HS is the most recent casualty. So for me, it’s really not good writing these days 🤷‍♀️

I am watching the crappiest show in the history of ITV, with non-writing, so for me anything would do. 😆 HS is a big casualty. I found the CD thing wrong, his sudden expectation that Babita stay in his room was pretty weird. Idk I found a lot of stuff weird. Coz I guess change of rooms has to be discussed. Considering she always stayed with Mini!

Yep, that seems to be the message of the show now.

They did after all show HS himself calling Mini a “teesra” between him and Babita when he was frustrated about the honeymoon 🤷‍♀️

How do they expect anyone to take away a positive message about second marriages after seeing all this, especially those with kids? They will run the other way.

What we are being shown now is that HS is incapable of managing things when Babita falters, probably because post marriage, his thoughts are all about appeasement rather than actually being a proper partner.

He also seems incapable of managing Mini when she falters now 🤷‍♀️

All we are being shown is everyone faltering without anyone stepping up to balance. According to the writers, apparently life is an endless imbalance spree 🤷‍♀️....we shouldn’t ever expect anyone in our relationships to be able to step up. Constantly letting each other down is all we can do. Waah.

Writers have gone bonkers. What else? I can't believe this is the same show I praised and recommended to my friends. Lesson learned.

The issue isn’t that things can’t go horribly wrong in life. The writing is portraying the situations in a deliberately contrived manner.

Mini didn’t expect HS to “chill” with her all the time instead of her mom but the writing is deliberately exaggerating HS’s neglect of her to prove their half baked drama.

The characters have faced many bad situations in the story before also. But it never felt contrived and skewed like it is currently and that’s not cuz of how “real” it is

The imbalance is dragged and contrived right now simply for the sake of drama.

Good writing makes you feel for every character no matter the situation - good or bad. It doesn’t try to twist character traits overnight simply for drama.

You’re telling me that HS suddenly accusing Mini over the CD out of the blue was “good writing” 🙄

@blue - the biggest and dumbest thing on this show was that scene. It just doesn't make sense whichever way you look at it.

We wondered after the GP scene if the writers had realized their blunder in showing that CD scene and had moved on from that aberration.

Turns out it wasn’t an aberration, but step 1 in tearing down HS as a character...they’ve now used that as a central point around which to tear down his image more and more in every epi since.

I’d asked one question in my main post in this thread - is the Amrit Manthan still going on? 🤷‍♀️ Kisi ne jawaab nahin diya 😆

That is the only explanation with which I can try to rationalize the levels of ugliness they are bringing this down to. Poison still continues to emanate and everything only gets more and more poisoned by the day. Dunno what Amrit looks like or if it will ever emerge. GP scene was definitely an aberration and simply a temporary stopgap.

This can only make sense if they are all being unmade in order to be rebuilt ultimately. You raze something to the ground in order to have a fresh basis, fresh start 🤷‍♀️....But the writing has a very cavalier approach and giving a sense that there is no larger goal here for these plot points. Also, the original basis was beautiful. Why completely tear it down even if you want to remake this? 😕

Even if this were about amrit manthan, fine show conflicts. Each character sketch had enough flaws to build upon, but no they came up with typical twists and contrived situations to make characters do something so out of character for them. That's why we're especially having trouble seeing them do this to HS. Why did they build him up in such a way if they wanted to butcher it? They could have shown many things like his childhood trauma, daddy issue, temper, job stress, etc. being triggers for problems between them rather than things like this.

Not only was the CD fiasco lame, so was him not show introspecting or saying anything to anyone about it, not even NB or Lala. Lousy writing.
