I dont like gombi, for some reasons like not stopping his wife in danda kaand, the way he hit shiva in divorse track. They hadn't expected shivi to be so popular that all the audience could talk about pandya store was shivi.that explains why they took kinshuk as gombi.he is a much senior and established actor than KD.shiny is also senior to Alice.gaura were always supposed to be the leads.

KD and alice were comparatively less famous.they hadn't expected the hype and popularity of shivi.

Now they can't sideline them completely nor give them a proper track.kare to kya?

But then they are makers earning money they should do something to make more out of shivi popularity instead of giving them 25 sec ss, use every character properly instead if shoving dhara in to our throat , bhai nahi dekhna usse how difficult it is to understand this 😅

I think it is understandable because lot of tracks have been focused on him or him and Alice. This is the first time Shiva is lending support to the family. So let it be. My only complaint is that they are stretching unnecessary scenes and giving them more screen space rather than making it crisper and move on with the story,

I've been around since the beginning in this forum and noticed an increasing frequency of opinions about how the makers might not have anticipated ShiVi's popularity, envisioned Dhara as lead etc etc over time. I don't really get this, though, WHY would they not anticipate the popularity? It's a remake with an original and about 8 other versions to take reference from and ALL of the regional shows witnessed the same trend - a boom in ratings and popularity upon introduction of the ShiVi ship, as well as a gradual limelight on their story above others whilst keeping the family drama balanced and fair to all characters. The audience wanted ShiVi and makers and actors didn't have a fuss accepting it and serving what sold.

It's been the exact same for every single version.

So why didn't makers expect that? Why didn't certain actors expect that if they'd done their homework before signing up? Idk what's happening behind the scenes that has thrown this beautiful ensemble with a lot of scope to the wolves but it's definitely not the popular sentiment of unexpected audience feedback from what I gather. I don't mean to offend anybody, just putting this out here because it's been on my mind for a while.

Like Prema here, I was excited to see the ITV adaptation of PS cz I knew the og plotline and wanted to see how they'd play out ShiVi mostly. My regional version closely follows the og but I never watched. Mainly because of disinterest but also too much misogyny and toxicity. I was excited to find ShiVi on equal footing here and a more inclusive attitude in the family (initially).

It's good that you put it out here.if shivi are popular in all the versions of the show and the makers explore their story and cash on it ,i wonder why they are not doing so here.

Trp rising to almost double due to the wedding track is huge.Shows struggle to even get a raise of 0.1-0.2.

And this is just the offline audience.

The online popularity is huge.the trends, the fanpages, IF activity.its visible.the shivi bike segment of SBB got 1 million views.the only segment that was close to this was of anupama.and that is the number one show of itv.

This speaks volumes.i don't know why they are not utilising their potential.noone wants the whole episode to be about shivi romance, but they deserve to have a meaningful track that is just about them along with balanced family scenes.

Nowadays no show is about just 2 characters, ensemble cast or not.its not possible for the story to revolve around 2 characters either.a decent amount of screenspace and some meaningful scenes is all that the fans want.
