Dadu and biji, specially biji, only changed their tone and thinking once they saw how badly ashok behaved with them, how mita behaved initially. They saw that mita would never care for them the way Babita does. And after everything happened, biji still wanted ashok to apologise and Babita to forgive him and get back together. Even though she did not say it to Babita or Minnie, ashok made it clear when he said "biji ne kaha tha, usse maafi maang le, woh maaf kar degi".
Minnie needs to realise this. That these people did not support her or Babita when they really needed it. Where were these people when Babita was working in the factory and had blisters on her feeet, where were they when she had to work as an aaya, where were they when she was alone fighting for her character, for her right to survive?
And the whole sequence of Minnie changing her last name. Dadu threatened her. that was not right. At that time he did not care aout what was right or wrong, he cared about the fact that Minnie changing her name would end his family line, what would the society say.
It is natural for Minnie to feel insecure and after all her talks she is very young. here i think apart from HS and babes, her friends need to make her understand that even though babita is her mother, right now she is that woman who wants to be loved, to feel loved and cared for. I think Mickey can make her understand that And preet can remind her of all the past happenings.
I think once Babita talks to her, Minnie will understand... I am sure. At the end of the day, Minnie is still a kid... no matter what we say about 'coming to age' - you are still a teenager... Minnie in fact is mature than kids her age...
