Guys,

I am aware of what the masses like🤢 and was the reason I stayed far far away from daily soaps. Parichay is the first and I guess last show I will ever watch. Mockery of marriage, kitchen politics, EMA and multiple marriages do seem to be flavor of success so to speak on tv😲🤢

But I would make note that Parichay's success was not in synchronized with such garbage. Fan base of Parichay has been different on forum and on large scale as well. Those who tuned in after watching initial promos expected something different from usual crap on tv. If we look at trps chart, last year January where SINAL were coming closer, standing by each other fighting wrong together. It had purity, simplicity and close to real life portrayal that attracted viewers.

Parichay was never about presentation or stupid crap daily soaps are famous for. I would not accept even in original time slot disgusting shadi would fetch trps as week before leap it was going towards shadi of Kunal with 🤢 and first time in 2012 trps fell below 2.0

It is simple, CVs and channel simply does not know how to make a good show and if it works, meaning they need to continue showing proper things which is against the TREND of usual garbage.

It is sad but true!!
The aunties in India, that includes my own mother love to watch all the nonsense shows being aired!! Off late my mother feels that Parichay has become boring because it doesn't have any MASALA!! Seriously we had a big fight!
No wonder shows like SSk garner trps where there are many people who want garma garam masala!!
My mother has been missing Richa and Abhay and when I tell her what is the problem when a show is free of vamps, she says they are the one who entertain!

The thing is that, people are ready to watch anything to get entertained!! When shows like Bigg Boss can run for 6 consecutive years, you don't need any proof for that!!

Sameer himself has stressed upon this fact so many times that the standard of television has fallen down badly!
You might be knowing Pankaj Kapur!! He says that he will never again return to TV even if he is suffering for bread butter! Such is the condition of Indian TV!

So it is pretty obvious that positivity in a show cannot last for long as people these days don't like it!
Show on this very own channel have been making a mockery of Indian Marriage system yet have been running because they are entertaining!!

Sameer himself has acted in a show called Samundar which was one of the finest shows ever!!

Parichay was the first show that attracted me, my father, my brother who seriously don't care a shit about TV soaps! Sadly it is going to be my last show too!

I agree that Parichay tried to explore a male-oriented genre. It is a different show w/o kitchen politics and has a hatke group of fans who will not accept multiple marriages of leads or EMAs of leads with vamps/villains. I also agree that most people do like to watch this routine crap as a drama quotient.

But I think the blame lies with the writers and creatives of the show who failed to capture the audience with their story. They failed to produce a fallen's hero's parichay until the very end. They could not maintain the curiosity of the audiences with positive tracks which would have taken KC's Parichay forward. They unnecessarily and immaturely reverted back to the nari-shakti themes and EMA tracks which turned majority of the viewers away from the show. The tracks were too fast at times and frankly lacked future direction. The shows which are gaining trps on the channel.. no matter how bad the track, have a set pace leaving the audience with curiosity at every stage. They did not waver due to weekly trps and temporary set backs. They had a story at hand and just implemented the tracks at a steady pace.

The channel did not promote our positive tracks but it was the fault of the PH that they dragged negativity for ever and left the viewers with no other option but to leave the show. Frankly, if it wasn't for Sinal, I would have stopped watching the show the day Sid's pregnancy was announced. There was never positive promotion for the show from the PH.. its always been negative for the past year or so. For every released promo we feared what worst was coming. We feared something bad to happen at every single stage for the past year. I can remember very few instances where we were genuinely happy when a promo was released. That is the handy work of the creatives that they never were able to instill confidence in the viewers that something positive would come.

Finally, the channel drew the last sword by simply ignoring the show and stopped promoting it. They must have decided to end it in Nov or Dec itself and hence stopped promoting. The time slot made a lot of difference too.. I agree. Its not just the viewers mentality.. its how the show shaped up and how the viewers were captivated is what matters. In my opinion, the PH, creatives and the technical team of Parichay failed big time in retaining their audience irrespective of time slot change.

Just my opinion!

Completly agree with you Jay !
It sure looks like a planned sabbotage rather than incidental .

The way the channel promoted those crapfest tracks will not be forgotten as yet and we did witness the way any of the good tracks were promoted !

quite obvious that they did not like to takeon in a positive path . Really rather than blaming the audiance who did stick to it as long as it was on the positive track , it only looks unsupported by the ph and channel .

There sure are a good number of audience for different and good stuff , its just that the Ph is not wiiling to cater to such groups .

Its absolutely sad to witness such things . Most of the members here had taken to watch Parichay either after a long break from tv soaps or for the first time and now such people will again refrain from such torture !

Intially i was shocked to note that Hum Panch was from the same PH !

that was a symbol of positivity , humor and family drama in those days which still remains dear to those who might have watched it !

And to witness the current trend of soaps with the usual kitchen politics etc is very disheartening !
just too hard to digest such a rude shock !!!

jay i am not surprised or shocked to be honest..the way the channel and the BT were treating the show off late , it was quite obvious end is near ..
still it took me 2 days to come in terms with this news as SINAL and parichay , this forum more than a habit have become part of my life .. SINAL are like a family to me .. since the time I have started watching the show , i have become so addicted to the show that my days are incomplete without parichay and without coming to this forum..even in times when i could not watch the show, i still read LUs and and logged in to the forum. and watched the old episodes which have downloaded in my phone...
but if we think in a positive way ..knowing EK, her so called intelligent CVs . .if the show had continued, we might had to witness yet another separation, leap and then carving for reunion and another set of mistake ,OTT...since the only track these CVs can think of is separation-leap -reunion.. i remember Sameer sir had said in his interview..the makers think if leads are united , show ends ...he was so right .. these CVs really have limited tracks and more so ideas..

.and i am glad in our show the leads did not re-unite in th 28th minute of the last epsiode ..at least we will get to see some SINAL moments which will be with us for the rest of life as sweet memories..which we can watch again and again.
i just hope , wish that some day sameer sir and keerti work together again in a better show, and a good channel and PH where their hard work ,dedication are recognized, appreciated and respected ..may be parichay season 2..in sony or star plus or zee...
