Why has Manav become a Nobody?

Off late I got pretty pissed to see Manav winning FOTD consecutively, however now that I think about it, its somewhat justified.

Why has Manav become a nobody in the show. The story keeps revolving around Savita and Archana, and Manav has been merely pushed to the back ground.

He is doing nothing, niether as a son nor as a businessman.

Clearly he can see his Ayi is in depression, and today he even soemwhat acknowledged that Archana's strategy is not working, yet still he is doing nothing.

Considering Savita's illness has solely becomes her issues with her *son*, shouldnt Manav step up and sort them out or *try* to do something, instead of relying on airhead wife and her homemade remedies. I mean imagine if something similar happened to Sulochana, I am sure Archana would have taken over and not manav, then when the issue is with Savita, then Manav should handle it, he definately knows his mother better than Archana

I am very saddened of this character importance reduction of Manav. Nowadays, there is more characterization happening with Ajit than Manav.

Manav has almost become a prop in daily Archana and Savita scenes.

Sushant might be okay with his girlfriend's character taking all the limelight, but I am not, this story is about both Archana and Manav, and both characters should be given equal value..

And to be honest, this track is making Archana seem Stupid and Lame (because her whimpy techniques are *just* not working) and Manav seem more Passive and Irresponsible, so niether character is winning

Its hightime Manav took things in his control and resolved issues personally 1-1 with his Ayi, without Archana stepping into the picture.

Bingo! I agree with every word.

The only good thing for me in yesterday's pathetic pathetic pathetic episode (with relation to Savita's track) was that Manav tried to point out to Archana that her strategies are not working. That this is not the right way to treat his Aai.

But as usual Archu didn't listen. I don't know from where she is getting the confidence to carry out with her stupid strategies. Every time Manav tries to point out, she says, "It will work" and this sort of silences him. She is the joint fool of the day for me. In fact she is the fool for me till she accepts her strategies are wrong. Grrrr......

I feel Manav has always been the sort of guy who gets silenced easily by all, even earlier he used to accept quietly whatever Savita, Girishji and all told him- its the same now also, and this is what is irritating me very badly now. He needs to speak up!!!! Keeping such blind faith in others words is also not right. He needs to do what he thinks is right even if it is going to make Archana angry.

I hope the next time Archana points out that her strategies are 'working' Manav voices it clearly and loudly that her strategies are NOT working, that they are an EPIC FAIL and that they need to do something else about this situation now. I don't even mind a good fight between both of them, (they can always make up later in an emotional/romantic manner) all I want is SOMEONE blasting Archana for the way she is treating Savita in the name of 'making Aai alright'. I felt like crying only after reading the written update of yesterday. Archana's behavior was such a turn-off, I didn't like her AT ALL in yesterday's episode. And her constant "Aai will get alright, Aai is responding" and so on, it made me want to enter the serial set and give her shoulders a nice shake.

And then I want someone to blast Manav and Vandu for not handling the situation well.

About Damo, I better not comment. This guy gets on my nerves. The episode where he offered money to his wife was plain pathetic. Aaaarrrrgggggghhhh!!!!! I have never seen a more insensitive guy like him. Huh!

What I'm shocked at is that the CV's show even the chawl people advising Savita, a mentally sick person, to 'not be stubborn' and this and that... instead of advising ArMan. ITs pathetic the way people are treating Savita in this serial, SHE IS NOT STUBBORN- SHE IS ILL. This si not the time to ask HER to change, you will only end up distancing her from them. Now that the neighbours are syaing its Savita's fault, she won't go and talk to them anymore and sink even more in depression. This is what is called depression-- you start distancing yourself from those who don't care for you or understand you.

What the hell are these CV's doing!! This track is so sick it makes me puke!!!!!

I thought Vandu marrying her rapist and staying on at his house inspite of getting raped everyday was the worst track in this serial, but Savita's illness track exceeds this by a big amount.

PS: Sorry Byte, some of it is not related to your topic, but I couldn't help venting. Aaaahhhhh..... I feel GOOD now,

Haha no worries, ppl can use this a general venting thread too.. I think I did much the same, now we cant guarantee everyone will vent about the same thing, you know its because the CVs give us soo many things that just piss us off.. 😉

And you are right about Manav being a push over, its just annoying me to the core, I mean Dude Step up and do Something. And I am ssoo soo craving for an Arman fight now, actually to think about it, they havent ever fought verbally both, its more just misunderstanding or one saying stuff to the other with the other being totally submissive. Their annoying mutual understanding bores me!

Honestly I would rather see the Jaywant track than this, atleast when Jaywant comes, manav acts more like a man.

