Next day in court Kunal was on fire. Siddhi's words instilled him with confidence and energy. The case he was fighting was against a large conglomerate. His client was suing the conglomerate for illegal production practices that had impacted the quality and safety of food that they were producing. Before he had taken the case up it had been in limbo for several years. But he managed to wrap up the case in 3 months- 7 hearings to be precise.
As the case was announced in his client's favour the court errupted in applause for the dynamic and gutsy lawyer Kunal Chopra.
As he made his way out of the courtroom he was surrounded by a crowd of media persons. But his eyes were only searching for one person. And she was standing at the edge of the crowd. Smiling and with tears in her eyes. He made his way through the crowd and hugged Siddhi oblivious to the crowd of media persons around them.
He turned to the media and said.
K: You wanted to know who I owe this success to. Its my wife Siddhi Chopra.
He answered a few more questions and then started moving away with Siddhi.
S: kunal aapko pata hai you hugged me in front of the media..
K: So what Mrs Chopra. You are my legal wife and I have a right to show my love for you 😉 Siddhi, I am so happy today
S: Not happier than me Mr Chopra
That was just the beginning.. There was a rush of clients coming to Kunal and he won every case he took on. Yet he always remained true to his principles. He always took out time to fight pro-bono cases for people who couldnt afford his fees, cases that no one else wante dto fight.
A few months later there was an Award Ceremony to felicitate young professionals.. The rumour mills were suggesting that Kunal was going to win the award for the legal field. The Award Ceremony coincided with Siddhi's birthday. Siddhi was sure he would win the award on her birthday. Kunal of course didnt want to go to the function. He wanted to celebrate her birthday by spending a romantic evening together.
Siddhi bribed him by saying
S: If you go I'll give you a gift.
Despite kunal's pleas she refused to tell him what the gift was. He grumbled like a small kid but agreed to go
Kunal had noticed how siddhi was very happy for the past few days. She was also very demonstrative about her love for him: kissing him and hugging. He basked in the attention but he was curious about the reason behind her behaviour.
S: Bas kuch nahi.. kuch decide kiya hai..
K: Batao na!!!!
S: All in good time my handsome husband..
On the day of siddhi's birthday, she woke up to find the whole room filled with flower bouquets.
Siddhi: Kunal this is beautiful!!!!
Kunal: Not as beautiful as you. Now close your eyes!!
When she opened her eyes she found a beautiful solitaire around her neck.
Siddhi: Kunal this is amazing..I love you.. than you so much..
K: I know thoda chota hai.. but i promise to get you a bigger one next year..
s: Not needed. I have the most valuable diamond in the world already-YOU!!!
K: Baaton se kaam nahi chalega.. you promised me a gift..
S: Milega.. magar raat ko..
K: Siddhi this isnt fair..
S: EVerything is fair in love and war 😉
At the Awards Night
Kunal was awarded "Young Professional of the Year-Legal field" He gave a short acceptance speech.
" I was just breathing but wasnt really living when my wife Siddhi entered my life and turned it around. She gave me love, faith and fuelled me with courage to fight. She believed in me when i didnt believe in myself. This one's for you My darling"
Siddhi had tears in her eyes by the time kunal was done.
S: You didnt need to..
K: No.. I had to .. I had to tell the world how this is not my voctory but ours.
At home.
Siddhi was removing her necklace and kunal came and hugged her from behind.
S: Kunal I am ready..
K: Abhi to wapas aaye hai.. ab kaha jaane ke liye ready?
S: Kunal woh main.. woh..
he turned siddhi around and noticed that she was blushing and her eyes were lowered.
K: Bolo na..
S: Kunal I am ready to have a baby...our baby..
Kunal was dumbstruck.When he realized what she had siad he picked her up and began swirling her around..
Siddhi: K-U-N-A-L!!! PUT ME DOWN
He sat her down on the bed and held her hands..
K: You are sure right?? there's no pressure..
S: Of course there isnt... I am ready. But for some time now i have been realizing how i also want us to take our relationship to the next stage..I want this.. I want us to have a baby together
K: I am so HAPPY!!!! I love you !!!!!!!!

S: Itni jaldi nahi baba.. I have taken an appointment with the doctor tomorrow and we will go about this properly...
K: Whatever you say my darling.. whatever you say.. its your birthday but you have given me the best gift of my life...
