PR will end one day. But I don't want Ankita to suffer because of PR. I feel that she should think about her career not PR. PR will end. But she has to survive in this industry for long. So I want her to move and find some other roles of her age. This show has given me everything so i will continue it- this kind of attitude is not going to help. Regarding ekta's commitment I don't believe Ekta. She has said that she will give Ankita 'a role' in her next show not the 'lead role'(I hope I am wrong and she give Ankita lead role). So I want either PR to end or Ankita to leave it so that she can find some better work. Moreover regarding money other production house pays more than Balaji

PS...I think the issue is more what Poppy stated...that people don't want to see romance between Hiten and Ankita because the "romance" should be between Sushant and Ankita...they are willing to have a more mature Manav in Hiten but the romance should only be Sushita. I will bet dollars for doughnuts, that if Sushant were still playing Manav, and the 18 year separation happened, viewers would want and wait for the romance between Archu/Manav...in this way it's kind of like after a divorce, watching a parent romantic with a step-parent...that is very hard for kids to take sometimes... but let's not confuse this problem with age. 😉 😃

I agee with most of what you said.

I'm one of those who can't see any other actor (not just Hiten), as Manav.

Sushant played Manav for so long. He and Ankita blended so well, and when they became a real life couple, that helped the chemistry alot, and this cannot be replicated with any other actor.

Having said that, I still wouldn't want to see just romance between Arman (always Sushita) at 50+ years old.

What has happend in their relationship since this latest leap, changes how they should relate.

Even when Sushant was still there, in some episodes when romance was shown, it seemed out of place considering the other factors that were occuring in their lives at the time.

In the same way, with Hiten as Manav, them being apart for 18 years with no contact at all, to now show them as a very romantic couple seems out of place and unreal, with all the other things happening with their family at this time, especially Archana not asking about her daughters and neither Archana nor Manav talking about Soham. Romance in this context is very off-putting to me.

Actually Sharon i agree with what you wrote as well.

@ bold When Hiten and Archana were first shown together i said it felt like Archana was being unfaithful or having an affair...and some on the forum laughed at me, but it felt like that to me, so real was the chemistry between Sushita...(and for obvious real life reasons). But now i have accepted Hiten as Manav and am able to make the transition. Once in a while i find myself wondering how Sushant would have played a particular scene and if i would feel differently about that particular interaction.

/@red I would agree with the red, but not because of age. I think the way the writers often showed romance was very childish...even for 20 year olds...more like 12 year old pre-teens trying to figure out how to flirt. That's just bad writing again. Married couples of 22 don't act like they portrayed them ...but again my point is the problem is not that manav/archu are 50 or 60...for me anyway.

And yes, after 18 years of separation with no contact, you would have to start all over...you would have to talk and talk, and work out problems, and court...and THEN the romance blossom...BUT (my broken record) not because of age, but circumstances. 😳

@Tanyaz- I watched the show last night on tv, lawyer saab said something that I didnt understand, "because I want my parents together that is why Archana and baba has to be divorced"😕 I am sure that is what i read (subtitles) Loved that Purvi reminded him that both of them are not Manav/Archana kids👏 That actress is playing her role effortlessly, hats off to her for doing a fab job👏

karen...you are absolutely right. she didn't know where any of them were...obviously no one had contacted her...even damodar and not ashna which she wondered ...did ashna also hate her??

That said, in a realistic story, in today's age of internet.😆.she could have looked on line for manav deshmukh or DK or the business. She could have contacted Vandita. But even then she might not have contacted them, but maybe secretly followed them. She might even have looked to see if they were on facebook. In fact, she could have joined the forum and then she would have known a little bit (but not much since we know hardly anything !!!!!!!!) 🤣

But your point is very well taken...they so ruthlessly cut her out of their lives...even if she longed for them, being rejected one more time was probably more than her heart could bear. 😭 And she needed to stay strong for Purvi.

Also, your point to Tanya...i remember reacting to Sachin's statement about "his parents" and thought = not so fast Sachu. If not legally adopted by Arman...only Shravani is his "parent"

Such a mixed up kid... glad Purvi is going to clear things up 😆 (btw. an intriguing thought came to me...wonder who Purvi's birth parents are...be interesting to see if they are someone we should recognize or someone already connected)

he meant his parents ( Manav and Shravani ) . He considers Manav to be his real dad but not Archana his real mother ... even though he knows his biological dad is Manav's brother .

The way Ovi spoke to Archana with so much hate ..I can understand why Archu is keeping away ., she thinks that they hate her and don't want her around .In fact she thinks they they think of her as dead ..

I wish she has told this to Manav ...

That's how I take this show as if it is a totally different show ...

The character of Manav ahs changed so much that I just cannot iodentify him with the old characterisation ...

.. One thing for sure we all agree on is that the 18 years leap was about the dumbest thing they could have written in, and how they - the cv's - handled it...

I think it was Ekta's idea and it didn ot work...that is why now she is not showing even Manav around his daughters that much ..She made a big mistake and is now trying to correct it ...Why she is always showing leaps ...what a silly thing to do ...

@blue...I'm agreeing with you too. I mentioned that part just about the circumstances in the show at the time, not to do with age at all.

That is why I said even when Manav was there (and he and Ankita played a couple in their 20's then), I was saying that even then, sometimes their romance seemed out of place for the scene sequence only. Nothing to do with their age.😊

Re you thinking Archana was having an affair when Hiten first started playing Manav...don't worry. You had company. I felt the same way too.😊

I remember reading your post and thinking, yeah, I don't feel so bad now as someone else feels the same way too.😊