I am not sure why Balaji is soo fond of cry baby heroes, they make me go 🤢

This is what I want to see:

(1) Manav telling off Archana to stop using his Mother as her guinea pig for her random experiments, and do something himself. I really think Savita and Manav share a good chemistry, the last scene I remember was when it was Savita's birthday, the conservation they had was nice. But now its like Archana is the only dimwit who cares and Manav has full faith on airhead.

(2) Manav becoming more involved in his business stepping up. Like whatever happened to Manav becoming successful track???

(3) Perhap Vandita also coming for a change and looking after her Ayi

(4) And then inevitably there will be some sort of a Jaywant Archana track, I am fine with, as long as Arman survive a hiccup in their relationship.

Byte, I think we are all having the same ideas here. I was thinking of writing a short story about this track, but then I thought everyone would start bashing me for writing up a story about an ArMan fight (and that too Manav shouting at Archu ) and Savita's illness, so I didn't do it.😆😃😉

I really really want an ArMan fight now. A big bad one. Can't husband wife have debates/discussions/fights sometimes?

And if the fight is big, the making-up can be equally big.... like Manav taking Archu out for a few days... 😉

Naiki aur pooch pooch, please please please please write a short story on an Arman fight, it would really really make me feel better, btw just dont show a fight, also do a nice makeup session. It will really help the boring and depressing season in PR>

Please please write it, you know it been like more than a month since I have seen a PR episode properly, they have just ruined the story to the max. But your updates for your FF, I read them soo thoroughly. Your Awesome!

And yeah I want a verbal argument bwt Arman as well, nothing to do with misunderstanding or anything or them randomly doting on the windows and thinking about some lame misunderstanding, I want them to talk it out, yell if you have to.. I mean comon a fight is natural, you possibly cannot agree with someone else on everything.. if that is so, then either you are hypocrite or too scared to ruin your relationship (read Archana then Manav)..

You know when they moved into that chawl initially when they got married, I so wanted that song sequence Aye Udi Udi to be picturzied on them, its the perfect song for newly married runaway couples, but pity they were just too busy solving the whole world's problem on their chataii with door open.. Pish posh, ArMan make everything soooooooooo Boring.. bah.

I also feel very bad the way Manav's character is being shown these days .he is hardly even worried about his work and is not ever trying to talk to his mother and trying to butter her up , at least try and win her with love ..

I can only think of one reason and that is tha tthey want to show Archana solving problems for as Savita ...always .

It is not now that they are doing it , they have always done that .Archu was always trying to solve problems for Vandita, or when Savita was worried she did not even attend her sister's wedding ..

Now they want Archu to be the one to help out Savita , the very girl that Savita hates ...

Today episode they have shown that Savita is sort of getting to be like her old self ...( fighting Archu in the market , getting excited about jewellery ) so I think they are now trying to show that indeed Archana's theory of ' If it is hurting it is working ' , is bringing back Savita to life ..

I don't agree with this story line....find it unrealistic and boring ...

Manav will soon be shown as the hero ( I feel ) that he is ...

He will be the one to help out the Karanjkars and he will have Jaywant after him soon who will try and take his wife away from him ...

Deshmukh family will always be helped by Archana and Karanjkar family will always be helped by Manav ...

This is the story line and the main thing shown in this show ..Manav and Archana ahelping out each other in their life ...

Tanya Di, that indeed is the storyline... but the way it is shown is pathetic and stupid.

I have no doubts that Savita will be shown as becoming normal due to Archu's 'theories', and that is what I DON'T want to see. In fact as of now I don't see Archana's strategies working at all, I see Savita shrinking into depression more and more. Jsut bcos someone gets water on her own or buys vegetables doesn't mean they are getting better. Many people suffer from serious mental problems and depression but still continue to work in offices and so on cos they know they need money to survive. That doesnt mean they are getting normal.

Till the root of the problem is not handled, the problem is never solved.

I really want CV's to handle at least one track of this serial properly. They mess up every track.

Niki , yo uare right .the yare doing a poor job in handling this .. I say that savita was shown to be getting better ( slightly coming back to life ) because she was talking about getting her jewellery polished , she held o nto the umbrella and said ' mera manav ' and smiled ..Then she is getting ready for a festival ( clothes for sachu , talking about the menu , also buying things for the house ) as opposed to holi when she told both her son and husband tha t they wil lnot clebrate holi and locked herself i n the room ..

Of course she is not completely well but the way I saw it today was that they are trying to show that hatred for Archana were the reason for her living and because hate is getting even more because of Archana's constant getting on her nerves ...she is going back to life ...

Uff ...what a pakao story line ....👎🏼

Bekaar ka drama ..totally useless stuff.

Even Archana's chaarcter was shown saying this to her friend Madhuri that I have to keep her making hate me so she is at least living ...

Because that was the reason of her living ...

The only thing good I can think of is at least this story is coming to an end soon...

I don't know ...in the coming week we will see things more clearly I guess..
