I couldnt tell she was upset, uncomfortable or ashamed before she started talking. Her body is always on attention and she just reads lines. In Ashnoor and Annirudh you can see the slumping of shoulder, the defiant pose when they are angry, facial expressions and the eyes and know what they are feeling before they utter a word.

Sorry but I don't agree that parish is bad actor... I'm not fan of her but I have seen her in other shows as well and I guess she represents according to the character....

In her previous show she was a strong woman and who expresses her feelings without fear just like Minni and her acting in that show was amazing...

In PB no matter how strong behaves Babita is weak character who can't express her feelings unless it's verbally that's the difference... Even I felt that why is acting like this but when I have gone through the previous episodes then I got it that she acting according to the character sketch of Babita.... Where HS and Minni chaharcters are strong and expressive but Babita is not like them she can't express anything like them even her anger in also impulsive that's the reason it's like that....

It's just my POV...

Yeh toh presumption ho gayi that HS can't hug his wife normally....situation toh aane do....this situation was about keeping his daughter in the center to make her feel treasured by both mom and dad, simple.

I sense a lot of frustration here about HS-Babita not doing enough romance😆.....the writers like to keep things gradual with them....that's long established....so I expect that gradual trait will be maintained.

Mujhe yeh 1950s style.....talking to each other through other people and doing "ji ji" to each other....aise hi pasand aaye the when I started watching the show😆....it gives them a different flavor from typical couples.

I guess that makes me ancient too.....haha

Same here their growth is always was slow and romance will also be the same....

No one said she was a bad actor. I totally agree with what you are saying about her character sketch, but that's precisely why we expect more from her, to show us Babita in that way. There's just something missing. It's like we know what she's meant to be portraying as Babita so logically yeah we accept the scene but the emotional connect is missing because it still looks like an actor is acting the part, not being the character.

Don't know if that make sense.

I just want Paridhi to make the most of this wonderful opportunity. She won't get roles or stories like this so often that give her the chance to do natural acting. It's the "natural" bit that is often missing.

Of course, I love her work with Aniruddh, but have you seen how she pulls her scenes off with Sandhya ji? OMG!

That's a veteran actress with years of experience, an actor's actor and the fact that Ashnoor can still make her mark when in the same frame as her is no mean feat.

The way Sandhya ji plays NB is also a very nuanced very measured performance, that not many senior actors can pull off either. She's just perfect.

I still remember her narrating Imarti's diagnosis and death. There was not a false moment as she cried as a mother and a woman. I haven't seen any of her previous work, and have loved her from the day she entered this show, but that scene in particular made me a fan.

After all the cliched and stereotypical buzurgs we've seen on ITV, NB is truly a breath of fresh air. Yes, she's been written well, but Sandhya ji just takes it to another level. This is why I find Ashnoor's scenes with her so mind-blowing. There are many that I love but two in particular come to mind - when she's hugging NB and they are both trying to instigate Babita and HS to fight and when NB explains to Minnie that marriages are not fairy tales and they need work. It's not easy to make such scenes appear so seamless and natural but they both pulled it off.

@bold please do ...then we can gush about it again 😆

It's available on Voot and Youtube as well I think, not very sure.

Paridhi is definitely not a bad actor. She is great in her own ways but I beg to differ in regards of character sketch. It's not Babitha who is weak but the other two . Everyone knows what Babitha is from inside. She can show everything she feels out in open. She can be affectionate, jealous, insecure and can be even childish. She need not put any facade. So she definitely has more to express through her words and facial expression and there is certainly something lacking there. She can definitely improve in that area.

As for Minnie and HS they have to hide a lot of things behind their facade of bravery and maturity. Both Aniruddh and Ashnoor successfully make us see the real HS and Mini.

I know what u mean about the connection... Who knows the director wants her to do like that u know to show a confused reaction which will. Confuse us about her emotions... Donno ya... Even I felt the same during the scene last week and also during imarti track when she went to NB house... Her all. Expressions were so. Confusing about her emotions....

And I agree with you as per previous post as well that she have to work on her crying skills as babita, sometimes it doesn't looks natural...or we are so into aniruddh and ashnoor crying skills and emoting their pain ki we are not getting connected to Babita pain...

Yeah, I've frankly given up on Paridhi growing much as an actor despite being given a rare opportunity to play such a complex character. Her source material is much richer than Minnie and HS' character sketches in may ways in the sense that a lot of it is explicit and has been focused on her since day one.

The reason why Aniruddh and Ashnoor's skills are talked about is that they don't seem to be acting like they are crying, but no matter how good they are it shouldn't take away from Babita's pain. Each character to its own.

You mentioned her scenes when she went to NB's house during the Imarti track. Dadu Beeji were also upset, and NB's face was streaming with tears as she was hurting while remembering and narrating everything, yet nothing seemed unnatural there. Even a dialogue like 'sau sau mautein marta tha' or something like that, which could have been melodramatic, was perfectly spoken by Sandhyaji while she cried. She made us feel HS' pain during that whole scene but at the same time her pain as a mother seeing her son go through all that was perfectly communicated to us without her saying a single word about herself.

Babita's ego might have been hurt or whatever the reason was that she left the haveli, but as someone who apparently loved HS, forget that, as a fellow human being I would expect her to feel moved by the tragedy, yet the emotional connect was missing despite all the glycerin and tears on her face. And don't even get me started on her expression when HS saw her looking at him from the balcony after his talk with SS. One of the most disappointing bits for me, considering I had been so looking forward to her reaction after learning all this.

Anyway, I just try not to expect anything more from Paridhi or her Babita, which is a shame because as a woman I had been rooting for both of them to succeed since the early days of this show.

Yeah for. Scenes she fails in depicting babita emotions. In fullest but in initial scenes with Ashok and Khuranas and specially the court drama where Ashok verbally abused her there she was bang on and there she have given the pain of Babita very beautifullyband also it was heart wrenching scene.... Even while other scenes she feels that she was not concentrating on Minni mainly the manmeet fiasco...rhere she was too good in showing the pain of mother.... And the most one I liked. Was when she gave London tickets to Ashok there also she was too good....her chocking in middle and speaking was amazing...

Then why is she lagging to. Depict pain of lover who loved a man so deeply.... Is making me confused that does parish wants to show Babita as confused one when it comes to her love for HS....

I have loved pari in initial episodes, she was good especially during divorce drama. When ashok humilited her she was good there, dheere jalna, tum pukar lo, even. When she sends ashok away and dances and tujhse naaraz zindagi one. Even during padwal ki sabzi scene her anger, her care as a wife thr way she thumped her payal in anger.

But since the imarti track, somewhere whole connect is missing. I think the main reason is pari is herself not convinced the way her character is shaping up. The way her character growth is still. She herself was frustered that its been a year yet babes is still stuck where she started. Ki babes jaise baby ho.

But its her job right , who knows she might end up impressing her all .

Yes, in those initial episodes she was good, and she made me get her point of view immediately.

As for being confused about HS, Ashok, etc. I only get that because the dialogues and scenes have been set up to make me think that way, so my head knows it but my heart hasn't been touched the way it should have after such a major revelation from her.

Cut to two episodes later and Minnie's eyes are doing all the talking when she breaks down during HS' apologies, or walks down the stairs with HS or crumples when she does the GP.... all this without a single word from her.

All this time, Babita is watching them and her expressions at least tell us how she feels as a mother in that moment, so she was able to get some of that across.

I'm sorry it's just such a huge difference from Wednesday's episode...
