I want to ask a question, I need clarification. When you say someone is "dead for you," what does that mean in terms of the Indian culture?

It means that person does not exist for me

Hilly Di,

As far as I think,
Its the Literal meaning only, 'Dead for you' means,She is as good as Dead from their POV.

She living/Dead doesn't make a difference, for them, she is dead, no more ,doesn't there at all...

Watched the last part too,

All this Reasoning(I can call that number and know the details), all these thoughts(On Kids) and all this sayings(whatever manav might say,let him say,I will bare and hear it for the Kids sake, will do it for kids) and all these sensible or thinking with Brain things(if aai took it what to do,anyways will try it, if someone else then will cut it)...

All these wished to see and hear 18/20 yrs Back...😒...
But Nope,Its too too tooo late ...

Having these thoughts only now......
Once if she has tried the same way she did today instead of sitting in the chair, crying and running at last minute,
This 18yrs of lonely life wouldn't have happened,Kids will not be deprived of mother's love...

What to Do, Cvs wanted 18yrs leap...😆

Btw, How much ever I hate archu's actions, today seeing the scene of archu with her daughters,
I feel melted...Hmmm.Hmmm..I know I am being crazy here😳 and have a weakness for such scenes 😳,
But then the scene, where archu asked who,and Ovi said Ovi Deshmukh, the reaction shown by archu on it, and then when Ovi said, excuse me,Its Mr.Manav Deshmukh and then the reaction smile shown, As we will smile at the cute kids when they do something cute and entire Conversation till the mention of their mother ,I liked it.

Hope to see many more scenes with archu and her Daughters...

Ankita has done it well today. She has learned a lot in the process of two to three Years.
With Sachu she couldn't bring the chemistry of mother...
But Now she has improved a lot...Today's Phone conversation scene,I saw a mother in her...
I observed so...

Well if that is the meaning, what is wrong if Ovi and Teju say it?
Aren't they consenting adults?

Well, I like saying it, I have been saying it since 2007, when I started watching Indian Serials, after watching the movies for years. I think it is a nicer way of telling someone to go to hell, instead of literally harming them. Just my POV, I said Archana was dead for me a few times, am I wrong too? Even though I am not her child?🤣

THAT IS WHY JUST LOVE THE INDIAN CULTURE SO MUCH PASSION, AND I AM PASSIONATE.

THANKS GUYS FOR THE CLARIFICATION🤗

Yes ,yes we too have said, the character is dead for us when she does something useless...
It has gone into Grave or dig its own grave when totally insensible or out of character things are done...

Hi Varsha Di, Kool Di, umi and Hilly Di. Fantastic posts made by all😊

Archana, Purvi and Sulo scene bored me today. Purvi claiming that she knows her mother most, and Archana thinking that Purvi knows me much more then my own daughters did, what kind of statement is that? How would Ovi and Teju have felt if they got to know this, they are Archana's own daughters. I could even understand if they feel jealous of Purvi that their mother is giving Purvi all of the love and attention and not them.

Punni and Rasika scene was ok, but what Punni is doing is not right. How could she do this to her parents, her parents have always been very caring and loving to her and have always made sure she got what she wanted in life, why is she comparing what she did to what Manju did? If Punni wants to take revenge on someone, it should be Purvi, as she is the one who exposed her in the worst way possible, because of Purvi her own mother almost got in a car crash. Manju threw out Sulo from the house for a reason, Sulo would not stop doing praises of her daughters, especially Archu and the Ks have interfered too much in Manju-Vinod's life. Not a good way to show punishment for Manju, she always was a loving mother, she shouldn't be punished by her own kids.

Someone who should be punished by their kids is Archana as she abandoned them and favors Purvi over them and she says Purvi knows her more than her own daughters do. When has she given her daughters the chance to get to see her, she abandoned them at such an early age. Manav gave his children both a father and mother's love.

Felt bad for Manav, but he is slipping a bit, seeing Arhana for the 1st time after 18 yrs, has made him a bit more emotional, hopefully this is not for long and he stops getting emotional over Archana.

Ovi was right in what she said on the phone. She would be upset to hear about her mother as she was told her mother never cared about her and abandoned her which is right. I didn't feel bad for Archana though at the end, she has to stop acting like the victim all the time, if her children are not with her right now, it is only due to her actions. She gave up her children so she should never be forgiven by them. I hope Archana and Manav never unite again, Manav will turn emotional again and start doing stuff for his selfish in laws, I hope he stays back in Canada with his daughters and mother.

I liked Archana and Purvi scene, ever since she adopted Purvi I've seen the change in Archana in terms of being a mother. Whatever she lacked with her other children, she has found since adopting Purvi. Archana is finally understanding the importance of being a mother, a child comes first and who your world revolves around.

I did feel bad for Archana today as her heart sank hearing that she is dead to her children but I agree with you bhalla, she did bring this upon herself. Archana should have made an effort to fight for her children instead of giving them away just like that without looking back. No matter how good a father Manav is, she could have found a way to keep track about where they were, how they were. She could have called Vandu or Satish. The CVs could have at least brought up Archana trying to establish some contact with her children before this.

in order to understand their replies and their emotional state one must be in their shoes i.e. be abandoned by your mother (from their POV) with no explanation from her or fault on their part. have some other individual making the decision about their birth right based on their own sense of guilt or need for absolution. Strong reactions like theirs are not a sign of rejection of their mother to me but a reflection of their inner sense of disappointment at being illogical abandoned by their mother

Silly CVs - first they said Savita did not tell her about ticket that is why she did not come, then they changed it to Archana made promise to Manav that is why she did not come? So one time Savita's fault and another time Manav's?😆 make up your mind CVs which deshmukh do you want to axe for this blooper?😆
