I am in Mumbai Shweta, for most, it is this super ultra metropolitan, and I don't really mind whether they celebrate these festivals or no, but since I came back last year, It doesnt feel like coming back home! Its like I have left home and am living in some alien city. Friends, relatives, everybody here I guess are trying to be what they are not, thats what pinches me the most!

I agree Purvi. I felt the same change when i was there earlier this year. People are trying to imitate for sake of doing. People have become more materialistic too and everything felt less homely and more artificial so to speak . Whereas western world is trying to follow eastern culture

I dont know Amrish, For a long time now, living in India, is going to be like dwelling on alien lands... I cant connect, and I hate every second of it...! I never thought I would have to say things like this for my own country, but I absolutely cant take people who have no standards and are 2 faced 😔

My masi lives in Naranpura in Ahmedabad, I went to Rajkot from there as my NAni used to social work for a Ashram in Rajkot, we visited the ashram and distributed sweets to the people there on her 85th Birth anniversary...!
