What defines Mother’s responsiblities ?

Yes that’s my question.What defines a Mother’s responsibility?

I can see clearly that lot of people over here are so unsatisfied with Babita as a whole.Ok now just let’s stick to Babita as a Mother and Mother in general.

A Mother has to sacrifice her whole life dedicating to her family her daughter.But that will be categorized as her faking to keep up expectations with society.Definitely those who thinks so have either not watched the show from start ,or don’t understand the language, or haven’t understood the character at all.

Ok now if she does fulfill all the responsibilities, will she get some appreciation?,NO! .Because now it comes down to why she did fulfill it,she should have left those who have illtreated.

Now if she really does that ,again the blame is on her.

Ok.Now let’s come to the Mother in Babita.What more is she supposed to do?Embraced her ex in laws even for her daughter after being evil.YES THEY WERE EVIL!.Those who can’t find any evilness in them then I’m sorry either you haven’t watched the show in it’s initial phase or you just want to support MINI by hook or crook.

Forgave her EVIL dad just for her daughter.

Married HS for her daughter (ofcourse they were in love but it was also so that Mini gets the father she loves.) A mother who always waited for MINI’s approval in the relationship.BUT still she’s selfish centered and what not.If she keeps up the expectations of MINI then other side would say she doesn’t love HS blah blah.

Is it only her responsibility to keep up relations with both?.Isn’t it a responsibility of everyone?

When Babita takes decisions for Mini she’s selfish,self centred and should let go MINI as she’s an adult.

But I’m sorry to say,this is India we value family more.We value atleast our parents opinion.We value their emotions and ambitions as much ours.There may be 100’s of parents who may not want to be away from their children,now if u call it selfish or whatever but that is it.THIS IS NOT US/UK.Mini could have atlst tried convincing her MOM, everyone does that.How can she leave her on a bitter note.

If NB can tell Babita that’s it’s her house she will decide who should come then why can’t BABITA do the same?.If Mini was in BABITA’s place some of you who are blaming Babita here would have supported Mini blindly.

Why is always BABITA is the one to be blamed ?.It’s everyone’s responsibility to keep good relations with her.She’s a human being too sometimes even she can’t tolerate ,sometimes even she let her emotions out.

On one hand say MINI is an adult who can take decisions on her own and Babita shouldn’t interfere and on the other hand make Babita and Hanuman bad parents for not sending across money or whatever.IF MINI is an adult and if she’s taking decisions against her Mom’s n if she’s so adamant of it, didn’t she find a way to earn money?.Even after going to Australia she can enroll in a part time job.So how these things make Hanita bad parents or Babita a bad mother.

But yeah Mini is all perfect!

Her decision to leave is correct,her decision to not look back is correct only one to be blamed is BABITA.

Sorry to say but this is absolute hypocrisy and double standards.

Thankfully i can see atlst some who can understand BABITA.Thank goodness!

P.S: It’s sad to see this forum is so unwelcoming( Go and look at other FORUMS) .All have right to post whatever one wants.You all have been very critical about one or the other character at some point of time,you were and are attacking people personally even when the member posts stuffs about the character Mini.Whether or not someone likes S2 he/she has every right to post views.This is an open forum NOBODY HAS ANY RIGHT TO SHOO ANYONE AWAY or threaten anyone.Everyone is educated and literate enough to read Forum rules.Don’t behave as if this forum only belongs to certain gang of people.

Are you actually trying to say that people outside of India value family LESS? This is untrue and really ignorant. There is no right or wrong, it’s all about perspective and some see things from the perspective of a parent and some from the perspective of the kid.

Do you want to know what babita is meant to do about the evil in-laws? She’s meant to continue hating them if she chooses to but not try to influence the opinion of her daughter (the very same thing she doesn’t want the in laws doing). It is possible for mini to have a relationship with her paternal grandparents where babita is not involved. And let’s not forget here that shortly after her wedding she apologised to same said evil in laws and it was totally ok for mini to be apart of their lives during this time.

I don’t recall anyone ever saying that mini is perfect however we are comparing a 30 something year old woman to an 18 year old and expecting the same maturity and level of decision making from the two of them. It’s ridiculous.

