He does think yaar, unfortunately his actions are not that strong everytime. Just remember how he shouted at his Aai when she called Archana bhikhari... at that time he had decided that he will behave in a way that Archana would hate him... but could he stop himself that day? NO!!!

Your words have got me thinking...Initially I thot he was saying just for his mother..who was so insistent upon Shravani n him sitting together.

Manav is confusing me a lot,I failed to understand how can a spiritual boy hav such suggestions....but on the other hand if he holds his commitment for shravani n in a bid not to use Archu as a replacement,he suggested it...I agree he's not wrong

That is Manav's speciality Gauri, and also what sets him apart from other heroes. To him traditions and rules are important, but more important than that are people, their respect and their feelings. In the beginning days of the serial, he was never sad that Archana was marrying Satish, he was happy for her. When he came to know that Archana wanted to marry Satish, he threw his own 'Pavitra Rishta' in the dustbin for her happiness- the same 'pavitra rishta' about which he had said big big things about agni and sindoor and bappa etc.

Today again, he almost did the same thing. He knew it was wrong of him and he had NO right to sit with Archu in the pooja after getting engaged to shravani in front of her eyes... it would be unfair to her to use her like a replacement or a second choice, it was disrespectful... extremely disrespectful. Also it wud be unfair to shravani (although i dont really think he was thinking of her at that time) so for the sake of the self respect of both ladies he says we will wait for shravani and so agrees to do the paap of sitting in satyanarayan puja with a girl who is not his wife. In return he gets humiliation from all corners and anger from his fans.😉

He is spiritual but he is not a hardcore religious fanatic. God lies in the heart and in other people, right?😃

But , he should have said no to the puja and sitting with Shravani when his mother suggested initially as it was another humiliating and painful experience for Archana .

he does not care about Archana's pain whatso ever ...

Manav if so frustrated now that he hardly cares what is going around him. Jo karna karo aur khatam karo is his viewoint. This was shown in steps- in the sindoor scene he was humiliated and guilty, in the engagement he was disinterested and looking tortured and shouted at his Aai two times and even taunted his Aai saying if this marriage is not wrong then why not accept it in front of others?

And for the Satyanarayan puja, he is so fed up of all this nautanki that does not even protest, instead he says- jo karna hai karo. In any case he knows his Aai will put pressure on him, like she did for sindoor scene and engagement, despite his saying the divorce hasn't come through. So do the nautanki quietly and get over with it is his viewpoint, at least ghar mein shanti to rahegi. And humiliating and painful experiences for Archana have already got over.. these are only repercussions of the same.

If Shravani dies in childbirth, and Manav decides to get back to Archana, then it will be Archu being Shravani's replacement. And the creatives will get rotten apples and tomatoes from me.

But if Manav decides, no, enough is enough, my wife loves me, I love my wife then why should we suffer coz of others mistakes, I will not do injustice to her for anyone else's sake, makes Archu his priority over Shravani, his aai, his family, his responsibility, his respect in society, get ready to accept abuses from everyone who calls him selfish, shameless etc... all this to do justice to his wife... that too while Shravani is still living and hale and hearty, then I really don't see how it could be a replacement business. Everyone knows he still loves Archu very much. It won't be replacement.. it will rather be a case of him accepting his very real, yet repressed feelings in public and choosing her over shravani and wishing for her to come back and leving the decision to her.

Archu being a replacement case would be a different business- Shravani dies and manav wants her back- Archu's self respect goes to shreds- jab chaha wapas bula liya. But if Shravani is hale and hearty, Manav goes through a great deal of embarssment and aloofness from his family and society to stand up for Archana- that too by apologizing for his decision of marrying Shravani and saying that I leave the decision upto you, it would give a lot of respect to Archana's character which wud be completely fair. It was Manav's decision to walk out, so it shud be Archu's decision to come or nt to come back.
