If it's a mark of respect that's ok, but if it's some age-old suppression of women due to traditions, that's what is objectionable. I don't think Chachi is like that but let's see.

I personally don’t see a big issue with Chachi not approving Mini’s clothes.

This is old generation from village we are talking about. My parents had no issue but whenever we visited village, I would always wear salwar kurta.
If some oldies have rigid views about gender equality, about patriarchy, I put and effort to make them see the bigger picture but for clothes — naah why waste time and energy. It’s not important in big scheme of things. You just have to wear salwar kurta for 2-3 days. Make an adjustment yar. Kyu dimag kharab karna over it. It’s not like it’s gonna affect Mini everyday. It’s just a matter of few days.

And personally I have seen so many people wearing modernest clothes and have such narrow minded rigid thinking. So for me clothes do not define forward or backward thinking.

Anyways for other things, if Chachi is so important, shadi mein na bulaya? Lol. ITV mein important log kabhi bhi nikal aate hai. 😆

Chachi be fun. I want her to push Babes to consider PB seriously.

Pehli baar milte waqt pallu le liya so it's okay. Even if Chachi likes Babita in pallu it's okay. I don't think koi suppression ki baat hai idhar. Nahji. It's just customs that people like, bass.
