Kunal: What penance? What are you talking abput
Siddhi did not answer and walked away.
Kunal decided to give Siddhi some space. But even after two days when siddhi refused to return his calls he went to her home
Siddhi immediately asked him to leave
Kunal: Bas Siddhi! What the hell is going on? You suddenly want to break all ties with me and you wont even tell me why??
Siddhi: I dont have time for this nonsense. I have a number of job interviews lined up for today.
Kunaal: Job interviews!! Are you serious siddhi? You knows you are 5 months pregnant. Its very unlikely that someone would hire you right now
Siddhi: Oh! So thats what you really think about me and my child. Tht we deserve to be shunned and boycotted..
Kunal:WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?? I am saying x and you are interpreting y! You have a problem with me! Fine dont interact with me personally. But dont leave the firm you helped create.
Siddhi: i dont want to be associated with anything that links to you.
Kunal: Fine siddhi.You leave me no option! When we had begun expanding our firm we had made everyone sign a contract that they have to serve a notice period of 3 months before leaving the firm. Both of us also signed that contract. You are legally bound to serve the notic eperiod.
Siddhi: Good, now we are talking business. Thanks for re-emphasizing the fact that we have no personal relation
Kunal: Siddhi stop being irrational
Siddhi: Please leave now Sir.
I will report to office at 9 am tomorrow sir.
Tomorrow sharp at 9 am Kunal found Siddhi in his office
Siddhi: Good Morning sir. Please let me know my assignments for the next 3 months.
Kunal: Siddhi stop it! Why are you making a mockery of our relation?
Siddhi: Says the person who made a mockery of his relation with his younger brother. Aap Anand ke nahi ho sake mere kya..
Kunal: SIDDHI! What do you mean by saying such a thing??!!!
Siddhi: I dont have to answer you sir
Kunal: You think you can just say such a thing and walk away! Everyone knows that Anand was the most important person to me and you say,,,
Siddhi: Sir let me know when you are ready to allocate work. I'll come back then
As siddhi walked away kunal punched the wall . The pain that came from his action was nothing compared to the pain he was feeling because of siddhi's behaviour.
He sat down frustrated and tired. His mind went back to their shopping trip on Sunday! Everything had been perfect and by the next morning everything had changed. His mind tried to reason what could have gone wrong. Suddenly it struck him that he had told richa about siddhi doing up his room and she had looked super angry
DId she go and say something? But what.. It had to have something to do with Anand.. He needed to find out the truth from siddhi.
He called siddhi to his room and shut the door.
Siddhi: yes sir tell me!
Kunal: STOP! I have had enough of this. You are angry at me because you think I wronged Anand! How ? tell me how I wronged him.
Siddhi: Fine you didnt.. in fact you tried to make up for what happened by looking after me.. pretending to be my friend when all you felt for me was pity and guilt.
Kunaldidnt try correcting her. Siddhi went on.
But how can you forgive her??? Anand died becuse of richa... she called you to meet her on our wedding day and anand went instead and and DIED!😭 Fine you made me your charity case and took care of me but how can you forgive richa and want to marry her??
There was silence after that. Siddhi had accepted a response from kunal but he stood there with his back towards him. She walked up to him and saw tears streaming down his eyes
Kunal: Thanks siddhi! thanks for making me aware that i am responsible for anand's death
Siddhi: you didnt know..?
Kunal: NO! thanks also for making me realize that our friendship is so weak that you believed everything richa said without bothering to talk to me even once
thanks for letting me know that you think I am capable of forgiving and marryin a woman responsible for my brother's death
Thanks.. and one more thing.. I am not as horrible as you think I am. Anand died my death and i will never be able to live in peace.. every moment of my life I will wish that i had died instead.. and i am sure you do too and have every right to!
Siddhi: No kunakl!!! I have wished that anand was alive but never that you had died instead... I dont even hold you accountable for anand's death. I was just hurt at the thought that you were forgiving richa and that our relationw as a pretence.. I am genuinely sorry.. i should have clarified..
Kunal: Siddhi i am going out.. i need to sort thing out..please go home today.. I'll come and talk to you once i have made better sense of what has happened.
