First of all - just WOW Janhvi ๐Ÿ‘ You get two of these bad boys ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Absolutely LOVED every word! โญ๏ธ

After stepping back for a while I think what's hurts me the most about this situation is that Purvi does not have a best friend of her own that she can turn to at this moment. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

She has no one to watch out for her and tell Arjun - "If you break her heart, I'll break your face". ๐Ÿ˜ก She's really like an orphan with no dear ones she can just release all these feelings too and that's what tugs at my heartstrings the most!

Once she can find that confidant, goes through that catharsis and releases all that hurt, things will look up for her. ๐Ÿค— And my heart will be somewhat comforted in knowing that she's not completely alone.

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow. You're only a day away!" - Little Orphan Annie

P.S. Purvi, you should also try bickram yoga - it works wonders!!!

Laurie, true Purvi is an orphan Annie, she has no one to stand up for her but the girl is strong enough to face the world by herself, she just needs to clear the cobwebs out of her brain, her baba and Arjun. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dear Purvi,

You were right from the beginning. You doubted how Arjun could love you, you were a middle class girl, he belongs to circles beyond your wildest dreams. Some of us scoffed at you, we were wrong. Birds of a feather flock together, you belong to your own circle of middle class izzat, safe-guarding of reputations and working hard to better your lot in life. You certainly do not belong in Arjun's circle (or Ovi's) and I hope he has made that sufficiently clear to you today. He has done it time and time again, the day of the surprise engagement where he put his dad's and Ovi's izzat over you but you have been blinded by his so mobile, emoting face.

Arjun understands his izzat and loss of face better than yours. Cannot blame him, he is after all not born in the mohalla. He has more in common with Ovi than with you. He might have been temporarily dazzled by chawl magic, the midnight pav eating and a girl who did not care for his social class and gave him as good as she got. But remember, he is used to the fawning and clinging and probably finds that more easy to slip into than in coming clean about you. Will he ever is the question. Do not waste any time with the likes of him, move on, shrug this liking you have for him as your "pehla pyaar" (very wise of you in your choice of words at the airport), he is definitely not the "pyaar of your zindaagi" however much the CVs might try to convince you.

Arjun stepped out of his comfort zone for you, it was a novelty, it was like a child in a costume store. As the night rolls around, the kid is tired and puts an end to his play acting and wants to head home. So is it with Arjun, he played for a little while happily but now it is time for him to return to his luxuries and fake societal reputation, time to return to his Barbie doll fiance who will soon be his trophy wife, to his Ovi.

Move on, girl, stiffen your back, don't demean yourself by giving him those hurt looks, Arjun does not deserve them. He is never going to tell, he is too happy basking in all that attention.

And, another word of advice, the man you call baba is not worth your love either.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Get out of their company, find another job, get yourself a nice looking man who loves you enough to bring down the stars for you and carry yourself with a spring in your step. You deserve it. No more moping, no more silent tears, no more hurt, the guy you imagine yourself in love with is not worth two pennies.

Please get a grip and don't fall into the voodoo trap of "baba" and "aai ki khushi" and Teju's banter. We are rooting for you, Miss Purvi. Show them, please, if not for your sake, for ours at least.

Sincerely, Your ardent fan

Fantastic Jhanvi ...Really well written post ..
It is just the kind of post I love to read the most ...straight from the heart type ...
More than fancy words , your emotions and your feelings for Purvi have come shining through this post ...
I have highlighted in blue the parts I loved most ...
Now if Purvi expects anything from Arjun and gives him those sad hurtful looks then I will not like it at all...
She has seen it very clearly that he is Ovi's guy and lets be fair toOvi here ...she has not done anything deliberately wrong to Purvi ( as yet ) . Purvi should just go back to her old life of a hard working middle class girl who is the apple of her mother' eye ...who was raised by Archana and no Baba was around when she was growing up ...
The way Manav was avoiding her yesterday , it felt as if Purvi is his illegitimate daughter that he had with his mistress Archana ...
Purvi should go back to watching movies of Ranbir Kapoor with her Aie ...
With Ranbir around , who needs Arjun ...๐Ÿ˜†
Clearly for Arjun , Ovi's career is more important than Purvi's pain and her reputation ...and Ovi is not like some girl who depends on this career so much , her dad is a multi millionaire but for Purvi , her reputation was everything but clearly it is not important enough for Arjun ...
For me love means to give respect to the person you love ...
Arjun clearl ydoes not feels this way about Purvi ...he is Junior Manav who does not gives a damn about Archana's respect any more and happily eats her cooked food while sachin calls her a maid ...

Thanks, Tanya, love what you have written, esp the part in red๐Ÿ˜†
You are so right, love means respecting the person you love, both these men, Manav and Arjun are incapable of that๐Ÿ˜ก I disliked Manav with a passion today, those furtive looks did make it seem like Archana was his mistress and the poor girl was his illegitimate child. Why is he so afraid anyway? As far as the world goes he doesn't have a wife.๐Ÿ˜ก Yes, and the instance when he let Sachin get away with calling Archana "bai", arrghh!!

Purvi should join a rival company and should make Arjun shed blood tears through her each action...High tim Mr Arjun Kirloskar should be given the bitter taste of his own medicine.
