Does anyone else feel like Raghav's mistreatment was exaggerated by the media? I mean, they made it seem like it was such a big deal that will be carried on for episodes but this got wrapped up so quick. 😕

I mean, Raghav being misunderstood and abused is a huge deal but it's not as big as people were proclaiming it to be. The whole abuse bit got wrapped up within the first five minutes of the episode and when it was over I was just like... okay... ??

I was upset for Raghav throughout the episode for sure but it didn't agitate or anger me as I thought it would.

Don't know if anyone else feels the same.

I've not watched the epi as of yet but it did seem like something in SBS, a grown man beaten up should result in at least an episode so 5 mins shocks me 😲

maybe they're trying to show he's character, probablyly he's used to it all i.e. misunderstanding and ill-treatment

True. Raghav had my heart today man. Compared to Naina, this guy needs so much love, care and attention it's not even funny.

I swear I will never care for Naina this much because I know she will be able to take care of herself. Raghav on the other hand...

I haven't seen the episode as of yet. But, i think they should have dragged the humiliation drama for a while, to make audience connect n feel symapthetic. They could have dragged the whole drama for a couple of episodes.I don't understand why are the creatives of this show are in a hurry😕

I thought there would be a greater discussion on it as well. Abuse is abuse. Whether it's happening upon a woman or man it is unacceptable. Also considering how "classy" the Mehra think of themselves, I didn't expect them to degrade themselves to doing something so low as hitting someone. And the fact that they consider Raghav to be their servant is even more upsetting because they're playing upon that social order hierarchy which is so strong in some areas in India. That caste & class system is highly dysfunctional and the fact it's being carried out to foreign lands is even more upsetting.

If this isn't the first time he's being abused then it becomes even more problematic since he sees himself as an orphan. As an orphan he will find himself to be highly dependent on this family who has sheltered him for so many years and will no doubt feel like he has a huge debt to pay off to them. But him being an orphan doesn't give the Mehra family the license to treat him however they want.

The Mehra family were really disgusting today.

I am of mixed opinion about the heavy chop chop done on the Raghav- abused scenes today.
a. cause i hate any Arjun scene getting edited
b. cause may be it was ok to edit and let audience ponder over the mental state of Raghav. Raghav is very vulnerable. he is all smiling from the outside, and deep down he knew he was orphaned, but today after this incident that realization came down heavily on him

Same. I feel like they should have at least shown someone standing up for Raghav. If not a family member then at least another worker who could vouch for Raghav's character. I mean, the Mehra family were so ready to jump his throat and believe Sanjana over Raghav.

Granted an accusation such as molestation is huge and should not be taken lightly but given the characters, there should have been some sort of scrutiny as to who's speaking the truth.

What Sanjana did was really disgusting as a woman because molestation is not something you throw around lightly. If this proves to be false (which I hope it will soon) and Lord forbid something happens to her in the future, who's going to believe her? It also puts into question the statement of all women who have been sexually assaulted. Are they telling the truth or are they simply lying because they don't want to get into trouble?

What's worse is that another woman, an elder woman who should be more sensible, was guiding a younger woman of today's generation onto the wrong path.

This whole angle doesn't sit well with me.

If they had to edit it I wish it was done properly. It felt quite choppy to me. From yesterday's episode we saw Dadi enter the room. We didn't need to have the episode start off with that again. We could have started straight from Anky hitting Raghav. It would have been fine with me.

The solo scene he had on the bench was also fine. It brought out a lot more on his character but there was just something that was off about the abusing scene.

Personally, it might be more of the social commentary that is being made than for the individual characters.

that bench scene was my personal favorite, followed by Dadi coming to room to give him haldi ka lep, and Raghav trying to stop her, and make her believe in him. without any words, that scene was wonderful.

and after all this i abhor PC and Sanjana and Balraj (ankyji) and also that bade papa or whoever!
