Hi Everyone! This is the first time I'm posting a topic on this forum. I used to love this show before the divorce, but hmm not so much anymore. I was just tired of all the divorce and depressing scenes, and wanted something happier for a change :) So I wrote a short One Shot about what I imagine Pavitra Rishta to be in 5 years....Enjoy!

Hamara Pyaar

Archana woke up at the crack of dawn, and quickly saying a small prayer, she got off the bed and went about her bedroom, opening the curtains to let the sun through. Her husband, who was still lying in bed, began to shift feeling the sun's warm rays on his face. Pulling the blanket over him and his two children, he muttered "Archana…close the curtains na, it's so sunny…"

She walked over to her husband, and pulled the blankets off of him. "You have to get up Manav. It's already 5:45 and the line outside has already started growing" she said, ruffling his hair. "As is, I have two little nautankis to take care of, don't you start acting like one too."

Manav, however, was feeling even lazier than usual on that morning, and quickly grabbing Archana by the wrist, he pulled her into bed, causing her to fall on top of him. The love they shared was still intact, even after facing all those hurdles and obstacles. She gazed into her husband's chocolate brown eyes, her hand slowly going to cup the side of his cheek, but before she could do so, she heard her little daughter beginning to move around in bed. Archana quickly went to her daughter's side, softly lulling her to sleep, as she lay on the bed beside her. When she looked up, she saw Manav staring at her, a soft smile on his face, as he gazed at his two most favorite girls.

"Uthiye na Manav. It's so late…" said Archana shyly, as her cheeks began to grow red with embarrassment so early in the morning.

Manav finally decided to get up, but not before he looked at his wife with a naughty smile and said "Hai hai. My wife is still so shy, after five years of marriage!" He quickly left though, seeing that Archana was also ready to scold him that morning for running so late.

***********

40 minutes later….

Archana ran around their tiny home behind her two small children, Ankita and Aditya. As she entered the bedroom she bumped into her husband, who quickly caught her by the waist and stopped her from falling down. Panting, she looed at him "Manav. Can you get the two little nautankis? They have to take a bath, but they keep running away from me."

Manav chuckled at his wife, seeing her state in the morning, her hair messed up, her sari wrinkled and exhaustion clearly apparent. "Han han. I'll get the Adi and Ankita and then I'll leave for work…"

Archana smiled at him gratefully, before replying "Han Manav. Aur aaj sham ko jaldi aaja kyunki Ajit aur Vandu are coming for dinner, remember?"

"Haan, I'll do that" replied Manav with a smile, as he thought of his sister and her husband, whose relationship had recently reached the next level. They had returned from their honeymoon last week, and were eager to visit the Deshmukh family, and specifically Ankita and Aditya, whom the two adored.

"Toh tikha….main chalti hoon" Manav finally said, after he dropped his two screaming kids off with Archana.

"Be careful" she replied, flashing a bright smile on her face, as she waved goodbye to him along with her two little kids.

Turning to her two children- actually Ankita was Sravani and Sachin's daughter, but after she had passed away during childbirth, Manav and Archana had gotten remarried and decided to raise her as their own, showering her with all the love and affection in the world. "Both of you. Stop screaming. Why is it that you don't act like this around your Papa?" she questioned, exasperation in her voice as she looked at her children splashing in the water and screaming, refusing to listen to her….

Savita Aai came running in. "Are Archana. Mere pota poti ko mat daant. Yeh dono toh mere pyaare bacche hain, haina?" she questioned, a sweet smile forming on her face.

Archana shook her head, looking at her kids giggling at their grandma's words. "Ab aap hi in dono ko sambhale. Main to kitchen mein kaam karne jaraha hoon. Yeh dono to mere baat kabhi sunte hi nahin"

Savita Aai, Ankita and Aditya all laughed hearing Archana walk away. From the balcony, Kaka and Baba looked at each other as they heard all this laughing "Finally Bappa heeded our prayers and gave us our family back" they thought to themselves.

***********

Later on that night……

Archana stepped into their bedroom, a cup of milk in her hand, to see her husband softly singing a lullaby as he put their kids to sleep. Seeing this, she placed the milk on the table stand, and went to stand by the window, where the full moon was shining in all its glory. A while later, she felt two hands on her shoulders, which she knew belonged to her husband, as only his touch was the one that would send shivers down her spine and butterflies in her stomach.
Turning around slowly, she placed her head on his chest, as he pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Manav…" she said softly, breaking the comfortable silence that had formed between the two of them.

"Hmm?" he questioned, his eyes closed. "What are you thinking about, Archana?"

"Hamara rishta. Our journey. We've dealt with so much, na Manav? With Sachin's death, Ajit, Vandu's marriage, Baba's health, Sravani's pregnancy, and sigh so much more…" she stated, her voice growing distant as she thought of the obstacles they had faced since they had married.

"But haven't we had a lot more good memories Archana? Our marriage, our two kids, Savita Aai's acceptance, Vandu's pregnancy, and more?" he questioned, placing a soft kiss on her forehead and her two eyelids.

"Manav…" said Archana, as she slowly opened her eyes to look at her husband. "Ek aur khushi ki baat hain" she stated, as she took his hand and gently placed it on her stomach.

Manav's eyes grew wide in surprise as he realized what his wife was trying to say. "Sach? Kab? Who else knows?" he questioned, his eyes shining with brightness as he quickly gave his wife a peck on the lips.

"I found out just today, when me and Aai went to the market and Aai took me to the doctors for fainting yesterday. It's been one month…" she replied shyly.

"Oh Archana. I'm so happy. Ek aur bacha. Ankita, Aditya aur ek aur nishaani hamari pyaar ka" he said, before he pulled her in for a hug. Yes. Life was now good to them. Happiness was at every turn.

That was excellent Naina! Wow... 3-3 kids!!! I loved the part where the kids are troubling Archana- so cute of them and so mean of me!!!

Its surprising but Ankita and Aditya- both are the names of my cousins, one from father's side, one from mother's side.

Seeing two names from A, should the name of the third kid be with an A or an M? If we go with M, the child might be the odd one out since others have names beginning with A. But if we have a name with A, Manav will feel left out since he won't be part of A group that his wife and kids will be.

Hehehe... planning for baby names is so much fun!!!
