If they genuinely want to see her happy, how come none of them ever asks Manav if he cares enough to kill all the roadside romeos for her, why did he divorce her? They are always after Archana for answers. She is very clearly still in love with the guy but cant marry him coz he WONT marry her. So, there isnt much she can do can she.

All middleclass Indian families perceive a daughter is better off married with a kid or two than all alone with a smashing career. This is a fact and I am sure the Karanjkars are no different here. Where they are wrong according to me is they never stood up for her when her first marriage was crumbling all around her. All of them accepted Manav's ill adviced decision with no opposition and they are fooling themselves now that Archana is ready to move on when she clearly is kicking and screaming otherwise.

My two cents are : the only person to blame for all of Archana's miseries post marriage is Manav. Had he been half a husband that Vinod is to Manju and we wouldnt see the poor girl in such a miserable situation.

Totally agree Taran...The dude who put Archu in this precarious situation is now trying to be the hero questioning TDH's intentions...Making judgements on TDH not being a good husband material especially for Archu...Bhai aapne apna thobda kabhi aaine me dekha hai kya??? Aap kaun hote ho yeh judgement denewale...Aap hi to ho jisne Archu ko iss jagah pahoonchaya...🤔
CVs want to make dumb useless of man who is a lead a saving hero but he is the one who put the lead female in this situation...Kya nonsense dikha rahe hai 🤢
Atleast Vinod-Manju has some marriage life...Manju does love him....She might be the vamp but in her marriage she does care for...ArMan are from another planet 😳

Really nice thread going on! 😊

I think there is no question that mothers and fathers always believe that their daughters (and sons, but especially daughters) should get married and live happily. Perversely, Sulochana might even believe that if Archana marries Jaywant, she might in time forget Manav as well. This is right in the beginning when the rishta was just being discussed etc.

At this point when so much has happened, it is HORRIBLY unfair to Archana to blackmail her to go on with this marriage, knowing what kind of person Jaywant is - the fact that he actually perpetuated a FRAUD to keep Manav in jail! And Dharmesh, who went along with this is also allowed to go scot free because he can very conveniently blame Archana saying that her rishta with Manav is not 'pavitra', or that she is wronging her future in-laws / husband - when he is wrong in the eyes of the law.

I have not seen a person more unhappy and more put upon than Archana. And one person who we should mention is Manju in this context. That woman is responsible for EVERY ill that has fallen on this family, more than even Dharmesh and the self-sacrificing saints, and she gets to go scot free.

The second person we should mention is Savita - who first lied, then created love in Shravani's mind for Manav by attacking her insecurities, then tried to take away the same status to give it to Archana, and now judging Archana for what she is doing without any evidence.

The third person we should mention is Shravani. If a man doesn't want to marry her so obviously, she should walk away from him, taking the child. She's rich enough, she can manage. Instead she went about emotionally blackmailing Archana into as loveless a marriage as she is going to have.

After this only comes Archana's family - her brother and sisters especially - who don't seem to see the wrong their respective spouses are doing, but are bent upon accusing Manav and Archana for so many things while not even thinking about the things they have done for the family, and the number of times they have forgiven all of these people. Varsha's marriage was saved by Manav, and he helped out in Vaishu's wedding also. He treated them no less than younger sisters.

Honestly, I don't even have much respect left for Archana and Manav any more also. They brought all this upon themselves by being silly and self-sacrificing. And if they can't forget each other - they shouldn't have got divorced in the first place. The only people I have some respect left for are Satish - who is genuinely regretting the fraud he committed and is a very sensible man, and Ajit post leap - who has managed to pick himself up and make a life for himself.

I agree with you, not much to write cos you people have said a lot. While everyone keeps blaming Archna- Manav, they are no less innocent. And the bashing about the PR is now getting quite irritable. Once it was okay, but everyday??? Its like they want to hide their own guilts of forcing Archana into the marriage.

The only person on this show who is still likeable is Satish. Archana Manav have made a lot of foolish decisions. However, that does not absolve anyone else of their mistakes too. The sisters are lost in their own lala land, and Mom and Dad are heaping their antiquated ideas on their daughter- he accepted you with your ateet and blah blah.
PS: Vidyasu, it is nice to read varying opinions. I really liked your last posts regarding the factory strikes thing. I hope you will start commenting again.

