All characters need good foils to be compelling.....without HS and Babita, what will be Mini's journey?

They will try to spin her as some kind of damaged kid who is "surviving" after the endless tragedies in her life? Yeah, I'm not sure how that will work.

The only reason I was sitting through the twists and turns was with the general feel that ultimately this family will overcome all odds and build something together.

Babita mini always have been one sided for me since beginning except for some instances in between. I felt it was HS who somewhat bought out the balance in them because he could be to mini what babita couldnt. But with HS out of the picture not much bothered with minis life i feel that has become one sided again.

I still don’t understand why they did such a grand marriage track and then used it to drag the characters down to the very cliches they spent 200 epis rising above 🙄. If it was just going to come down to the stereotypes, why so much gyaan for so long about “empowerment”?

If all it was going to come down to was - oh, all women default to the holes they are comfortable in, a child will always be an awkward third wheel in a second marriage 🙄, and dil se bane rishte never last once shaadi happens, then why bother spending so much money?

Should have just shown a quick simple marriage and then shown that all the characters will amount to this only and the end with a note about how “real” the ending was 🙄🙄

Bold- as much I don’t like that they’ve made is all about this, I kinda see what they were getting at cos it’s a very real issue faced in blended families, at least here in the uk it is and very often it sends kids off the rails. However, like with everything else, this could of been better portrayed and not made the ENTIRE show about this. They could have shown this pre marriage, when babita started spending more time together (I know there’s a limit on what they can show but for eg the ice cream scene comes to min)

I also don’t know the point of such a grand wedding for there to be such negativity in this marriage. It’s just a figure of speech but the writers should be shot for ruining things 😆 I will be really sad to not see hs if I’m honest

Mini is also about the other relations which she has with on the show. The main these of the show is mother daughter relationship but for me this relation was always one sided. Babita was never up to the level of understanding with mini to have such a emotional bond with her. Mini would always need someone in her life to give her emotional stability which babita cant provide. this is apparent in the way babita has behaved before and is behaving these days. I felt HS was such a person. The only time i saw mini -babita in an equal relation was when HS was involved between them before marriage and used to equally support mini & babita. But in their bid to make babita -mini relation the main focus of the story they failed with HS mini. So mini will only think of babita and babita will will be dependent on mini always. In their bid to give only mini-Babita importance the makers have failed to integrate other relationships with them. So suddenly HS dosent think of mini and Babita HS relation has become superficial with no deep understanding between them.

They have certainly cheapened the bond between them by making it seem like he used her to get to babita even tho just before the wedding hs said he will never get married without mini’s blessing cos she’s more important. It’s so strange how they just change things/characters to suit the currently storyline. It’s like a mix of different short stories based on 3 characters and has so little continuity

i actually thought minis going to study would have come up at one time in the show and the show would require a leap to show her finishing her studies and coming back. The issue i thought would be about ashnoor playing a 23 year old something so she might have to be replaced. But yaha to makers ne Paridhi, AD ko hi replace kar diya where as it would have been easier with them in the leap

WORD. I completely agree. Yes, there was a lot of love between mother and daughter but HS brought balance into their lives at a crucial point....helped them communicate when they struggled.

He was the balancing factor that breathed life into this show. Without him, I’m also not interested in watching skewed relations ka melodrama again 🤷‍♀️🙄

And I don’t know why shows don’t want to show family overcoming odds. Who says family has to be perfect? But why can’t they still show the importance of building family together through genuine emotions? That it’s about continuing to hold on in the face of odds? To never lose that love for each other?

There is so much broken in this world anyways. Why is it so hard to give one message of positivity and upliftment? No one is asking for there to be some perfect “happily ever after”, but why just tear them apart too? Why can’t they last?

Yeah but the story still had a lot to show before Mini going away to college. Even if she went away, they could do a short leap and keep showing her visiting for her holidays.

They are instead choosing to rush into a baby for HB and ageing them for that and I don’t blame AD and PS for refusing to go along with that.

And if the season was meant to end with the shaadi only, then why bother evolving the other bonds in the show beyond Babita and Mini....why bother with showing HS-Mini having that lovely bonding of it was just meant to end in Mini being like, I don’t need any of you, I’m taking off to “survive” 🙄

Kya faltu twist hai. It does not have any connection with what was built up for so long. Bas contrived hi hai.

Mini will likely be butchered to make way for the leap as well....if HS has been butchered in not thinking much of Mini these days, same is the case with her since she never thinks of anything much beyond her Babes. Soon that will end too if Babes ka character is ending 🤷‍♀️.....so kahaan raha the basic essence of these relationships?

I don’t think HB ka relationship is strong enough to survive on its own. As you said, superficiality pe chal raha hai.

You’ve nailed it when you say the makers never figured out how to make space for other equations alongside Mini and Babita. In the long term, that left the other equations on a superficial level and ultimately hollowed out Mini Babita too 🤷‍♀️

So this was a tragic story all along...Bas hum hi nahin samjhe 🙄

I think if the integrity of Babes and HS characters had been kept intact then the actors would not have thought about quitting post leap

My hunch is that both were upset and probably approached the PH..rather than work with the actors they axed their roles

They used Babes character to illustrate how stupid and clueless the writers and PH really are

HS was one of the best ML on tv ! The modern feminist. Yes he had his flaws but in the first 200 episodes his character was so real and passionate

Exactly! If both Paridhi and Aniruddh had any scope to perform in their respective characters post leap, they wouldn’t have quit.

My guess is the same. They voiced it to PH and they decided to ax their characters. Same thing happened with Hunar too. They are the most egoistic production house. They can’t take criticism at all.

This show will shut down in no time.
