My mess
Shiva had a weird dream, he imagined Dev to be Raavi and was too embarrassed to even talk about it. He just left the store hurriedly. On his walk back home, he thought of the last few days when he insulted Raavi. Shiva was talking to himself.
“The bond that I see between Dhara bhabhi and Gautam, why can’t I have the same with Raavi?”
“Because she is not Dhara bhabhi.” Dev said it, finally catching up with Shiva.
Shiva was astonished, seeing Dev standing next to him with hands on his knees and breathing heavily.
“What?” Shiva asked.
“I am saying you are foolish, in fact both of us are stupid. We look at everything from a single parameter and that is Dhara bhabhi. Why can’t we see at our wives the way they want us to.” Dev said it in one go which confused Shiva a lot.
“What do you mean?”
“I am saying what we are doing is wrong.”
“Why are you talking like Rishita bhabhi. What is wrong in pointing out where Raavi is wrong.”
“The wrong is instead of looking at our flaws, we are pointing out their mistakes, which technically are not mistakes. Listen…” Just then Shiva’s phone started ringing and he was called to the hospital by his mom.
By now, Shiva and Raavi have realised one thing that wherever their family will go, a kaand will follow. This time, the whole Anita fiasco happened which made Shiva angry on Raavi and Raavi got upset with Shiva. To impress Suman and Gautam, Anita did not file a police complaint against Shiva but she was genuinely upset with Shiva
Anita was sitting in her room, talking to herself. “I am not going to forgive you, Shiva. You cut my hair.”
“You are upset, di, I know.” Raavi said while standing near the entrance of Anita’s room.
“Thank God you came here. Shiva is a hooligan. Look what he did to me. I am so glad you left him.”
“Who told you I have left him? I will go back in some time. I am just giving us some time.”
Anita was shocked hearing all this. She expected Raavi to be angry on Shiva.
“You are not upset with him?” She asked Raavi.
“I am. But that should not concern you. By the way, I went back to the hospital to get back your reports.”
Anita’s eyes widened in surprise. She was about to concoct a story when Raavi started talking.
“No need to lie anymore. I know what you have done. No one is going to believe me and I am not going to waste my time in playing guilty-not guilty with you, Dhara di, Gautam and Shiva.”
“Raavi, but what Shiva did to me-“
“It was absolutely wrong. But I know two wrongs won’t make a right. You better stay away from me and my married life. Shiva is a hooligan but he is my hooligan, he is a mess but he is my mess. I will handle him. I don’t want you or anyone to interfere in between my married life when your own life is in shambles.”
With that, Raavi left the room and came downstairs where Shiva was already waiting for her.
“Listen, I know what I did was non-pardonable but… I can apologise to Anita also.”
“No need for that. Why are you here?” Raavi asked crossing her arms.
“Gaumbi told me to come here and apologise to you and Anita-“
“Nothing else?”
“Ummm…actually. Umm…yeah…nothing…” Shiva was trying to form a coherent sentence to make sure Raavi comes with him but he was failing at it and that too badly.
Raavi was just observing his behaviour and was shaking her head. “Shiva, you know what. You need to grow up. I have adored Gaumbi and Dhara di all my life but…but even I can see the hold they have over you. You are married, to me. I will come back with you when you will get to know the meaning of this word- marriage.”
Shiva was stunned hearing Raavi say all this to him. He was trying to understand why Gautam and Dhara’s name was getting dragged into his married life but just then, it clicked when he got a flashback of all the instances where he disregarded Raavi and compared her to Dhara. He was embarrassed and emotional at the same time for treating Raavi the way he did. A small tear made its way through his eye which Raavi noticed.
“I will become worthy of you. Soon” with that, Shiva rubbed the tear and left a baffled Raavi who knew what Shiva meant by it. Now, she just has to wait.
