised😲..when any mother cud feel the unspoken pain of her kid's life, Archana has not felt the same for Purvi..she even did not find the similarity when Purvi has told about some imaginary friend's love story.

On the other hand, Ovi has shared her feelings with Manav, teju & Savita. But in Purvi's case, Archana has made some prior assumption on the basis of partial situation. She hardly knows Arjun during Canada days and I am surprised that before Archana has enough faith on DK & Ashna's upbringing but the same faith has changed very fast.

All I could say is that Archana proved Blood is always thicker than water.

The only thing she is concerned about these days is what will she tell Ovi and Manav. She has completely disregarded Purvi.

I am really disappointed in Archana...she has really let down all adopted children..

Here, she goes off again today at Purvi...What's with Archana's tone and sharp looks at Purvi? And Purvi, grow a spine, for god's sake..!!! Dont cower when your aai talks to you..say what you want with confidence...Come on, girl...she is really annoying me now..

Yes Jyoti ( can i call you??)..i hold the same opinion. At last Purvi told her mom that she is not right. but immediately after that when archana told her that arjun will leave withing four days, she never protested..she never has shown her firmness & believe in arjun..i was expecting something more from Purvi..she cud tell her mom that..yes off course Arjun can do it..but really disappointing

when that guy has taken this huge step for Purvi's love, he has gone against the world, Purvi shud show some support from her end..otherwise she is insulting her love..Ye to Payar ki Tauheen Hogi😊

Isnt it so annoying that Archana can be so ferocious here at the K house, but as soon as she goes to the D house, she becomes a beegi billi...She is a real Jane Fonda with Arjun and Purvi though...

Seriously! Why is Archana shown as being cold and distant with Purvi these days? I will forgive her if once, at least once she sits down with Purvi and asks her about her version of Arjun Purvi romance, and how it all started, and how Arjun, in his attempt to help his friend Ovi and her court case, kept his mouth shut regarding the engagement. Just a simple chat would solve all the problems between her and Purvi. But alas, where does reasoning and logic work? But as a viewer, to sit through this nonsense of Arjun bashing and cold treatment meted out to Purvi by Mahanta Queen is simply unbearable..

I think Archana is not aking Purvi because she know that Purvi will not lie and will admit that she loves Arjun

Now if Purvi admits then Archana will have to choose between Ovi and Purvi .. it is easier for her if she continues to doubt Arjun and does not have the confrontation with Purvi on her feelings

she is just postponing the inevitable

I loved that Purvi told Archana that she did wrong with Arjun, but when Archana started her bhashan , Purvi kept quiet. But I feel that when Purvi sees Arjun determination ( remember Arjun has just started the challenge ) , she will finally stand up for Arjun even if that means going against Archana if she doesn't change her attitude...

The less said about Archana at the moment, the better. I know Purvi hid the truth from her, but with this attitude how does she expect Purvi to tell her entire truth ??? And for me Archana's behaviour clearly indicates that she's favouring her blooddaughter over her adopted daughter...sorry

Cause I am willing to bet that if Ovi was in Purvi's place and Purvi in Ovi's, she would never behave like she's doing now...

I will forgive Archana when I see she's doing justice to both girls...let Purvi have Arjun when he proves himself and try to make Ovi understand that Arjun can never be hers, coz he doesn't love her.

She should not try to behave strict with Purvi & Arjun thinking that Arjun will give up, just to pacify her husband & beti...

So I want to see what Archana does when Arjun gives her the money...will she keep her promise OR will she back out from it
