Re: Let Mini Grow up no Boyfriend story

I don't get why do we need to see a love interest for Mini, let her finish her Studies and do her further Education and her Travel Photography Course and Travel the world. Even HS has said to her follow your dreams and don't give up.

I do not want Babita to encourage this as Mini is still young and I hope that she is bright enough to see the parallel with her own life married at a early age and all ambitions ruined for the sake of puppy love etc.

Mickey from the beginning is shown as a fickle minded Boy going out with different girls at the same time is not good. Than after chasing Mini and getting nowhere decides to becomes boyfriend with Preeti. Does that not say anything at all about his Character towards girls. I would not want someone like that for my Daughters.

He is from a Conservative Punjabi farming family and he has no interests in Studying etc and I can see that if they paired them up another Babita in the making, which is not good as what will Mini have learned a Husband like her Father and She like her Mother looking after her in laws etc.

This would mean taking your Friend's Boyfriend is a not done at all. This is not musical chairs that you change partners without thinking of your best friend feelings etc. In fact I would go as far has to say that Pretti is more suited for Mickey and fitting in with his family and serving the inlaws etc as she more docile and wants to get married etc and would fit in with them. Where as Mini is Bold and out spoken and has dreams which would not sit well with his Family.

I don't get how some will justify it by saying Mickey and Preeti don't look good together. Really this is crazy. Going as far as to say that a childhood friend is not good but a boy of a few months is a better friend really. Oh my.

In Friendship you can have a good friend who is a Girl or a Boy.

But I cannot get over this Mentality that when a Girl turns 16 years or so than she has to have a boyfriend no wonder there are so many issues regarding this harassment of young girls is crazy and many ruined young girls life's without z bright future etc.

And than on the other hand we worry about what will people say but ok for young girls to have boyfriends instead of studying and making something of there life's is crazy. Will people not talk than as well.

Is this for real. Please don't show this as there is already a big problem regarding this chasing of young girls with fatal results. Let us show that Girls too can have ambitions and reach for the stars without going the typical route girl reaches 16 to 18 years meets a boy and gets married while they are still children themselves without any ambitions in life and reaching for the stars is something that all Girls should be allowed to do instead of going the typical Marriage route of Marriage the minute they hit there teens is very sad and having children while they are still children themselves.

So sad.

You know what, if they show Mini's love interest, it will make even more sense. At this age, the biggest obstacle in a teenager's life is, relationship. It would definitely make 100% sense, if they show this particular track. In fact, I am waiting for it. There should be that understanding, when you deviate your attention from academics, how it would spoil your life. Specially, if you dont have control over your emotions, you may spoil the rest of your life. I know a family friend, whose sister got married at a real young age(18), and how her life was spoiled after that because of her mother in law. She had to stop her academics, as per her MIL's say. And today she is a mathematics teacher is the U.S. She had later left for rather ran away to U.S with her husband and then got her degree. She has now done M.SC Mathematics. So, in a way, it is totally needed to show this to today's world, since it has to alert the parents as well as teens. Moreover, Hanita together will have to tackle this situation, that will bring them even more close. So, let's just buckle up and enjoy this track...😊

I dont think it should be a problem to watch as it is the most necessary track. If you understand, Mini has already had this weird thought that love is the most beautiful feeling in the world. Now whether it is Mickey or someone else is a big question mark. It may be, someone else too. But, I have a question for you, would you accept her relationship, if the boy is extremely decent, a topper with intellectual dreams and aspirations and extremely trustworthy, in short exact opposite of Mickey??

Nope I hope that PB have learned there lesson and dont go down this route of boyfriend while she is still young and has not even finished her education at all.

A big no to this boyfriend nonsense.

Why can’t she have a bf PLUS fulfil her career? Many ppl do It. A bf does not have to necessarily translate into marriage. Whether we like to admit it or not, for teenagers this age, relationships do factor in their lives. Not that she should be with someone like Mickey but look at the relationship that preet and mickey have, they hang out, go on dates and just enjoy each other’s company. Why shouldn’t they show mini experiencing this also when it’s a very real problem faced with girls/boys of that age. Perhaps they can show how even with having a bf, your dreams don’t have to be put on hold. An interest in the opposite sex is a part of growing up...

Wow hats off to you for such low and even lower thoughts on getting Girls empowerment, and at a time where Girls are Struggling against the odds to achieve there dreams and goals to reach the sky as achievements of Girls its sad to see a post like yours is really sad.

I have 2 daughters and if I thought like you than there is no hope at all for young girls today.

16+ are young girls/children still and its there time to study and I hope they show that instead, as she is as yet to achieve her dreams.

Its a little wonder young Girls have a hard time to get a education and not all are not interested in boys etc.

I hope that PB is taking notes on this very strong points of Girl Empowerment and dont go down the typical route.

I am not telling Mini should fall in love, and I support that. It's a topic that has to be shown in today's world. That is the ultimate reality. There are so many people who lost their career because of this. And I really want people to understand what is right and what is wrong. I think you should read my post again and understand, why was I telling they should show the track. Unless she doesn't face the real world, she will always be maa ki dulhaari. She needs to learn the ultimate truth. I don't know, what did I say so wrong that I am against women empowerment. Let me tell you something, I know many people who have faced this obstacle in life and are doing wonders today. I dont know why you have so much of problem, when they have to show this track. And even if, Mini is really studious, she wouldn't get so distracted. You are telling me I am against women empowerment, I am against women building their career, but this is a serial. And they have made this serial to create awareness about the happenings in the society. So it's obvious they would show this. And, I dont want to get personal, but not everyone may be like your daughters. There are so many parents who dont even know what their daughters are doing in life. It's a great message for such negligent parents. I think before insulting me, you should read and try to understand why am I telling them to show this track....

And if Mini is studious, like I said, she wouldn't get an inch distraction. She needs to know what is right and what is wrong. She should know her career is more important than this. No its not insulting at all. But this is already a big problem in the Indian Society so no need to show it and glorify it all. Every Collage and School has this problem and how much more needs to shown. I am a Mum and I say no to this stupid boyfriend track when she is so young. And yes people talk as well and reputations get spoiled as well. Stalking etc is already a big problem if a girl rejects a boy and even worse.

No we need a track on GIRL EMPOWERMENT not a stupid track on boyfriends than the whole story of PB is wrong than.

The Girls have the rest of there life's when they have grown up for love etc.

Its upto the parents and viewers how they take it. If the viewers dont have any sense, then this will spread! But, if the viewers are knowledgeable, they will understand the crux of what is shown. And this is definitely women empowerment. 'Save your daughters before they get into a vicious cycle of a spoilt relationship.'

Who said that boyfriends are needed for teenagers. There are many better ways of having a better life. Unnecessarily having that love factor in your life as a teen, does not mean that the person is totally smart. No denying if you have friends who are boys, there is nothing wrong. But, this love thing at this age is something I hate. Unnecessarily spoiling your life, spoiling your career, spoiling your relations (read relations and not relationship). You must learn to control your emotions for sometime. After you have achieved something in life you can do anything you want to. There is no stopping. But, at this age it can lead to many complications. And if that limit is crossed, then even God cant save you...