Babitas character is the victim of the writers that chose to change her from a loving understanding mum to a selfish one. She’s not the character we were introduced to, she’s the character that was turned into.

A parents job is to raise a kid and prepare them for life. Just because parents don’t want to be away from their kids doesn’t mean that kids should stay with them to relieve their separation anxiety. Everyone’s lives are their own.

Btw I’m a fairly new member and I’ve never felt the forum be unwelcome in any way, in fact quite the opposite- people are really warm and friendly on here and that’s one of things that keeps me coming back. Let’s not forget we are discussing a fictional tv show and we all have different points of view and perspective based on our own personal experiences. We are allowed to disagree because people aren’t the same. I’ve never personally seen someone be abused for their opinion

Sorry to say But this forum is always biased ness for particular character. It's not new there are barely ppl who understand Babitas Pov.
Now let's talk about Babita's ego issue. Whn she asked hs for apology everyone in this forum bashed her right, left, center 🙄 And it's just amused me how could most of the women bashed her! Being a women thy couldn't understand her pov. Thy are soo blind in love with Hs tht thy forget All his deeds. Thy are unable to see tht Hs called her characterless and wht not. Thn how could she stay in tht house! And blv tht person! But ppl here bashed her for leaving him n not blving him🙄. She was called egoistic, self indulgent what not still she was the one who proposed Hs and accept him with his imartis love 🙄 n blah blah blah. Here I find Hs the most egoistic he could accused her character but can't say sorry!! How could u say he was the perfect character thn! Its always amused me tht here ppl bashed Babita for lame reasons😳 where she was not to be bashed thy bashed her and bcoz of their blind love thy can't see other characters flaws. 'Rolls eyes'.

My take on Babitha as a mother & woman . I am not saying she is perfect but definitly not dark as many think. Solely my opinion.

Babitha is a beautiful character introduced by the writers promising women empowerment. This very fact most of us started watching the show. V all were under the impressionshe is the actual Babes and it is her journey. But unfortunately after 150 episodes v are given a msg it is Minis journey & how she struggles /solves everyones problems which turned out most unrealistic. Some cannot connect to Babitha but I cannot connect to the teenager Mini.

For me Babitha is the most simple person who wanted a proper family &happy life. But unfortunately in every stage of her life some or the other played crucial role to put her moral down & finally blamed her for others wrong doing. Her goodness & innocent love was taken for granted. First Ashok cheated &fooled for17 yrs & then attacked her character during divorce. At this stage her self respect was portrayed as ego by CVs for not taking alimony. Even her inlaws whom she served selflessly did not support her. Mini helped her by voicing wrong doings on her mother but here I want to mention the upbringing of Mini to be a bold & righteous person is by Babitha single handedly. But it is never spoken or noted. Babitha did all type of jobs for survival so that her daughter could study. But even Mini at times never understood a woman inside her mother. She too felt her mother is a fool for not taking alimony. Then came HS as a good friend to Babitha guided her in many ways & in process both felt attracted. But here again Babithas first condition was Minis approval. She wanted a loving father for Mini but she was misunderstood by saying she does not love HS. Here we need to understand a mothers instinct played the role. Even when HS attacked her character & when she asked an apology everyone including Mini blamed her for being egoistic & selfish So when a woman speaks up she is blamed. When she did not speak during Ashoks incident again Babitha was blamed.

She married HS because of her love plus the bond which she saw between HS &Mini. But after marriage when HS tells her Mini was only a bahana & he just wanted Babitha because he loved her she gets a shock & qtns him as a mother to Mini but was again blamed. Whereas HS became a successful feminist by CVs inspite telling mini was a bahana /attacking Babithas character / promising Mini he will leave Babitha when Mini throws tantrums during hospital for incident. ( till season 1 end Babes is neither aware of the recorded msg of HS / Mini fighting with him / his promise to Mini ) Neither HS nor Mini spoke to her. If we feel HS has helped Babes a lot which i agree even she has helped him in her own way but again only she is portrayed wrong.

