Archana is sometimes right but she is also human so she has made many mistakes. But one thing about Archana that irritates me the most is her foolishness. That foolishness makes her say and do stupid things. Also, that very foolishness makes Archana zip her mouth closed when it is necessary to speak up. Archana has been brought up with values to respect her elders, be humble and had never been able to fight for her rights. She silently suffers but does not want to hurt anyone intentionally. she should speak up and she does when certain nerves are touched. She has blind faith in people who she loves. She is submissive by nature. She has endured so much in her life even before she married Manav. I agree that she acts out of innocence that is because her character is naive. .So Vandu made Archana promise not to reveal anything to anyone and Archana decides to show what a trustworthy person she is for keeping her mouth shut. A smart person (or even someone with half the brains of Archana) would know that Vandu's promise is not something she should keep to herself. I know it's Vandu's call if she wants to reveal her problem to anyone or not, but sometimes a person has to be smart (which Archana has proved many times she is not). Archana should have immediately told Manav about Vandu's situation and let Manav handle everything instead of making lame excuses when Savita asked why she didn't want to give the money to Ajit (and not even revealing the real reason for not giving the money).I agree with the underlined part.

She's also foolish for having blind faith in her daughter. Archana slapping Purvi for keeping the truth from her is one thing, but then just making assumptions and not letting your daughter get a chance to explain is another thing. I felt that her rage and slaps to Purvi wasn't because her child hid something important from her but because she was more upset over the fact that her sanskars and parvaarish proved to be not as great as she thought and that people will now question her sanskaars.Archu was more worried about what she will tell OVI. Well who told her to shout at the top of her lungs about how great her sanskaars and parvaarish were in front of so many people?

And the most foolish thing she has done is constantly flip-flopping between showing Manav she wants her family back and then saying how she cares only about money. yes she is foolish not to think for HERSELF. She flip flops because of keeping her promise that she made with Sachin. I agree that it is about time that she forgets what Sachin is making her do. She should also expose Savita's wrong doings that happened 18 years ago. Archana's character is such...same like why Savita is so cruel...She makes life harder for herself.

Oh, I also forgot the fact that she gave Soham to Varsha at the now infamous birthbay party.
