Chapter 11 '

Slowly tears coming off to her cheeks, Siddhi is still admiring her possessions. She realized someone is standing beside her so she shuts the drawer. She turns her face and slowly looks up. In the process she sees simple chappals, light blue jeans, very light untucked shirt with sleeves up, elegant chronograph watch and finally the face, Kunal Chopra. She stares at the blank face and silent eyes for a moment. Kunal slowly extends his hand, offering his handkerchief (gentlemen carry handkerchief😎). In less than a second, silent eye had concern and blank face appeared bit worried. Siddhi did not respond for a minute or two. Her eyes moved looking at Kunal's face then at the handkerchief back and forth; but Kunal simply stood there. Slowly Siddhi accepted the handkerchief, wiped off her tears; but still looking at Kunal whom she had been looking for past week.

Kunal with care, "tears don't look good there. A smile fits perfectly. (Siddhi did feel better but still bit saddened face that ached Kunal a lot) See things are quite good today, why bring tears. For example your perfume is so good today, not the strong one that would've made me fall by now as I am standing so close" ended with but mischievous tone.😛

As soon as Kunal finished, sly smile crept on Siddhi face😊 with hint of laughter there, "I am not wearing any perfume today. I thought Kunal Chopra did not lie" with slightly mocking tone.

Kunal with chuckles, "well my intent was to bring a smile and it was looking very hard from my stand so had to do what was needed. You certainly can say Thank you very easily, but sorry from my side, well (chuckles). Besides, you have yet to learn a lot about Kunal Chopra."

As soon as Kunal finished, he and Siddhi both felt bit awkward as what did he mean but it still felt so natura😳l to be in that moment. In matter of few seconds Siddhi and Kunal stole who knows how many glances at each other and it seemed getting more intense so Kunal, 'It is getting late now. One should not work late every single day". Hearing this Siddhi's face suddenly lighted up😳 "He knew I was working late all these days". Now the smile was wider as she nodded yes. Like a perfect gentleman Kunal stood there for Siddhi to get her things together and allowed her to walk out first from the office. It was indeed very late and office being in internal area, transportation was hard to come by. Both Kunal and Siddhi knew they would have to walk a little to get an auto. While both were walking out, Siddhi stepped on a plastic bag that made her loose her balance so she grabbed Kunal's arm. Kunal too quickly gave her support in most decent way. Once Siddhi was well on her feet, "Sorry about that."

Kunal looked at her, "Oh, so you say sorry when you had to hold onto someone due to such accidents; but it is fine to just grab someone's hand, pull them back and demand answers?" ended in funny tone😛. Again as soon as Kunal finished both felt bit awkward, yet so natural. Kunal in his mind, "Why did I say that? Even in office I said something like that. Why am I behaving this way?" While Siddhi is feeling shy and pleasantly surprised, "Did he just say that? I do not know how to respond. Why do I feel Goosebumps right now?"

Soon both came to main road and waited for an auto. An auto did stop and of course Kunal offered it to Siddhi. While Siddhi was getting in the auto, Kunal noticed the driver was not looking at Siddhi properly. He got angry instantly and wanted to teach him a lesson right there but had to control. So he said to Siddhi, "It is very hard to get auto at this time around here. Do you mind if I join you and later I can just take auto home?"

Siddhi of course didn't mind and gave a joyful smile😃 indicating yes. Siddhi moved inside so Kunal can come in. Kunal made sure there is enough distance between them so Siddhi is comfortable. So now both were riding together in auto at wonderful night. Being in such close proximity, right next to each other, both could actually smell each other and feel their presence may be on their body. The simple ride was slowly turning into one of the best experience for both as the atmosphere indie auto was getting sensational. There seem strong intoxication looming over both as they stole million glances at each other in no time. Both did not know what to do or say so Kunal being the man had to come up with an idea, "driver, turn on the radio. Right now they will be having "bhoole bisre geet". Driver followed his instruction and turn on radio.