Mini helped her mother in her life but in the process started thinking she is above everyone. For her Babitha is an emotional fool & a full time project which she will complete it successfully by hook or crook. After marriage when Babitha wanted to spend some time with HS which she lacked with Ashok she was blamed by Mini & Nayembi saying she has become selfish / she does not care Mini & bussiness. Mini always forced Babitha to speak but at the same time controlled Babitha according to situations which best suited her favour. Babitha did not say much as she felt her daughter lacked fathers love so let me allow her to control. For Minis sake she forgives Meeta /Sr Khuranas in many stages killing her woman instinct. Here she priortised Minis happiness as Mini wanted to keep in touch with her ex in-laws. But no one noticed. Mini wanted Babitha to speak only as per her wish. Babitha wanted to take a break in bussiness as she did not want to fail in this marriage. It is a womens instinct. But again misunderstood by Mini & went in to extent of controlling her mother in surname issue. A woman needs to be carrier oriented at the same time as human v need to hv relations too. That is what Babitha was trying to work out but no one had time or patience to understand her. Mini just wanted Babitha to be bussiness woman & got her married to show the society that a daughter has done revolution. Mini loves her mother but has become too much of a obession.

Babitha blaming Mini as Meeta. It was wrong. I agree. But was Mini open enough to discuss about her relation with Mickey to her ? No. As a mother she was worried Mini should not fall prey as Preet making Mic to stay in Minis house without anyones knowledge is totally wrong. Also v know Mickey is not a saint. But why all these are not questioned? Only Babithas one sentence is scrutinised. This is just 1 incident. The letter issue here even HS was to be blamed by hiding it to Mini. But one single action Babitha burning it is scrutinised. It was just a mothers insecurity. As such she knew things going wrong in her life. So was scared that Ashok too influence Mini. But anyways as usual only Babitha is wrong.

Nayembi who used to be a loving person in Babithas life before marriage turned out to be a typical villan in her life. HS gave her a place of mother but just because Babitha wanted to spend time with HS leaving bussiness she instigated Mini & put Babitha down. Mini got carried away and was shown doing all unrealistic things in bussiness & Babitha was blamed. Nayembis influence in Minis life went to such an extent she hided from her mom going to Australia till end. But still Nayembi is a wise lady by CVs

Which child is allowed to behave so arrogantly and keep names to her mother in our society ? But when Mini did all this she was praised as Ms.Righteous.very strange. Whereas Babithas character was portrayed as a fool suddenly to such an extent Mini became the victim. In all this what happened to the wrong doings done to Babitha from everyone in her life at various stages/ her swalloing of all the poison / woman instinct being killed /making Mini away from her by some. Also all her doings to Mini as a mother is so underrated. Whereas Minis every activity after Babithas marriage is justified & portrayed as mahan which is totally unrealistic to me. Babitha blamed as she did not mend relation with Mini but why no questions to Mini about her ego of not opening up to her mother? It cannot be expected always a mother needs to sacrifice for her child. It should be both ways & that is called family. If Mini has helped her mother even Babitha also did lot of things to Mini.

But CVs portrayal of Babithas every doing as wrong has only given a bad taste to me & as a woman I object it. Mini a loving girl in the beginning turned out to be more arrogant & I am Ms. Always Right with whom I cannot connect.

@jojaparijat i agree with u that Babithas character has less supporters in this forum. I think as Babitha the most misunderstood character even her supporters are misunderstood. But anyhow it is an open forum & all hv right to voice their opinion &support their liking towards characters. I am very angry on CVs for making Babithas character to make many hate her. 😪

They ended Season 1 so abruptly without showing Babithas journey or showing her feelings as a mother & woman.

Agree with ur opinion, babita is not totally wrong. I am also connected to the babita's character most in this show and we can't also neglect how makers ruined her character.

the particular member you are taking about has posted personal stuff about the actors too. indicating in every post that it was a actors yes to season 2 that forced the other actors out. And all have been very patient with the member here. The member itself starts quoting and stars mocking/questioning other views here instead of stating her views. And this forum is a lot more open and welcoming than other forums.

firstly HS character has the maximum support here. then it is babita . then naim bi , bobby and then mini. Because Mini is something that a normal daughter never is, according to indian standards.
