For how long is the bloody channel going to stay mum?

Well for those who feel Parichay was not doing good business for them, let me tell you a few thing!

Parichay garnered 2+ within 4 weeks of its lauch and when the story picked up with Kunal and Siddhi's marriage, it only ent up and managed to beat the top show YRKKH last year this time around.

NBT the show that has taken the original slot of Parichay, its been 4 months since the launch of this show, and it hasn't crossed 2.

The show that is running at the 9pm slot hasn't crossed 1.6.

The showat 10pm, well the newspapers are publicly asking the makers to shut the show down. It isn't doing well as compared to show in this slot on SP.

Balika Vadhu is going down the hill and ask me I asuure you it is not going to stay for long. It doesn't have a story now.

MB is doing good, will have to wait and see how long it does.

The show at 7:30, better don't ask me anything about it. It isn't doing well either, as compared to the show on Zee.

The new show at 10:30 is no match to Veera and one month is a long period BTW, the story seems to have begun, but this show has failed.

So what business are we talking about.

Over the weekends, They tried to ape Crime Patrol in shaitaan failed miserably.

They tried to ape CC failed miserably.

Some investigative stupidity is unning, failed miserably.

They are sweating their bloods out in promoting stupid shows, are failing miserably.

The fact is that Colors has nothing now. It can no way be compared to SP.

Talking about business, well what profits are they making with all these failures. No show of this channel is in the top 5 now.

Talk about business SP does it. If I hear people say this about Colors, oh well then I have only one thing to do LOL.

One thing is true, they are least bothered about viewers sentiments. For that this channel would definitely suffer.

Dont know much about this money minting entertainment channels. The shows like Jhalak, Big Boss, India got Talent including 2+ TRPs shows may be doing big business for them. How long it will go. Lets wait and watch.

All business irregardless of the nature of the biz, stakeholders are only interested in the bottom line. They dont want to see anything in red. Agreed.

But before going there, one has to anlayse what makes a good biz decison. There are many factors contributing this...

In the case of Parichay. this show was doing well at 9.30 pm slot but with BB6, it was forced to give up its slot and two shows were axed to accomodate BB6 & Parichay.. What suprises me was the show that was axed ( due to poor trps) was slotted at the 9.30 pm slot after the departure of BB6 when it rightfully should have been given back to Parichay and that very show which is now at 9.30 pm slot should have been given its orignal slot at 10.30 pm as it had its own loyal fan following.

Ok fair enough...they wanted to experment if the show would do well at 9.30 pm. Unfortunately after 4 mths ,the numbers are not healthy.Still instead of reshufflingl here and there, what they did was the biggest mistake. Axe Parichay just when the story was going the right way...and this was a good decision ?

what good decsion did the channel make by

1) shifting the time slot of a perfectly good show Parichay from 9.30pm to 10.30 pm.

2) not promoting Parichay for the last few months.

3) axing the show coz of Poor TRP which was due to their own making

When they could have easily made some changes in their schedules which would have been a win win siutaiton for all.

I can say one thing being in retail business., we normally dont disturb what's working well for us. We will improvise it but never ever kill it. and we very much care for customers satisfaction . We listen to them for they are our paymaster.

I failed to understand their business acument on profitablity and their business assessment and decsions.

If I am not wrong, then a channel can claim to be doing good business only if their shows have a trp of 3+, none of the channel's shows have it!

Didn't Parichay have a trp of 2.3 the last week before the slot change? Didn't it went up to 2.8 post leap? Didn't it garner 4.0 at the 9:30 slot and beat the top show of SP?

Call it business then capitalizing on this show properly is what I would have called business.

Is there some other meaning of business that I don't have it in my dictionary?

Neither am I trying to be a public prosecutor here!😛