You're right, Satish is the only character remotely close to being 'normal' in this show. Varsha and Vaishu, don't even want to talk about them as it makes my blood boil, and mom and dad, especially Sulochana drive me insane. I hate her little pity cries 'He bhagwan! Ye kya ho gaya Archuuuuuu?'

AAAAHHHH!! *calm down Sere calm down*

Accepted with your ateet? EVERYONE has an ateet, and personally I would rather marry someone who was already divorced cuz they know the ins and outs of marriage and would value it more having lost it once.

Why Jaywant? Only because dharmesh chose that man and he agreed to marry Archu? how can sulochana still say 'jaywant ke sath archu khush rahegi wo ek achha pati saabit hoga etc' though she knows Archu hates that man because of the manav jail incidence..? If archu wants to stay alone, whats wrong with that?

NO woman NEEDS a man to live a happy successful life.

Having said that I am shocked Sulochana didn't go asking a million and a half people about Jaywant's character and stuff like she did Manav. Just because Dharmu recommended him does not mean he is the only man out there for Archu. She will go find herself a man that loves her when she's good and ready. I would go kill myself if I were in Archu's position.

You're right. Although, we didn't see what happened in that year so we can't judge, but I think the only reason its called a PAVITRA RISHTA is because they never consummated their marriage. That's it. It's like they're trying to say that they love each other despite not having slept together.

Having said that, I do think that their love for each other is pure and unselfish. Other people around them on the other hand think for no one but themselves.

Who's selfish now Sulochana?

Sorry guys if I keep going on and on and on about Sulochana, she just rubs me the wrong way😆

Vidyasu, it was a pleasure to go through your posts anytime I chance to see them.

Regarding this constant usurpation of the story's carriage by side characters with not miniscule contribution by the script writers, with their continuous demeaning of the main leads, has left hugely unsatisfactory plot. With the clumsiest hand they go on suspending a most irritating kind of 'grayness'- hijacking the tale to a fool's land. In the process, the leads are subjected to absurdness, subservience, tomfoolery and annoying artificiality in their scripts. Clear case of periphery at the cost of core

Are you a poet? Or a professional writer of some sort? Because the way you wrote that was absolutely beautiful 👏

You hit every nail on the head. Fabulous! And you used a lot fewer words than me.....😆

Quite rightly said. In fact this family has lost all meaning of having a good relationship with people who have always been kind and loving towards them. To be mean to a person who has done soo much for them and turning away from him when he needed them the most was the most cruel thing to do. Where is the humanity and sacrifice these parents had taught their children? Varsha is despicable and Vaishu is the worst kind of person I would want to associate with as sister.
It is quite amazing to see Satish being very concerned about the affairs of Manav more than this family.
Vinod is also very inconsiderate and how can he talk so rudely to a person who has brought so much meaning and reason for them to move.
Was it not Manav who helped to get Varsha out of her messy situation when she was involved with a married man? Was he not present at her wedding and helped her both financially and afterwards when she was going through a lot of problems bcos of her previous relationship with a married man? Was it not also he who stood by her at the time?
Vaishu also was helped by Manav even on the day of her wedding when they ran out of food and when there was no one to help them and saved them from the embarrassment?
Was he not divorced from Archu all along during these times? At that time they considered him to be their son and not even their son-in-law.
Even before getting married to Archu was it not he who saved their father from committing suicide and then agreed to marry Archu after knowing what a traumatic experience she went through with Ajith trying to defame her that led to the eventual breakup of Archu's proposed marriage to Satish?
Why can't creatives portray this family to be what they stand up for?

Once again, the one thing we all keep coming back to is how hypocritical everyone around ArMan is. They are all selfish. They loved him when he was useful, and discarded him when they had no use for him. Completely idiotic.

If I were Manav I would run away, far far away from all of these lunatics and live my life out with Shravani. Sure he doesn't love her, but at least everyone surrounding her is not full of drama. I think I would be able to tolerate Shravani's drama a lot better than everyone else's drama combined.

I actually like Shravani now, and Manju to an extent, because they are selfish and they admit it, whereas everyone else claim to be very unselfish but are the epitome of selfishness.😡
