At AC's school: AC's team had won the cricket match for their school and all the students and staff were celebrating the victory. AD played Tennis and he too won the match for his school!! So, his school students and teachers were also celebrating the victory. AC's school management had arranged for lunch for all the students, staff and parents who attended the festival. Both AC and AD's matches were completed in the morning session and both having won for their respective schools were pretty happy. As it was 15 minutes to lunch time, the school peons and help started arranging for lunch in one corner of the ground. A tent was put up temporarily under which the food would be arranged. There was enough place under the tent for people to stand and eat as it was a buffet! Some teachers from AC's school supervised the arrangements.. the lunch time would be for exactly an hour after which they had to resume the afternoon and evening session competetions.
AC was anxiously looking towards the school gate anticipating his father any moment. He knew his father said he would start in an hour and there was still half-an-hour time to expect him but he was impatient! Just then, AD came running to him and grabbed his hand and took him to a place which was far from the noise!
AD: So, did you talk to dad about mom yesterday? Did you tell him about me?
AC: (With a smile) Yes, I told him about you and mom!!
AD: Really?(excited and pleased to see a smile on AC's face) Kya kaha unhone?
AC: Maine pehle thumhare bare me kaha tho papa ne kaha ki woh coincidence hai! Phir jab maine mom ka naam liya.. unka face dekhne layak tha(he laughed)
AD: Arey Anand, bataa na yaar, kya hua exactly!! (AD was anxiously waiting to talk to his brother all morning.. but did not get a chance as both had matches in the morning session)
AC then told him how he spoke to his father and how his father reacted on hearing the news.
AC: Mujhe pata hai ki papa mom se bahut pyar karte hain.. kyonki jab bhi woh drink karte hain, tho mom ke bare me hi sochthe hain. Kabhi kabhi unka naam bhi lete hain. Lekin unhone mujhse ajar tak kabhi mom ke baare me kuch nahi kaha. Aur mujhe lagta hai ki unhe nahi pata ki main twin hun! Ab main bhi papa ko inti aasani se nahi chodoonga! Mujhe nahi pata ki kya hua papa aur mom ke beech me.. leki main papa ko acchi tharah jaanta hun.. jab tak mom unke life me wapis nahi aayegi, woh aage nahi badenge!!
AD: Kaash main mom ke baare me bhi kuch aisa keh sakta. I love mom but I am not that close to her yet. Mujhe sirf itna pata hai ki woh bahut udaas rehti hai. Main unhe hasaane ki koshish karta hun,, tho woh has leti hai lekin woh dil se nahi hasti! Shaayad woh bhi dad ke baare me sochthi rehti hai. Lekin Anand, main mom ke baare me itna tho jaan gaya hun ki woh bahut acchi hai! Kabhi kabhi strict hai lekin ab mujhe pata chal gaya hai ki woh jo bhi kehti hai or karti hai, meri bhalayi ke liye!!
After hearing AD's words, AC wanted to meet his mother.. he longed to meet the person whom he had only heard about when his father was drunk and almost unconscious. She must be a very good woman because papa loves her so much and is unable to forget her even after all these years!!
AC: Anand, maine aaj papa ko yahaan bulaya!! Maine bahaana banaya ki coach unse baat karna chaahte hain.. woh abhi aate hi honge!! Main unhe tumse hi milwana chaahta tha!!
AD: Kya, tumne dad ko yahaan bulaya? (Excited and at the same time confused)Maine mom ko bhi aaj yahaan bulaya!! Mujhe pick up karne ka bahaana banaya..lekin tumse milwana chaahta tha!!
Just then a white car stopped outside the school gate and from it none other than Siddhi stepped out!!!
