KS, I dont disagree with you that Archana & Manav brought every misery in their lives all by themselves - with a lot of help from 'well meaning' relatives and frenemies. They have very little sympathy from me w.r.t that - however, I want them to get married because its clear its a codependent relationship that they are in and both will only be happy with each other. Period. Everyone else in their life in a romantic role is wasting their energies with them.
I am more interested in Dharmesh's actions today. It just sounds very curious. Lets take facts :
1. Your wife's sister and her ex hub are both your employees and you dont expect drama? Lets say he didnt know this when Archana was hired. he knew of it after - so why didnt he relocate her immediately?Taran if one looks at this calmly one sees that in real life , a divorced couple wud be so embarassed that they wud keep out of each others way instead of sparks flying . The employer wud not sense a danger as to the work atmosphere of his place being ruined . A bit embarassing , awkward , what ? Wud be the typical reaction . But later thought , especially after seeing Manavs good work , wud be What the hell ,its their personal mamla. Taran one expects mature adults to behave like adults..........he is 32 and she is 27 now . They r hardly teenagers Taran for Dharmu to worry so much . Besides Dharmu got married AFTER Archu joined and details of this so called GREAT HELPLESS DIVORCE THAT STILL HAD LOVE IN IT were supplied to him by vaishali AFTER MANAVS FIRST FIGHT WITH PRAKASH . Last 15 days have shown him constantly thinking of ARMAN and work atmosphere . He gave Manav a warning and asked him the reason MANAV DID NOT TELL HIM . Its really not Dharmus fault . He ultimately told Vaishu Im transferring ur sister to another unit [ Im sure Archu will object even to that } .He really tried his best to diffuse this situation . But Manav and Archna literally acted like teenagers in this factory .The eyelocks , the foo foo , standing with tiffin outside shopfloor canteen .......Taran divorced or not , tongues wud wag and even if Archu was UNMARRIED fun wud be poked at her , she has behaved in a most undignified and silly manner . She was even sobbing hysterically after scolding Manav . Manav was suddenly acting passionatye with that Sufi song playing in his head . He told Archu I will do it AGAIN and AGAIN . Frankly Taran , what did he expect if he bashed sumones head till he almost died on a wall ? That man bashed Manavs head till he almost died .........call it quits ! Had Manav told Dharmu that day itself situation wud be vastly different .As a matter of fact , it was HIDDEN from Dharmu , and when he understood , a lot of work discipline was already violated beyond repair . Not just that , Taran see the fight scene.........the workers were aNGRY with Manav . Most of them had sympathy for Prakash . Coz such crass comments r part and parcel of a workers life . They were zapped that he was almost beaten to death by Manav . Manavb literally had only Ajit on his side ..even Dinesh did not like it and chamchofied to Shravni .
2. When the first scuffle happened, as the owner of the company, Dharmesh should have investigated the roots or as a smart guy, put two and two together in the light of all the lectures of this so called pavitra rishta - even then it was not too late.
3. When the scuffle that broke the camel's back happened, Manav was reacting as Archana's husband - granted. However, the fact is - Dharmesh knew Manav and Archana still loved each other and obviously, if someone verbally insinuated a lot of rubbish abt Vaishali - I am sure Dharmesh would retaliate - immediately. Again, I am not condoning violence but what Prakash said to Manav was no less than him slapping him several times.Fine , take the fight outside na ! Tell him , meet me outside ! Why fight durin workhours in company premises ? Just see that Prakash .Sleazeball he may be , but he has better knowledge of work ethics than Manav ! He hit him outside ! Dharmu cud not fire him for that , he fired him ultimately for spreading rumors !
4. I agree what happened after that was not Dharmesh's fault. Manav kind of brought it on by engaging rough play with a ruffian. However, Manav was still his employee and nearly killed. If you dont show compassion when a man nearly died - what does that say about you as a person and when you are such a heartless person, how do you expect loyalty from the rest of the workers in your small business??Taran , Dharmu was not even informed that Manav was in hospital , he was informed AFTER he had been discharged . Hell , Archna was so busy playing WIFEY that even VANDU was not informed . What compassion will Dharmu show ? He hurriedly sacked Prakash ,. knowing that situation was volatile . He didnt cut any money from Manavs salary although Manav had NOT put in 3 days . Well I guess he cud give him more notice period , but As I see it , it meant giving Prakash notice period too and if they came face to face ..........what do u think will happen ? They have crossed civil lines and r circling each other like animals over a meaty bone . Who is it ?The Prom queen Teenager Archu . U think Dharmu shud have taken this risk ?I see it as he had no CHOICE left .
5. KS, the point is not about Manav at all - this act shows Dharmesh's character. If indeed he took a lot of time as you say, he should have consulted with legal counsel before taking any action. All small businesses do. I speak from experience coz I own one with my sister. In addition, again - firing people is not at all simple in both Indian and American legal system. Everyone who is on the list should be offered a plan to improve their status - a second chance, if you will. That much detail they wont show Taran . U know Cvs na. They went wrong in the notice period thing , I agree there totally .
My objection is in how everything is handled so lightly by the creatives. Balaji itself is an organisation - is this how they hire and fire people??
