It seems like none of the characters have moved forward in this "leap" or "second season" or whatever it was.
I see no change in Archana. Even her look is still pretty much the same, she just has more make-up on and a different style of sari blouse. It's not like the sari is even dramatically different, it's almost the same thing except she has longer sleeves and more muted colors. Her hair is in the same style that she wore in the first episodes of the show. This whole "new look" made her look five years older in my opinion - not to say that she doesn't look pretty, in fact I would even say she looked hot in the rain scene - I would have rather seen her in different colors and fabrics or even salwar kameez, just something exuding freshness and confidence. As far as mental state goes, she's still giving those creepy smiles when she talks about the Deshmukhs. She apparently still considers herself Manav's wife, even if she doesn't consciously do so, as she called Mumbai her sasuraal and Sachin's child her own. This "moving on" and "maturing" seems like a facade to me, I'm not buying it.
I didn't buy the rain scene either. It worked in the first month when they didn't know each other, but at this point it is unbelievable that Archana didn't recognize Manav's voice behind her (if not his whole body) and he didn't see her through his peripheral vision or recognize her back, he used to stare at it long enough.
The rest don't seem to have changed either, including other main characters like Manav and Savita. If anything, Manav looks a bit younger, otherwise this leap brings nothing new.
Although many seem to think otherwise, I'm quite sure Shravani married Manav. Even if not in the mandap where they left off on Friday, they could have done it in court, which means their marriage is 100% as legally legitimate as any religious ceremony. Also, Shravani is wearing a sari, the true sign of a married (or once married) woman on this show.
So much after this leap makes no sense, Archana's training, Varsha still being at maayka (and still wearing those multicolored saris), and all the other loose threads which many others mentioned. Nothing new, nothing fresh; I wouldn't expect much to change in just one year anyway. There seems to be no point to this leap aside from buying time to resolve all of the loose threads, now to be shown in flashback or not at all, and a lame attempt to keep viewer interest.

Also, I would not pay much attention to Ms. Dasgupta's comment anymore after reading this comment of hers: "someone cald me a bitch..... yes i have achived it...the biggest trademark of the industry......". Completely and utterly exudes experience and professionalism, doesn't it? 😆
