Dear PB Writer and Director:

I used to look forward to watching PB....finally a story about single mothers - ------.....................don't get me wrong - I still watch PB - just to see what stupidity is going to be shown now...............

I used to watch it with awe - like finally somebody captured it right..............and then - all dreams/hopes shattered - total disillusion!

I understand and don't want to discuss HANITA leaving..............but guys come on - which 4.5 year old child talks like ARYA? I know lately the episodes have been written by someone with a very low IQ - but seriously??

Don't you even do research on the characters that you are showing? and yesterday's stupidity - ARYA is talking about boyfriend (when Minnie was caressing her scootie and crying) - a 4.5 year old knows the emotions involved when you have a BF? PHENKO - MAGAR ITNA BHI NAHIN - KI HAZAM HI NA HO - please - it is a request.

Kids these days are far more advanced than they used to be, especially with being introduced to technology from like a year old. Here in the uk kids start pre school from 2.5 years - 3 years depending on the school. the school curriculum has also advanced so much around the world that in most countries by age 5 kids are being introduced to sex education and learning about their bodies. So it’s not really that far fetched. Children today are the most mature than previous generations.

Learning about their bodies, yes, but sex education? Really? What schools are teaching five year olds about sex ed??

Yes i agree with deefy..I live in usa children r aryas age learn so many mature matters in the pre and kindergarten..and that age they develop some funny attitude like arya ..in this soap she is orphan she understands, she cant explain her inner feelings to any one yet ,above all she didn't cry yet which she needs to thus she is showing her sadness towards mini as rude, she feels jealous that her dad use to talk abt mini a lot ..only things I don't like in her personality that she follows dimwit babita s few things which is irritating such as log kiya kahenge? Dialogue at this age its little too much to watch ..but same here children follow their mom most of the time..Hope cvs never end up her character exactly like that dimwit babitas personality....which will be again irritating

I am so glad that here in the USA - we preserve the child's innocence - and sex education is taught at a very late age and not at 5 years.....

I am a mother, an aunt, an elder sister and a pretty social person. Please believe me when I tell you that in the USA, no 4.5 year old speaks like Arya. No 4.5 year is in competition with another person and uses words like "hate" - that's a pretty strong word! No 4.5 year old can say long lines verbatim - what their parents had said to them - no 4.5 year old understands DEATH.........

all i want to convey is that certain things are hard to digest - when you know that is not the "norm" - that's all.

You must not pay attention to the news. Months ago the UN set out some guidelines as to the type of curriculum countries should set out for education. Sex education is to be taught in primary school starting from 5 Altho at age 5 they’re only learning about their bodies and relationships (including homosexuality). By 7 they are taught masturbation etc etc. It’s because of the internet, the information they have access to and learning to be safe that the guideline was suggested and most countries have agreed. They argue it even stops kids being silent about sexual abuse or learning the incorrect thing from the internet and friends. It’s already being rolled out in first world countries and even some African countries have adopted it. I don’t see india not doing the same.

Leaving that aside, seeing how aryas nanny speaks to her, she could have easily heard the world bf from her or watched on a serial with her or picked it up from someone at school or some adult speaking to another adult.

Kids know more than they let on

It’s about to change hun and it’s really scary because the only way around it is to homeschool a kid. And even if you homeschool if you don’t do it as per the curriculum set out by the department of education, the kid will struggle for future options. It’s sending conservative / religious parents into uproar. I myself don’t agree with it and believe it should be taught in the home but it’s because parents aren’t doing so and kids are learning the wrong things from online sources for eg. It’s giving governments the power to teach this in school.

In Canada, there was a motion made to the education system where kids in the first grade were to be taught various elements pertaining to the human body. However, many parents protested against this and even went as far as pulling their children out of classes. Needless to say, another revision was implemented.

Learning about one's body and sexuality is important but five years is far too young for such matters. Safety tips such as speaking up if you are being touched sexually against your will is very important and useful for children. But for them to learn about sex itself - no!

In regards to Arya, she can pick up on romantic relationships from any media source. Shows, movies, even music videos and songs are predominantly occupied with love than anything else.

Thank you everyone. Seems like I have been living a very sheltered life and so are my kids. I stand corrected - thank you once again.

I very much agree with you here and sadly it’s been failings by parents that have lead to the state stepping in. Here in the uk when it was introduced in one school alongside teaching that gay and lesbian relationships are a choice, when parents protested, because most of them were ethnic and muslim the press spun it as a Muslim vs west thing. Needles to say nothing has changed and kids in primary school are still being taught that u can choose to be gay/ straight or male or female. Some schools have stopped using he/she and instead use they/their. There are also shared toilets within some schools. The sex Ed thing is very much a more recent thing however they’re selling it as “education is better than ignorance” and you’d rather have your kid learn about their own bodies than them learn it online. Pls don’t mistake when I say sex education that I mean intercourse coz intercourse isn’t taught until primary school. At 5 they are taught about their bodies and bodies of the opposite sex. Also on ppl violating same said bodies and the right thing to do when that happens.

I don’t have kids of my own yet and it’s made me really fearful about having any- what with how little control parents have about what they’re fed.