First song came up was by Mukesh "Suhani Chandni rate, hame sone nahi degi". Kunal was of course very much interested in the song. He was even humming the song inside his head visible by movement of his head. He sensed Siddhi is staring at him so he looked at her, only to see innocent face again bit irritated. Kunal understood she was not happy due to his song so still looking at her he said, "driver change the station. Apparently someone doesn't enjoy quality music, huh." Siddhi did not like the way Kunal said it, but then without her spelling it out he understood so she was happy about that. Driver changed the station and song came "pehla nasha, pehla khuma; naya pyaar he, naya intazaar". As soon as song came on both Kunal and Siddhi felt extremely uncomfortable visible by their body language. They felt as if part of their inner feelings are being exposed or what? Both dared to look at each other once and for a split second shared eye-lock; tantalizing their bodies. Both knew they cannot continue their ride this way. So again Kunal, "ahh, change.. change the station driver. What a, what a stupid song it is" tried to laugh nervously.

Driver thought what's with these two. Oh well, he changed the station again and RJ said, "next song is from movie Border." For some reason both Kunal and Siddhi felt bit relieved as this must be a patriotic song. (Too soon I say😆) Song happened to be "hame jabse mohabbat ho gayi hai, Ye duniya khoobsoorat ho gayi hai". Now there was no escape for either one of them. Both felt now if they ask song to be changed, driver would sure get pissed off but it will also tell other one they are feeling something. So they had to hear the song while trying very hard to hide what they felt. At the same time both were struggling to understand what is it they are feeling at the moment and why? What could be the reason they don't want to look at each other right now? Are they afraid they might expose something very intimate? But then they also want to look at each other so bad. What is happening inside? They want to talk to each other but must restraint their selves, they want to look at each other but must hide their own face; are they blushing right now, feeling sweet awkwardness? But biggest question in their mind is why? For 5 minutes both engaged in these questions and had no answers.

Finally Siddhi's home came so both came out. Siddhi took out money and extended her hand but Kunal stopped her, slightly touching her hand; so you know what happened there😳. Reason Kunal stopped was he saw auto driver may be hoping to grab Siddhi's hand and also gentleman can't allow lady to pay. He took out money from his pocket gave it to driver and told him to take a hike. Given Kunal said it with full command, driver drove very fast. Kunal turned other side to see Siddhi was walking towards her building bit sneakily. Kunal, "ayee (yes he did😉)." Siddhi of course stopped as she expected it and had smile😊 on her face as she predicated right. She tried to hide her smile and turned back as no big deal. Kunal cam towards her, "Are you that nave? Or are you blind? Didn't you see the way that man was looking at you? Also offering money like that, he was waiting for an opportunity to grab your hands. Really, what is it with you? I thought you are smart."

Siddhi very innocently, but in teasing tone said, "Of course I knew. This is not first time I am travelling alone at night."😛

Kunal got irritated, "yet you sit in that auto and extend your hand? Why do you think I came with you? You think at nights I provide security for all the female, protect them from such low life individuals as if I am their body guard?"

Siddhi made very cute, innocent face, "you may not provide that service for everyone, but may be for'."😳

Siddhi did not have to finish her sentence to say what she wanted to. Kunal felt so embarrassed and could not control blushing☺️😳 so hard he had to turn his face other side. "How come this little lady is able to affect him so much? How is it she picks on him and he likes it so much? Yes he would not do this for everyone but then it was her. She knew why he was getting on so did she want him to come with her as well? Why would she do that? But he liked the fact she knew why he was getting on and let him accompany her to her house."

Siddhi on the other side is on cloud 9, admiring Kunal, "hay, he can blush too. I hope he understood I intentionally wanted him to come. But why did I do that? Anyways, I like he came with me. He is so shy. He is silent but says so much."

Kunal just stood there, trying very hard to hide his smile, admiring little lady. Siddhi reluctantly went inside the building but must have looked back million times to see akdoo stand there. Both had forgotten that past week was absolutely torture for both and there is utmost energy inside them right now. Will they able to sleep tonight was the question?????
