Sorry, but I do not agree that Archana is a bad mother . She is extremely foolish and emotional but to say that she is putting her children through torture and not understanding their pain is not true.

When she was asked to give them up by Manav, she was in an extremely vulnerable guilty emotional state when she was being made to feel that she was worthless. I dont think that she expected the separation to be forever. Then manav went to Canada with them. She was given to understand that she has to give up her rights on them by Manav . How was she then supposed to get in touch when Manav was not interested?
After manav landed in India, she was abused by him initially in very strong words and then suddenly his love for her resurfaces and he expected her to wag tail. She had witnessed sachu's hatred for her , came to know of her daughters hatred for her ( thro' phone) and also witnessed manav's behaviour and his words that their children hated her. This was repeatedly reinforced by Sachu, Teju and Ovi again and again when they spoke of Us Aurat . Manav's flip-flop behaviour about his love for her may be in front of her, but had she gone back to him, how would the hatred of all the children reduced? Even Teju has spoken of shravani aunty, so how do we know that shravani is not interested.
When she took Teju home, she was not aware of the fact that Teju is her daughter. When she came to know, she was left with two choices. Either to reveal or not. She did not reveal hoping that they would never come to know. If she had revealed, can we say that the situation had been better. Given the essense of the drama, do we really know that she would have been able to convince her daughters of her innocence or love for them? What would anybody have gained out of that situation.
manav is blind to his mothers faults and thinks that she has a "saaf dil". he still believes that Sulochana brainwashes Archana and that they are after his money. If he is allowed to be so naive and oh-so-innoecnt and get bullied by his son, what is Archana's fault ?
The fact that the truth got revealed , either before or now, does not in any measure reduce the suffering or that fact that the twins grew up motherless. So whats new.
What is being shown goes with the way her character has been written. She can stand up for everyone's rights except her own. For that she has Sulochana, who at least stands up for her. But she is not a bad mother. And not the one solely at fault. She has the guts to face situations . And not run away.
She will soon be facing Savita squarely, to protect Purvi from her. Not even manav can stop her then.
As for her not getting her daughters' love and vice-versa, what more is left to be lost. The damage is already done. Any patching up, if it happens will only be positive.

i m really pissed off with the story actually.u see now BU got comm of 6/7pg bc ppl r irritated.its fiction but there should b minimum logic sp when they showing archana as mom of adult kids so she should hv minimum basic mother quality.she is crying bc her daughters hate her but she isnt angry with those person who r responsible for it.actually archana shown as a duel personality.in 1side she loves manav cant keep away from him and expect to b loved by him but on the other hand she divorcing him to marry another woman.she is failure as a mother and not clear about her intention.manav is also split personality nature.he shows love archana but again he taught his kids to hate archana.even not trying to make his daughters understand.ekta keep busy hiten in another show where he needs to b in this critical situation .bc audience want to know what manav doing for her kids and archana.tanya really i m fed up the way PR going on.

GManda...first welcome to the Forum ! I like your post and hope you post more.

I was going to write about the same subject but you really said everything i wanted to say. Archu, tho foolish, is not a bad mother in my opinion. And where she hasn't done the best (and what mother hasn't made mistakes), it's solely because she has been beaten down and beaten down over and over so that she has absolutely no self confidence as a mother. And finally, I understand why she loves Sachin so much. He is the only one she ever got a chance to mother, and while he was spoiled in some ways, she did have mother/son moments with him. He did give her affirmation that she was a good mother.

Why was she willing to share Soham with Varsha, and why did she not contact the girls in the 18 years? It goes squarely back to Manav when she lost the first baby. The enormous enormous grief she felt in losing that baby (due to lack of money even from friends? like Satish who had plenty) was compounded by Manav's disappearance. His TOTAL AND COMPLETE SELFISHNESS in dealing with his own grief by abandoning his wife without a word, told her heart and her subconscious mind, it must have somehow be her fault the baby died. Manav should never ever be forgiven for that.. ever.
Her lack of confidence in being a mother stems purely from this terrible incident. And of course confirmed over and over by the evil Savita...who has removed every child from her by lies and manipulation and caused her to believe what was never true..and caused her son also to believe it... To say that her lack of contacting the girls was from lack of love for them is simply not true imo.
The only hope i have is that Manav finally sees his wife as who she is and will rescue her. Finally, after all these years. If he does not, then this whole show can go to hell. 😡 It's already got one foot totally inside the door of hell anyway.

Archana is foolish and hopelessly in love with a man who does not respect her. But I dont think she is a bad mother.
What options did she have when her daughters were taken away. Her wimpy husband challenged her to take him to court for their custody. The very next day, she was asked to sign away their custody by his sweeet mom.
I had written earlier also that purely from the children's POV I find this situation better than a tug-of-war for custody.
After 18 years also her options are limited. If she had revealed her identity, what happened now would have only been advanced. So I dont think it was important when the facts were revealed.
The children have been fed extremely negative stories about their mother and systematically brain-washed. They are not at fault the way they reacted.I mean, if Manav Uncle could believe such things about his "soulmate ", the kids are small fry.
Franky, I dont think it makes any difference to anyone if the D-clan goes back to Canada. The three women can manage as they did before. Manav running away is not new to Archana anyways. So she will shed some tears periodically and continue with her life as usual. Peace.
