They also sell the home made batter here, but I like the rava idali more than the plain ones and they never have batter for Rava idali so I use MTR mix. It's pretty good actually. have you ever tried it?
I didn't add too many veggies In my sambhar this time, just green beans and coyote squash. Even my hubby mentioned y'day that that was the best sambhar I had ever made😛😛😛

No I never tried the MTR mix...Will try it next time
I don't add too many veggies to sambar Mostly I add carrots, green beans and drumsticks

I am planning to make khichdi tonight haven't had it for ages...I always like Punjabi food even when I was in India...No I never entered kitchen back home I started cooking only after coming to US...
Actually I was in hostel during my Undergrad and our cook was a Punjabi he used to make lot of Punjabi food May be that's how I am used to it
And all my roomies in US are NI so started cooking Punjabi food 😊
