I really don't understand .
The Law of Karma should be applicable to ALL mothers except Archana's mother . Why ? Coz she is the ever virtuous , lovely Archana's mother . In her case I see a dismissal of her doings and arguments that 'after all she is a mother na' .
Not just that I also see that karmic punishment is weighed and said ...its okay if she works like a maid under Manju but she should nOT be thrown out of her house .
Now I ask those who say this ...is not living under a bahu and working like a servant a veritable living death ? That is okay with some ...how come ? What makes this punishment less terrible than the throwing out one ?
Sulochana has not one but 3 rich damads . 3 daughters who will do EVERYTHING for her comfort the moment she is thrown out . She is NOT gonna be alone like Savita . Vandu did not come over to see Savita's comforts nor did Manav have time from his stupid Kholi romance . She was the REALLY thrown out one ...Not from house but from LIFE of son .
Who decides that HEY THIS MUCH KARMIC PUNISHMENT IS ENOUGH ? Working like a maid is enough ...what has happened now is a horror story and violation of ethics ...WHO DECIDES THIS ? This is an atempt to control the Law Of Karma with our SUBJECTIVITY .
And if so May I point out ...that for harassing Archana in the earlier stages ...WHY WAS SAVITA SHOWN TO LOSE HER SON SACHIN ? Why was a jail beating given to her old bones ? Why was she made to dance like a prostitute in Rasikas party and why was she subjected to the horror of watching her lovely daughter's horrific abusive marraige to Ajit the rapist ?
Do you mean that ALLthese punishments were karmically justifiable for harassing Archana as a mean saas ? Weigh the Karma .
She had NOT killed anyone that her son was taken away .
But when Karma ...God's whiplash for enabling evil came , it struck forcefully didn't it ? She paid for MUCH MORE than her actual sin .
Her actual sin had been being unecessarily mean to an innocent bahu ...and the fitting punishment for that was actually seeing HER daughter getting exactly the same treatment . Bas , The karmic punishment should have ended there .
It did not . Savita paid and paid through her nose . And glee was expressed saying She should pay MORE and MORE . Why ? Coz she disliked Archana .
It was NOT SAID that she has paid ENOUGH . This is too much . WAY TOO MUCH .
To top ALL these karmic punishments Savita got the biggest karmic punishment of all ...She lost her living son to the very girl she disliked . She lost him in such a way that he NEVER was her son again after the marraige ...He returned ONLY as Archana;s husband ...she was forced to swallow her dislike and accept Archana by going on her knees for fear of losing her son .
And SO MANY KARMIC PUNISHMENTS for Savita's one crime of disliking Archana were JUSTIFIABLE and applauded with GLEE .
Compared to her Sulo led comfortable life ...All grandchildren around her , a son who was dutiful uptill now , who checked on her even when seperated unlike Manav , A doting husband who peed at her command , 3 daughters who regularly visited maaika and had lovely Ma Beti weeping sessions with her in bedroom , a bahu who pulled on the sansaar of 7 mouths with HER JOB ALONE while the full family fed off her money when Sulos son was unemployed , damads who competed with each other in giving her gifts and throwing her parties .
This is the FIRST FATKA she got ...her FIRST whiplash ...a first one that HURT , really HURT ...and SO MUCH SYMPATHY is being expressed saying Omg No she is a MOTHER ...the Karmic punishment should not OUTWEIGH her actual karma . It is FAR MORE , the punishment .
But for Savita the punishments were not FAR MORE . They were ...Let me see ...JUST .
Who says Sulochana was wrong in giving sahara to Archu when she was living on the footpath ?
I do NOT say so . If damad's mom is being stubborn and NOT giving them a roof over their head ...Sure a mother should step in and help her daughter out .
Nobody faults Sulo for THAT . THAT was not taking Manav away .
But when that old lady came , walking in the heat to her door , repenting and keeping aside her ego ...A big thing , for ADULTS to keep aside EGO ...especially in such delicate relationships ...asking pathetically for address of her ONLY LIVING SON ...Who the hell was Sulo to deny it ? Especially when HER family had somehow been connected and morally responsible for the death of her other son ...Sachin ?
No I will oh so not agree it was ONLY truck Drivers fault and it was Girish's phone that did it . It was much deeper than that ...it was NOT so simplistic . Girish did not suddenly get up and cancel engagement of Sachin , the jailing destroyed all his future prospects and that jailing stemmed from Karanjkar bahu whom senior Karanjkar Sulo ALWAYS PROTECTED. Even Girish's cancellation , disapproved as it is by me , is traced back to Sulo's bahu alone .
Manav was not just her damad ...Manavs story was tragic .He was the ONLY living son of the old lady , THAT was his status . He was her damad LATER . HER SON FIRST .
Who the hell was SHE to purposefully not give it as a TACTIC To set Savita straight ? Just who put her in charge ? Just like WHO had put her silly daughter in charge to cure Savita with her idiotic Doctor Doctor and HATE producing psychology ?
When Sulochana HERSELF is so imperfect and needs tremendous straightening out , what gave her the self righteous right to put ANYONE straight by using TOUGH TACTICS and breaking Maharshtrian norms as set by our peers ?
What she should have done was give the repentant old lady water and immediately phoned her Beti and Damad and called them there . She should have stayed OUT of their private sorting out but shoud have , privately told them ...Enough is enough . It is not good to make an aged person go on her knees to this extent . She has come begging for ur address . Now u all go back and live happily , work on ur relationships .
THIS is what a mature adult shud have done . Not BS talk that YOUR LIVING SON IS NOW MINe ...WONT GIVE U ADDRESS And U KNOW WHAT YOUR GRANDCHILD TOO WILL LEAVE YA !!!!!!
It is HERE that she interfered between MOTHER and SON . She DID ...theres no two ways about it . And today she is paying by losing her son to her bahu and experiencing same pain .
She did NOT interfere when she gave sahara to Archu . She did interfere LATER when she took it in her hands to 'SET HER SAMDHAN STRAIGHT" . For the record she is also paying for NOT SETTING BOUNDS ON ANOTHER SAMDHAN ...RASIKA .
She showed arrogance with a poor woman who had no money and wose only living son was under her daughter's influence ...so much so that he had forgotten his basic duties of going and checking on his parents once in a while ...But she had no himmat to show arrogance to Rasika , who was a WORST samdhan wo set fire in her family time and again ...why ???
Coz she was afraid of Rasika . Yup . Thats the truth . No guts there ...it was Rasika Tai , Rasika Tai all along . Why were no TACTICS used with Rasika ?
Who was Sulochana to give Savita any reality check when she herself needed MANY ?
She is PAYING today for her insufferable self righteousness .
Just like no one could do a thing about Savita's horrific punishments that outweighed her karma , no one can do a thing about Sulochana's sad punishment too . Its the SAME for all ...exceptions will not be made for Archu's mommy .
Of course Vinod will pay . We all know that . What I would love to see is Manju paying later . Duno if we will EVER see it in this serial .
Till now Manju did NOT pay due to the immense protection of the two Chanas ...Archana and Sulochana . Lets hope NOW their eyes open .
Won't be surprised if they DON"T . A lady who can forgive the horrific miscarraige of her own child and YET continue relations with Manju by calling her Vahini as if NOTHING happened , I do NOT expect anything much from that lady .
She is known to give slaps and then apologise to the VERY persons she slapped . Like Dharmesh . Her slaps , frankly , have no meaning , as immediately after some days she does a turn around and enables the evil doer .
