(I'm actually a silent reader of this PB forum and having been watching the show since release for Pariddhi Sharma- Jodha Akbar was the first show I watched and loved. I love reading the 'Ajao Sarey' thread and all the discussions here)
So, by now, most of us know the heartbreaking, bitter-sweet news of the farewell our sweet Hanita. The world feels empty and we are actually just very hurt and upset that excellent actors like Pariddhi and Aniruddh were mistreated and Mini's bond with Babes her Hanuman uncle was tampered with. Finding a good show on here is very difficult (or so I've heard from the experienced members here), and even a show like PB is going down the drain.
Actually, I don't watch many shows but along with PB, I was following this show called "Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga". I don't want to spoil anything for you but when I got to know about Pari and Ani leaving this show, I was literally crying my heart out. BUT, just them Aladdin dropped one of the BEST episodes I've seen (the track right now is absolutely fire), which made my day 1000 times better.
For those who are heartbroken, you can try watching this marvellous show. NONE of the characters are butchered and the show is doing extremely well. It has reached 310 episodes right now. Let me give you a few observations (good and bad) of mine:
- So this is like the movie Aladdin but in Indian/Muslim style (JA fans will love it). They live in a city called Baghdad with Yasmine the princess and Aladdin, a cute thief (who steals her heart lol sorry bad pun)
- The main pair here is #Alasmine, with Yasmine, as Avneet Kaur and Aladdin as Siddhart Nigam. For those who don't know them, their chemistry on-screen is really hot. They're off-screen best friends and recently on Avneet's birthday, I saw a video that confirmed their off-screen relationship (#Sidneet)- SO you get to watch this knowing they are a real-life couple
- The female lead is a warrior princess which is amazing, she is a great ruler who receives A LOT of support from her father and she stands up for herself and her kingdom NO MATTER WHAT
- Aladdin is a heartthrob. I know after Hanuman Singh's innocent cuteness, it's difficult to find solace, but give Aladdin a try, he will make you melt
- Their friendship/romance in the show is AMAZING, no complaints. Here, in PB, we wanted to see Hanita communicate and communication is what Alasmine do. Yes, there may be misunderstandings but they sort it out so well, it's very fresh and surprising
- OTHER CAST IS FABULOUS. So it's obvious that we'll have Zafar aka Jafar. Actor- Amir Dalvi and he is one of the finest actors. He makes you wanna root for himself at times, he is so beautifully evil, it's fantastic. With him, the Genies are excellent as well. The comic characters give you a laugh, it's great!!
- ALL (obviously except for the evil ones) GO THROUGH TREMENDOUS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT- this is very important cause the reverse arch of Babita being so independent with 'Patiala Babes' to with dukhari mahila made me upset
- You get tons of #Sidneet moments on insta and in interviews, they are adorable
BUT
- The VFX falters at times. That's not very significant because the cinematography is classic and breathtaking, especially during #Alasmine scenes
- This can be a drag for some, but since 310 episodes are already out, you can skip whatever you want when watching it from sonyliv website
- IT'S NOT A SAAS BAHU DRAMA. It is a royal tale. If you want something like PB, with husband-wife/ in-law stuff, you won't find it. Siddhart and Avneet have just turned adults so no in-laws yet lol. It is a mystery/action/romance thing
THE CURRENT TRACK GOING ON IS ON OF THE BEST TRACKS IN HISTORY so please, quickly binge-watch all of the episodes to catch up to this track. Give it a try, I'm sure it won't disappoint you.

How I found Aladdin?
After Jodha Akbar, I longed for Akdha, especially wanted to see Rajat Tokas. Followed him in Chandra Nandini, another GREAT historical romance drama. Avneet, was in a negative role and I shipped her and Siddhart instantly but the storyline didn't :( Suddenly after CN ended, we were gifted with Aladdin just before PB started!!
So, this is my first post. Sorry it's so long, but this forum has given me so much so if I can help even one person, I will be elated!!! As PB audience, I love this show and it helped me get over my PB emptiness. I'm currently watching it, so if anyone wants to fangirl, hit me up :) Please let me know your thoughts and if you would give Aladdin a try, I promise you won't regret it. I'm sorry if I could cover everything but these were the main turn-ons for me at least. Thanks for reading.
