Very interesting point of views from Naava and Vishwap .
Where I am disappointed with Archana, as a mother, is that she keeps putting others before her own kids..She has been a very good mother to her adopted kids but her own children have suffered ...Soham suffered because she put Varsha's needs ( only in the day of adoption she changed ) first ...Then with Ovi and Teju , she put Manav before them and did not contact her girls for 18 years ...then even now , she is putting Shravani and Sachin before the girls ...When ovi asked her , she should have given her the real reason for asking for money ...she neither did it then , nor wil lshe answer Ovi now because pleasing Sachin is more important ...She clearly saw that the girls were in pain and felt unloved by her but she would rather have that then have Sachin and Shravani get angry with her ...And most important of all...how can a woman continue to love the man who took her babies away from her like Manav did ..who ordered her to stay away from them and who filled them up with hate against their own mother ..Her love for Manav makes her look like a bad mother ...By now , if she loved her kids , she would have hated the very name Manav Deshmukh ,.

Tanya, to answer your good post here i want to quote from our teachers. It is said that "he who shows compassion to the wicked or cruel (persons) will eventually become cruel to the compassionate." It simply means that allowing evil to continue without stopping it or confronting it, eventually causes cruelty to happen to the innocent people because the evil wasn't stopped.
If you will accept this definition of Archana being a bad mother, i could agree - but only because she allows Savita to continue her evil not because she is a bad mother per se. Archana does not have evil in her own heart, she loves her children very much but has made some very very bad decisions. A different thing for me.
OK, fine ..We could look at it this way ..
But I do think that Archana's inability to stop evil ,her constant support to those who do evil deeds , her never complaining to Manav about whath his actions have made her go though ...all this is asign of a bad mother .. Mother has to be responsible yaar ..Mother has to take care of her child .Heep her dafe and happy ..Archana could do neither for Ovi and Teju because she has priorities over them to take care of ...Sachin's happiness and Shravani getting her husband is more important than giving the right answer to the girls which would help the girls more ...Naava , it's just unbelievable that this woman keeps loving Manav ...when in real she should just hate him more than anyone else in tis world .
